We recently bought our first home and were very impressed by the diligence and professionalism of Daria and Emilia in acting on our behalf. The sale went through in a timely manner and they ensured that all enquiries were sufficiently satisfied, without accepting shortcuts. We also appreciated their willingness to talk us through the process and provide reassurances where needed. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Me and my partner have just purchased our first home. Victoria, Emily & Georgina were our case handlers during the process and were extremely helpful, efficient, and always available to speak too with quick replies to emails and queries.
Although this was our first experience with a solicitor our experience with Harker & Hewitson has been excellent and could not fault anything.

Emilia Plant (Conveyancing Assistant) and Daria Kaczmarek (Chartered Legal Executive) handled the sale of my flat in Cardiff. I was a little apprehensive to start as the firm weren't local to Cardiff - I'd found them via my mortgage provider who offered to search for quotes from solicitors who were on their approved panel of firms via an online portal. I went with Hewitson and Harker not because they were the cheapest (the price quoted wasn't the cheapest but was not unreasonable) but because they had some of the best reviews and I knew selling a leasehold property isn't always straightforward. I wasn't disappointed. Daria, supported by Emilia dealt with the sale of my leasehold flat brilliantly. I was able to reach them easily by direct dial and they always responded to my emails promptly. I'm the type of person who asks LOTS of questions as I struggle with my mental health which means I can get very anxious but I was never made to feel like a nuisance. Both Daria and Emilia I found to be professional and thorough but equally with a human touch which was lovely. They are currently handling the purchase I am making of a cottage and Daria has picked up on several things which I would not have even thought of and I feel like I am in safe hands. Thank you both you have been brilliant and a credit to the firm!

Highly recomend this company. they went above and beyond what was expected of them to help me to get a sale completed in time. 100% Customer service!

Firstly they put my transaction at the back of the queue as others were trying to beat the stamp duty increase and as it didn't affect mine it became lower priority - Secondly one query which was a simple - do I need to print all this document or only the page I need to sign - took 6 days to respond to (lots of other queries took ages but that one was just ridiculous - I'd already posted it before I got the reply) and then thirdly after the transaction had completed (6 months after starting and there was very little chain) they sent me a demand for a further £200+ with no justification for this amount (it took about 3 emails before I was provided with a correct explanation for the extra money with one of the partners demanding it without any explanation!) - it turned out that not only had they missed something up they had also added the original bill up wrong - what sort of tools are they using that don't add up correctly for them? - wouldn't recommend and also the selling estate agents will no longer recommend

Very organised solicitors overall, really happy we used H&H on advice from RedRow housing developments. Molly and William were prompt and timely in dealing with all aspects of our sale AND purchase, which we completed both in 6 weeks, fantastic.

We found Daria and Emilia very good to deal with. Good response on emails and actually answered the phone, unlike the solicitor we used when we sold.
From our initial offer being accepted to moving in was less than 3 months.

I have taken a star off, as after completion, they came back requesting an updated payment as some items had been more expensive than they initially quoted.

We would use agan, however, experience soured by extra invoice following completion.

Following the reply. This was an error from your side nothing to do with it being a quote. There was something missed off and as it was a third party charge I was told even though this is your error as it should have been included it couldn’t be waived. Hence why the low stars as these things should be checked before completion as appreciate costs can change but this was not the case this time

Handled my dads house purchase, all the staff were friendly and helpful and it would have been 5 stars for the service. But after settling final accounts and completion taking place we were told something was missed off the bill and told to pay this . Totally get mistakes happen but when you are told everything is completed and nothing else to do or pay then get an email out of the blue it overshadows the whole process as final accounts should be checked before completion to make sure figures are correct not after
