Guitar Mastery Method is all you need to master the guitar. I have been playing since 2004 (over 20 years). I started by focusing on Classical, I've had a handful of instructors, but nothing has compared to what I learned since becoming a VIP with Guitar Mastery Method. I have learned more about the fretboard, scales, playing music and actually understanding all of it. I am not just repeating what someone else wrote, I am applying it all to my own creativity in a way and at a level I have never been able to achieve with personal instructors. Charlie, Lexi, Eddie and Mike are teaching in such a calm and understandable way, that even i, as a not native english speaker, can follow easily.
The live calls make so much fun.

Amazing teaching but beyond that phenomenal support and making many years of struggle come together. Charlie Mike Lexi Eddie are amazing ! Worth every penny. I am sold on this system and teachers!

I found GMM in 2015 and purchased a small number of individual courses until 2020 when I became a VIP member, and am now a lifetime member. While I have played guitar since 10 years of age (self taught), I had no music theory nor view into what it takes to improve. GMM has filled these gaps well beyond expectations--it changed my life! The instructors are outstanding, bring skills and expertise along with real world experiences from the music industry. The community is also very positive...there is constant encouragement and insight from a global group of musicians. I highly recommend GMM for guitarists of any level--beginner to band veterans.

I have loved every minute of the GMM program. They have taught me volumes, so much so I joined as a lifetime member. I highly recommend this group to teach anyone how to improve their guitar skills. Unfortunately in this review we can’t respond to the negative reviews. You can’t expect to excel in this format unless you get off your ass and get totally involved. This isn’t something that instantly transforms you into a Hendricks, Clapton, or Lifeson. Each and everyone of these team members care about our progress. So if you don’t do the work, don’t complain about not improving. Thank you Charlie, Eddie, Lexi and Mike and the behind the scenes guy Andhe. You all are 🔥!!!!

After playing for 60 years - Guitar mastery team has taught me why the tools I have work, and added new tools without any pain. Their methods are very simple to get the tools under your belt. Charlie is a great life champion. His philosophy and teaching method are very encouraging. GMM has taught me so much over the last 7 months it's unbelievable. Thank y'all!

GMM is the absolute best forum to learn the guitar!! I had my doubts when I was first considering joining GMM when I discovered it online several months ago. I AM SO GLAD I DID IT!!
I cannot express how elated I’ve been since joining! It’s far exceeded my expectations and the forum that Charlie Wallace has created. The GLOBAL PARTICIPATION in GMM is the greatest endorsement of excellence & professionalism in this system! I was an absolute beginner @ the age of 64 when I joined, and that was in part why I had doubts about joining. Maybe I was too old? Everything would be over my head. I truly thought it would be a very mechanical, computer generated process where you would have to get it on your own so to speak. There would not be a way to ask questions, like when you have a “real instructor”, but I was going to give it a try. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!
The hands on approach is far beyond what I anticipated. I had no idea there would be zoom meetings to enjoy the interaction with, not just an instructor, but multiple instructors, and the huge forum of other students from all over the globe.
I had tried one other time to take guitar lessons from a great guitarist, but it was virtually impossible to always go every Tuesday @ 6:30PM 20 minutes away for a 1 hour lesson that I paid $30 a week (which was a very reasonable amount for a private lesson where I live in Texas. Not to mention, just because you can play very good, doesn’t mean you’re a good teacher.
I could go on and on, but if you’re looking for a guitar teacher give GUITAR MASTERY METHOD a shot! You will not regret it! The only thing that will hold you back will be you! I attend all the live zoom meeting lessons that I can because IT’S THE BOMB! But if you have to miss, everything is recorded and you can review at whatever time, as many times as you want. If I have a personal question/request (and I have!), it’s no problem! They have a forum to send any question you need help on!
Best advice….JOIN AS A VIP! Worth every penny!

I greatly appreciate all of the hard work you put in, and continue to put in every week! I’m very thankful for your help in achieving a lifelong dream of mine to learn to play the guitar. I hope that it works out where I can join in on the trip to Nashville with the group, but if not this time, maybe next year!

I have been a member of GMM for several years, it has been the best learning experience in regard to my guitar playing and my music knowledge, that I have ever experienced. It has allowed me to play the guitar with so much more ease and knowledge, switching from rhythm to lead in any key and play solos all over the neck. It has also created a huge improvement in my song writing.

Charlie and his entire team do a fantastic job. If you've always wanted to play the guitar and thought you probably couldn't do it, think again. Charlie and the team will get you there. Everything that comes from this website is an outstanding value...keep up the good work!

Guitar Mastery Method is the best value in guitar instruction available anywhere. The courses are intense, and Charlie tells you at the outset if you get 60% to 70% of what is presented it will change your playing. I say you need to really internalize much less to experience a remarkable transformation as a player. I doubt I really own more 25% - 35% of the content of the 2026 M1 and M2 courses and my playing is forever changed. The lessons are easy to follow and do, the support materials are specific, thorough and effective, and depth of interaction with the community of players including instructors and students all around the world is fun and exciting and profoundly informative. The value provided is incredible. The volume of essential guitar knowledge to be gained while having this much fun for the amount it costs makes the money almost irrelevant. If you want to level up your playing, and you're willing to do the work, Guitar Mastery Method will get you to playing how you want no matter what that means. Obviously, you gotta do the work, but you will be done wasting time and will be working on the exact skills and knowledge you crave. There are other excellent programs you can choose, but none are this excellent.

What made my experience great was the quality of the instructors that are professional musicians, the methods they used to motivate and teach us, the structure and the content of the courses and the live sessions, the private Facebook Group etc.
What the company is doing well is the teaching, the coaching, the motivation, the support, the process. the commitment. For less that 50 US cents a day, world wide touring musicians teaching us is just incredible. It is available 24 hours a day. That is not me spending money, that is investing in myself.

GMM has built a system to teach guitar in way I have not experienced in my 60 year of playing. The instructors are pro's and best yet, real people that actually care about what they are doing. I have been a member for 3 years and watched GMM grow and get better and bring more to the table. If your looking for a place to learn guitar, give Guitar Mastery Method a try. You have nothing to loose except time, if your not learning from GMM.

What I've learned in WEEKS, I struggled to learn in decades with other systems. The VIP Club is far less expensive than all the money I've spent with other lessons and instructors. But the results are phenomenal. I still can't believe that I'm playing guitar at a level I'd only assumed the prodigies were capable of. Now I can SEE the music before I even pick up the guitar. The instructors really care about your progress, And the community is right there with you along the way. If you're really serious about learning to play guitar, this is the absolute best path to take, And it's the best way I know how to justify collecting all the guitars that have collected dust over the years. My wife doesn't complain when I buy another guitar anymore.

Everything about GMM has been great. There are so many courses available that it can get overwhelming but if you are patient with yourself and do the work you will be amazed at what you will learn. Having the ability to replay the lessons as many times as you like helps if you are having trouble, and the community is beyond compare. Everyone is supportive and there is no negativity. The instructors great and don't act like they are above you, they truly seem to want to help. Cheers for Eddie, Mike, Lexi, Charlie, and others who have been there previously.

I spent approx 20 yrs frustrating myself, thinking I could truly learn the guitar via tab books and "how to" books/websites. It wasn't until I found GMM that I truly began to understand the questions that needed to be answered to play freely with skill and feelings. I've got a library of how to's and tab books...You simply can't scale and be free if you are dependent on regurgitating tabs. No person can remember every nuance. I didn't want to need books or my Ipad to play anything...I wanted to play everything at will. GMM is the only program on the market I've found to give you the true gift of being a guitarist.

Generally, I have had great experiences with this company. Their programs do a great job of simplifying learning the guitar, which helps build knowledge and confidence in my guitar playing abilities. For the most part, the instructions are simple enough to understand what is being taught without throwing too much information at you at once. I think the staff and instructors at GMM are exceptionally good at giving easy to understand instructions and advice on how to practice to better learn the concepts being taught. The instructors are professional guitar players that apply their knowledge with patience and an ability to make learning easier and more fun. GMM also has created a supportive community environment with other students at all levels of ability that share their support and suggestions, or answers, to questions and frustrations.

The reason I didn't give a 5 out of 5 rating, is because I felt that the courses are focused too heavily on soloing techniques and not enough on foundational instruction on basic chords, strumming techniques and rhythm, which in my opinion is very important to being able to play guitar such that I, and others listening or playing along, can enjoy.

Overall, the GMM value for the money spent was well worth the price!

GMM is well worth the investment.. If you want to play guitar and are serious about learning, no matter your genre, this is the place to go. What is really important here is that you're learning. Not just. One methodology or a single set of something? Or how to do a lick. You know, all that stuff is in there. What you're learning is how to think like a musician. And once you're there, and you start that process. You start being able to apply to cross all. Genres that you make plans. My personal. An example is that I play with a church phrase band. And. There's not much shredding. There's not a lot of. Heavy guitar. But there is. The understanding of music there is the arpeggios, and there is the concept of chord changes. It's about being able to work with the Nashville number system, changing on the fly, and understanding aspects of what you're doing that go beyond just strumming or playing guitar. You actually become a guitar player, and you call yourself a musician,

I am 67 years old and been playing guitar since I was 12 and I have learned more about how to play guitar in the past year than I have learned in my entire life.

Guitar Mastery Method (GMM) has made me an entirely different guitar player. I have been playing guitar for 50 years and I was just stuck and frustrated. I have taken multiple in person and on line guitar classes and was just overwhelmed. I didn't understand the diatonic scale, the CAGED sytem, the Nashville Number System and the modes were a foreign language. These instructors have such a wealth of knowledge but the way they share it is fun and easy to understand. I had several lightening bolt moments where I couldn't believe how easy it was and wondered why no one ever taught it this way before.

The community is also great. I highly advise signing up for the VIP lessons and you can replay them anytime which I have. But you have to put in the time too. The group is helpful and never judgemental. It's just been a great and productive experience. And people have noticed the difference in my playing in a fairly short time.

I typically do not write reviews but felt strongly that this one was worth it. If you're on the fence, just do it! Try it! GMM makes this easy and fun! And they care. It has truly changed my life as a musicican!
