I was not expecting the result I got, a few weeks of waiting and I have been reunited with almost £15k from a private pension due to opting out of SERPS. I did not expect anything at all but thought it worth checking....wow, I am amazed, thanks so much.

I've been trying to find an old pension plan that I took out a number of years ago, I even had a policy number and everything, no one could find it. But after a few months Gretel has come to the rescue and found it for me. Just waiting on confirmation from the pension company now, so 5stars for gretel for coming through.

Painless access - high security but if you know your details then no issues arise. It seems I may have a forgotten private pension - have contacted the company concerned and they are now progressing my query. It would be lovely to receive any amount, however small. Pleased Gretal alerted me. Thank you.

Tom was so helpful. Communicated well and persisted until he found my daughter's Child Trust Fund. I definitely wouldn't have tracked this down without him.

When you have been married, divorced, changed your name back to your maiden name, then got married a 2nd time - it can't deal with this. I have told it numerous times what my name change was on what date and what my evidence docs are and it shuffles it round into the wrong order. It thinks it knows better than I know myself what I was called and when. Annoying.

I have been on this for months on end and provided ample details to no avail. Not sure how hard they are getting on at companies but I think I’m gonna have to try a different one to use

not sure how or why it does not pull up any information on me, surely it would show current pension pots which I know about. it does not pull a single result up for me

Been registered for a few months and absolutely nothing!!! Registered with another one and within seconds I had virtually all my pension info. You say you are new, but all my providers are well known such as Scottish Widows, but to have NO RESULTS is really poor!!!

Having registered with Gretel a few months ago and in all honesty having forgotten I'd done this, it was a great surprise to hear that they had found a policy I didn't know existed. I was met with kindness and empathy. The lovely case worker kept me updated on the progress, actioned documents promptly. Gretel has strict rules and I was reassured that they will only release information once all information has been cross checked. Highly recommned this, epecially during such a difficult time. Registering on Gretel was the most productive this I have ever done since the passing of my husband in 2020. We are now in 2024 and they found! an investment for my late husband. It was not found straight away but I got a message that they will continue to search and I couldn't believe it when about 6 months later, I got an email saying they find 1 account in his name. I contacted the company and YES! there was an account with very significant amount. Without Gretel, that money would have been lost because I had no idea it was there. I will recommend Gretel to anyone in similar position.

I found this wonderful service on Martin Lewis, Moneysaving expert. Whilst in my case (5 shillings from 1965 in an old Post Office Savings Bank) there wasn't a hidden surprise, they were amazing in helping me to quickly ascertain this fact. Excellent service.
