Disconcerting. Ordered a Rolex Datejust online, encouraged by the website's claims that the watch is guaranteed authentic and comes with a 12 month warranty. Customer service originally told me that they were changing their processes and that authentication and warranty documents would follow. Now they say "We no longer provide the email with the authentication". They have also so far been unable to clarify what exactly the warranty covers and they have presented me with no particulars. Again, they say "Your receipt of the watch will be when the warranty starts and we do not provide written confirmation of this."
They have also been unable to comment on why the clasp and crown do not match the watch (the clasp is dated much later, and the crown markings are not typical of this model). They may be service replacements, but this was not mentioned in the listing.
Lastly, the watch was packed unbelievably poorly. A £4,000 watch placed in a flimsy presentation box, which in turn was packed in a larger packing box with no bubble wrap or protective material. The watch was bouncing around all over the place in the parcel - madness.
I would be very sceptical about ordering from H&T again. The website states that "Our items are all supplied with a digital authentication card* to mark the items passing these tests and all come with a 1 year warranty.
*Digital authentication cards are sent within 2 weeks of delivery to the email provided on the order." Evidently this is simply untrue. Beware.

I purchased an Omega watch, it was advertised as including papers, but no papers were sent. Tried to resolve with customer service but go no where.

UPDATE - £50 refund was offered, despite 20% impact on watch value

Just another dodgy dealer no reciept no refund. Carp company.

Visited the Dover store this morning with a quantity of scrap gold to sell, staff where helpful and we returned after 45mins to get there valuation, it was quite a lot lower than we expected from our research online, we went to another outlet and they offered over £2000 more for the same items. We all know that businesses need to make a profit, just thought the difference was a bit much.

Had to visit H&T twice recently and was a bit apprehensive. This was totally put aside as I was served by a member of staff named Iqra . What a credit to your company Iqra immediately made me feel at ease valued and appreciated. My transaction was explained in detail and answered any questions I had with great knowledge and professionalism . She is truly a very knowledgeable and empathetic member of your team. I will definitely recommend your company and services to friends & family with a 5 star recommendation. Also the other 2 members of staff was just as helpful & engaging. A real credit the whole team. Thank you Iqra it was your manner and tone that made the experience a pleasant one 😀

Won’t be ordering again, ordered on Tuesday of last week, received an email from dad saying they were expecting my order, still haven’t received my parcel only to be told by H&T that it’s going to be collected later today, shocking service

Greeted soon has i walked through the door friendly smile asked a few questions regarding my jewellery was offered top price truly happy, staff went above and beyond made me feel at easy

Very good service from the staff in the Swindon branch, who are always polite, friendly, helpful and professional. I've also had dealings with the centralised customer services centre, and the service provided from the staff there has also been very polite and professional.

One area for improvement would be the response time to e-mails.

Always very helpful and informative.

The Eastern Avenue Branch deserves a special mention the Manager Marie and the staff are caring and compassionate. I have been going there for years and have had excellent communication with them, and have been treated with respect and understanding. Zero stars about Bradford store in the centre of Bradford using acid when an item has hallmarks and has been tested with a magnetic device. That damages the item for good.

Viewed the handy work at another place damaged an item.

Acid damages an item so that the re-sale value is diminished to nothing really. Wouldn't trust the staff here.

What's the point unless it's to data gather information especially as my full name, email addrss and contact number will not find me at H&T especially as I didn't do any porn booking

The member of staff we dealt with was very professional and kind, there was no stigma attached to what we were doing no questions as to why we would always use
H&T we have brought and also borrowed with the same professionalism

Smooth transaction and super helpful staff. Received a good price for my unwanted gold.

I have purchased two luxury watches in the past 12 months from H&T. On both occasions I received good communication and service, great pricing taking advantage of sale, and both watches were as described or better in excellent condition. Packaging for transport also of a high standard. I realise there will always be negative feedback, but I can only report a first class experience with H&T on two separate occasions. Well done H&T team.

They acknowledge complaints and say they have 8 weeks to reply, this has now passed but still no reply

Update…..My initial issues around authenticity were fully addressed and the item proved to be great value and fully serviced etc. I have now reviewed and edited once the matter was resolved to address the action taken by the company

Visited the Oldham store on Saturday and purchased limited edition Omega Planet Ocean watch. Although happy with the price and condition of the watch the aftersales service has been a nightmare and would off this experience not revisit for further purchase.
I have now been waiting over 2 days for a certificate of authenticity for the watch which I was promised at the time and which had still not arrived despite numerous calls to both the store and head office. To say I am disappointed is an understatement and the hassle has taken away the enjoyment of the purchase due to a lack of ownership to resolve my issue.
I have again rang the store today to be told they have no manager in, they can’t contact head office by phone and have no way of escalation. I managed to find a phone number in seconds and spoke to head office despite the fact this was also still a waste of time as no one from complaints has had the decency to return my call or address my issue.
Would not recommend based on customer service once they’ve had your cash.
