UPDATE #2: was told to put a specific headline for my email and guess what??? STILL NO RESPONSE!! So this is attempt #10 to get the shoes returned!
I am out the $150 for the shoes and definitely want to warn others of this company!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! BUYER BEWARE!

It took over two months for the shoes to arrive. Had I known they were coming directly from China, I wouldn't have ordered them in the first place. Once they finally did arrive, they were at least 4 sizes too small...apparently sizing is very different there, but I followed the sizing chart.
Now it has been over a month, at least 9 emails later, and I am being offered a 20% refund on the shoes and Hike Balance wants me to pay to return them to China. Are you kidding?? I will not be a returning customer, nor will I recommend them to anyone. In fact, I will tell everyone to avoid HB.

Don’t try returning shipped items. It took 6 emails before I actually received a correct address to return to. Which of course puts it out of their 14 day return policy. This company is aweful.

This company sent me the wrong size and is refusing to correct the issue unless I pay exorbitant shipping costs to return to China. Customer service is ignorant and borderline rude. Do not give your money to this bunch of con artists!

Per the company's reply to this review: I have reached out. Case has been reviewed. No satisfaction offered... Just condescension and no resolution. This company will give you nothing but the run-around. Again, do not purchase from this company!

Total junk, a scam for sure. Product is of poor quality, sizing is off, impossible to return. Please save your money!

I am getting the 3rd degree after requesting information on how to return. I have sent 5 pictures, still in plastic. Never worn them. Too narrow.

I received the shoes on 8/13/25 and immediately tried them on and found them way too small and immediately tried to call Hike Balance and found the number was not in service! I then wrote to them and their response was I didn’t have to return the shoes IF I bought 2 more pairs!?!?! I responded that I wasn’t going to buy more shoes! Their next response was to take pictures of the shoes and the way was I was packaging them. I did that and sent the pictures to them. They sent me a RETURN ticket number but no address to return to. I then asked for an address and no response so i wrote again and they responded that they didn’t get the pictures so AGAIN I sent multiple pictures.
I sent 12 texts to them asking to EXCHANGE the shoes. It is now 8/29/2025 and still no ability to return the shoes!
They advertised a 30 day money back guarantee but they don’t say you won’t be allowed to use that guarantee!!!
Of course I denied to pay the credit card charge and at least didn’t have to pay these scammers!

They feel like walking on marshmallows — soft, but still supportive. My back and knees thank you.

Customer service was super helpful. I had a sizing question, and they replied within 2 hours.

Worst purchase I have made in decades. Agree with most complaints. At least it is not just me. Weeks to get the shoes and insert. Shoes too small. Necessary wide toe box nonexistent. Inserts did not fit shoe. Ghosted in most emails but eventually told to send picture of shoes. Then told product can be shipped back to China for refund. I originally thought it was a Dover Delaware company. $33 to return a $70 product. Will donate it and use the lesson to teach others that Hike Balance appears illegitimate. Their ability to come in on top of a google search for comfortable wide box walking shoes is a “tragedy”. Hopefully the Better Business Bureau is aware. Caveat emptor. Consumer beware.

I ordered these on Aug 1. They took over two weeks to arrive from China. They do not fit - their advertised "wide toe box" is a joke. These are very narrow and run short in length. Now trying to return these never-worn shoes and have been getting the run-around for over 10 days. They want pictures (sent). They want more pictures (sent more). Now just ghosting me and I really believe they are trying to run the clock out and then say, "Sorry - it's been more than 30 days".

Sizing runs really small, and the "wide toe box" they talk about is not true and smaller than any other shoes I have purchased recently.

I'm updating my experience to 1 star. Regarding their response, it is a copy-and-paste response, and I have already contacted their customer support several times. The first response was a generic response and an incident tracking number. I've received NO OTHER RESPONSES to my inquiries.

This is a take their money and run company.

I bought the shoes and took one look at the lack of support and tried to return them which is proving extremely difficult. Avoid this vendor and their cheaply made product - stick with Hoka, Brooks, New Balance and other established brands.

yes, I wrote to your customer support email address and have yet to receive any real response other than to repost more pictures.

Hike Balance specifically advertises shoes with a wide toe box. The return process is impossible. There is no live person to speak to. The listed phone numbers are disconnected. The return shipment to China for a refund is $20.00 USPS.

Scam, ne pas faire confiance … de l’argent perdu , aucun service à la clientèle, m’ont envoyé la mauvaise pointure , ça a été un enfer d’avoir une adresse de retour , j’ai payer pour le retour et je n’ai plus de nouvelle même si le tracking m’indique qu’il ont reçu mon colis il y a plus d’un mois …
Vous verrez , on va sûrement me répondre de contacter support@hikebalance … je l’ai fais au moins 30 fois sans succès … un calvaire … évitez vous des problèmes… n’achetez pas

Product finally received but shoes to small, despite size ordered always the correct size I wear (W9/9.5). I reached out about returning product. I received a response with "a good offer." I wouldn't need to send the incorrect size of shoes back, could just keep them, IF I order the correct size for only $32 more dollars. I responded back that I do not want to do that and would like to return for a refund. I have not had a response back and I have tried to call the phone number listed multiple times, and at different times of the day, but my calls don't even ring. They go to a Verizon message that they cannot connect my call. I have gone on ahead and filed a charge with my bank to dispute the claim. I would encourage NO one to order from this website. Horrible customer service.

Do NOT deal with this company. Bad phone number on website and my return came back to me as undeliverable. The support email is rediculous.

Very poor quality and service. I waited more than two weeks before I recieved my shoes. Than, shoes were too narrow and too short. Shoes doesn't respected the standard sizes. Then I asked to get the address were to send back my shoes in order to exchange them. Instead, they suggested me to pay $35 more to get another pair of shoes and suggested me to keep the shoes that doesn't fit and that i already paid for. Very bad offer!
And another point to considerate: there is no arch support on those shoes or eather on the insole. Those are not giving any support for any kind of foot problem. This is very disappointed and closely look like they take advantage of their customers. On top of it, shoes look cheap (in plastic) and not professional at all.

Return policy is a joke. Multiple emails asking for pictures from different angles., even though I stated shoes were way too small to wear. It looks like they just try to wear you down in frustrations.

The shoes were too narrow and too short, in spite of their claim of a roomy toe box. The arch support was non-existent. The return policy is a joke and makes it impractical to return the shoes. I will give mine to a charity thrift shop.
