THIS IS FANTASTIC PLACE TO GO…. 44 RAPID CHARGERS… I HAVE ELECTRIC VAN… AND HAS EXTRA LARGE CHARGING PORT…… UPSTAIRS HAS MASSIVE LOUNGE AREA AND BOOTHS… MASSAGE AREAS… MY CHILDREN THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT PLACE….

Gridserve is usually a good spot to charge, but at the Peterborough Dobbies two chargers weren't working once I plugged in. Ended up doing a detour to the Services down the road.

Sometimes I press charge and it connects. Then, other times it asks to sign in, which would be fine but at Wolstanton there is no 4G near the chargers so cant get the email with the code. I had to walk around the carpark until I received it. It would be easier with a membership card.

I was stuck at Hamilton services Scotland, trying to get a charge. I didn't have enough left to find another charger and the Gridserves were down. Their engineer appeared and rebooted the chargers and talked me through what to do. Thank you Gridserve and thank you Shaun Sterling! Sterling by name sterling service by nature!

The charger did not terminate the session when instructed by me, the cable remained locked because the car thought, and displayed that the session was still active.
Only when an agent reset their system did my car receive a 'Session Ended Signal's and release the cable. The agent said this sometimes happens.
I exchanged a number of emails with customer service complaining about the situation; their position was no issue with their system my car was at fault. I have not experienced this issue before or since. They wouldn't provide evidence that they transmitted the 'Session Ended Signal'.
Conclusion; a very expensive and time consuming experience, Gridserve did not/would not provide evidence that their Session Active signal was set to OFF, therefore I don't know if:
My car is faulty, which would be useful.
That I paid the correct amount.
My predicted 7 hr journey was extended by 40 mins while the problem was resolved.
The agent was helpful but Customer Service was only focused on trying to convince me that Gridserve was not faulty instead of investigating..
Overall a poor but very expensive service.

I find your charging reliable but during a recent holiday in Penzance I found that the town was a black spot for DC rapid charging. Could you consider looking at this location for a future location as it is a popular holiday destination?

This must be the biggest abuse of a monopoly in the country. With almost every UK service station in their grasp they must be laughing all the way to the bank at 92p per unit wheras some are as low as 59p. Wouldn't be too bad if they had cast iron reliability, but I'm afraid not.

Useless - no network for App to work
Useless. Credit card terminal did not function. App didn't work as no network coverage for EE. Also the App's map would only recognise southbound chargers (not Northbound where I was) and App had no functionality as there was no network. Please invest. Otherwise - What is the point?

The contactless card system was not working. I tried several cards and a phone and they all failed. I completed the charge by downloading the app.

All chargers were working although they seemed very slow - that may have been because the temperature was 35 degrees plus.
You prices have gone up again. I understand whey I should pay more than at home but 25p at home and 92p in pubic is becoming a little excessive.

Membury charger not quick at all, so move on to Leigh Dellamere which was great in terms of speed.

Very impressive terminals at Toddington services southbound, half an hour charge on 175Kw charger and away we go. Used the GRIDSERVE aApp also

Well done to all at GRIDSERVE.

Was caught short on an EV road trip as BP charger out of service. Dropped into the shopping park for a McDonalds and saw the Gridserve across the way.
400kW charger, massive heavy cable but not springy, so actually no worse than other charger cables to handle.
Connected, charged, disconnected just like we wish all chargers did.
Emailed receipt is a nice touch.

Quick and easy.

Hard to find at service station. Cost too high.

Was on holiday coming to the uk i could not believe the prices gridserve. I went elsewhere. I would not pay this price.

Great facility good food. Would be a 5 but just so expensive to charge!

The charging is all ok and fine although to authorise from the app does take a very long time.
My main complaint really is about the card reader screen at pretty much all charging points they are unreadable and if I’m honest I have been using other chargers because I can see the cost etc much better on there big screens
