I hate to leave bad reviews but I have…
I hate to leave bad reviews but I have no alternative now.
I have paid for an EICR test- unsatisfactory.
Paid for the remedial works a month ago. Since then all communication has stopped. I’ve sent several emails, tried calling several times with no answer.
As this is for a rental property, I’d assume a company would take more responsibility in communication on compliance related legislation.
UPDATE 18th SEPTEMBER:
I had a voicemail left after this review. I emailed back as I was on an appointment with the correct person to contact- email ignored & no further forward.

This is the third property I have used
This is the third property I have used Hexo electrical services for.
each time they have provided a very fast and efficient service.
Their engineers are not time wasters and just get on with the job.
The quotes are very reasonable and I have managed to get the properties updated for a few hundred pounds.
I have already recommended Hexo to my friends who have also used their services. I cannot speak more highly of them.

The review of your smoke alarms in the property is a service we offer free of charge.
It is not part of the EICR, and they do not have an effect on the outcome.
The inspector put on his report that he was unsure of the expiry date of the alarms so we have offered you a price in the C3 'recommendations' to replace these.
If our remedial engineers find that a certain part of the works quoted for are not actually required they are instructed to inform us immediately and a refund is given.
You have a total of SIX C2 faults in the property which have made the EICR fail. For these we have quoted £340 plus VAT to fix and re-issue a satisfactory EICR. Hardly a king's ransom to ensure the safety of your tenants.

Not bad
Not bad at all, fast responses and fast report, the EICR inspection itself was done in 15-20 mins. Priced competitively. Unfortunately for me I got an unsatisfactory rating on the report but a test is a test, it is what it is! They were also quick to provide a quote with a few options for rectification work.

Found online for EICR. They failed it and want to charge £150 just to change a pendant fitting and retest.
Hard to get through to and don’t answer e mails even with chasing.

EICR unsatisfactory
EICR unsatisfactory : they quote over 1000 pounds remediation because RCD protection is AC and not A on 8 circuits. When I tried to understand, the explanation was basically as detailed as 'it's too old that's it, you have to replace everything'. I think you can't ask for that amount of money from someone and refuse to give some details when they dare to ask why.

I had an EICR carried out for my rental…
I had an EICR carried out for my rental property, which identified a number of remedial items. The team at Hexo responded promptly to my questions, explained the findings clearly, and confirmed exactly what was included in the remedial works.
The remedial work was completed professionally and on time. Following completion, they provided a Satisfactory EICR together with the relevant certification, giving me confidence that everything had been completed correctly.
