I have been very impressed with the service from Healthpath. The SIBO test was clear to use and efficient. The plan included in the price has been very informative beginning with a video from a naturopath doctor explaining the SIBO test results, and well received advice about starting slow with the recommendations. There were supplements and diet advised with numerous recipes which have been very helpful. I am also pleased that there is the option to speak to a naturopath doctor again if required. Overall, I have been impressed with Healthpath and would recommended their services.

I got a sibo test which turned out to be positive for methane sibo. I hadn't initially bought the additional health plan which was on discount and which they offered to me after the test at bargain price. I thought the health plan was excellent with a personalised video from one of the practitioners explaining the test plus a list of recommended treatment supplements. Additionally the health plan had all kinds of food suggestions and general info. I am making good progress so highly recommended.

I ordered a breath test for SIBO and IMO which arrived in good time. The test instructions were clear and it was straightforward to prepare for and take the test. I received the results much faster than anticipated which was nice. There was a small error in the result description but when I enquired this was quickly rectified and didn’t affect the actual results. It was a positive experience.

I completed a Healthpath Gut test as a last resort after years of debilitating symptoms including significant unintentional weight loss, marked fatigue after meals, systemic inflammation, food reactivity, bloating, and occasional flu-like reactions to certain foods (especially high-sulphur foods such as eggs, garlic, lamb and salmon).
My report showed Dientamoeba fragilis positive, very high sulphate-reducing bacteria, severe dysbiosis (index 15), extremely elevated Secretory IgA (>7,500), elevated zonulin (barrier dysfunction), and objective malabsorption of fat and sugar, yet these findings were largely minimised as mild “bloating.”
For clarity: Secretory IgA >7,500 is NOT a subtle finding—this indicates a persistent immune activation working 24/7 in the gut. Even the practitioner stated this could represent “either parasite or infection,” but then later stated there was “no infection,” and then stated the parasite “rarely causes symptoms,” despite my results clearly matching the literature on parasitic-driven immune activation and permeability. These are contradictory interpretations.
Furthermore, the sulphate-reducing bacteria result was dismissed as common, yet my lived experience is that sulphur foods cause profound symptoms, including body pain, heavy fatigue and water retention. This cannot be considered incidental.
Also concerning was no meaningful discussion around malabsorption, despite objective markers showing impaired fat and carbohydrate digestion—highly relevant given my rapid and ongoing weight loss.
The supplements recommended (Saccharomyces boulardii, zinc-carnosine, ginger bitters) may indeed be helpful, but these do not address the seriousness of the parasite, the long-term immune activation, or the malabsorptive picture shown.
I feel these findings are clinically significant and correlate strongly with my symptoms over many years, and I expected a more thorough medical interpretation rather than having them brushed off as “mild bloating.”
I hope Healthpath consider that many of us undertake this testing only after years of unexplained symptoms, and findings such as severe dysbiosis, extremely high secretory IgA, and ongoing malabsorption are not minor, and should not be minimised.

Recently returned test kits one year after ordering, after contacting customer service around 3 days after their stated "cooling off period" saying I wouldn't be able to use one of the tests I had ordered so could I return it for a refund, but would keep the other. They offered credit, which was obviously no use to me as the issue was I am on medication and had been seeing a doctor, there had been some changes with my situation. I originally thought I could stop taking medication to do their test.. but then found I couldn't.
I later changed my mind about the other test but didn't know what to do - as you basically order, pay them the high price, and then they just leave you to get on with it. No follow up emails or anything. I thought I would get some contact from one of their clinicians after ordering as they claim personalised service etc but they actually give you nothing after ordering.
I emailed them asking for a refund as I hadn't returned either test, but said I would pay their admin fees and the cost of the kits. I received no reply to this email which is not acceptable. I decided to post the kits back just to make it clear I wasn't going to use them, as I'm on medication. I asked for a full refund. Again I have received no reply, and the package and letter was sent registered post to their address.
Basically if you're dealing with people's health and you claim to be recommended by all of these top media outlets, don't treat people like this. I haven't actually received any service from them so I have paid £500+ for nothing. I understand the situation isn't ideal for them which is why I offered to pay their costs, but it's clear now they are not interested in their clients/customers at all.
I would say don't order from HealthPath because if you have an issue they won't take seriously the price that you paid. They say they are not doctors etc but their customers obviously will be people with health issues. I think they are just playing into the gap created by the NHS's current poor handling of IBS and gut problems.
£500+ is not a reasonable price to pay for absolutely nothing from them.
