I’ve installed 5 sprinter kits now. I’m a good mechanic so they’re easy for me. Each job required enlarging front drop out with an angle grinder. One could use a file. I use electric assist mostly for hills and headwinds. I love how I can ride up the steep hill I live at the top of at the end of a ride. This is just another tool for using my car less!

To begin, the product is well-engineered, easy to install, and a lot of fun to use.

The Customer Service is top notch and they make the whole experience a breeze.

I've only taken out one day. I rode it until it ran out of juice. I was riding in the city, pretty much at top speed, with lots of stops and starts, keeping up with traffic, climbing grades, etc. Next thing for me do is to improve my use of the throttle, so I can extend the range.

I had a lot of issues with my bike but Hilltopper Staff were great in getting me what I needed, taking back items, working with me to get it right,

I installed a Hilltopper kit on my bakfiets (Dutch Cargo Bike) back in 2014 and got years of service from it. Battery got old and needed replaced so I ordered the Universal Replacement Battery. The conversion from the old battery setup to new took about 30 minutes and was super easy. The new battery also has more power for the old 24volt motor, so it is quite the upgrade.

I bought the Hilltopper Summit kit. The documention was not accurate and incomplete. The kit met my needs but not my expectations. The way to reset the trip counter is not obvious and their tech did not know the proper way to do it. There are several features that the display is capable of but not implemented. I expected more of their top of the line kit. The display was initially defective but their tech was good about sending another one. The throttle has a dead zone and it is difficult to control the power.

Sprinter kit: I can’t say enough good things about this company but first things first. The product itself to date has been remarkable. It’s been a year now and it’s still going strong. It gets me all over the city and I wonder how I ever got around without it. The customer service has been fantastic as well… on each occasion they’ve gotten back to me almost immediately. After a year I contacted the company to see if I could order an additional battery that I would be able plug in with the system I currently have so I would be able cover greater distances if the need arose because I didn’t see it as an option on the site itself. The customer service rep actually kept me in the loop with emails as she personally saw to its quality control tests and the hand delivering of it to her shipping department. That sort of commitment to excellence is a rare find but when experienced it isn’t something I believe should go unmentioned. I consider it a privilege to be able to leave such a positive review. I am very happy with ebike kit and the deal I got from the company. I wanted good, symple, not complicated and reliable ebike kit just plug and play and company just had ebike kit I want in addition, which is both nicely and aesthetically made. Speaking with the service team helped me get exactly what I was looking for.

The kit did not work after installation. I tried contacting Hilltopper and it was a week before they responded. Their response was check this check that which i did to no avail. I wanted to return the product and i got the runaround. I called the credit card that i used to purchase the kit with and they got my money refunded. Ihad to use my own money to return the product which i was promised would be refunded and after a month they still have not refunded my money.

Love the Sprinter because it's a simple throttle only. I had a pedal assist bike and the power delivery would lag or run on. The Sprinter gives me the exact power I want when I want it. The front hub means I can keep my light high end drive train, and the precise power delivery means clean shifts. I can switch back and forth from electric bike to regular bike quick and easy.

Good service, installation, and my modified electrified bike is a dream to ride. The motor is peppy. I thought the throttle would be a bother (no pedal assist) but since I use the motor judiciously, it is very simple and effective to use.

While installation was easy, I didn’t care for the way it operates. Motor is either off or full on. I would prefer a peddle assist motor

Battery works as advertised, however it did take 2+months for delivery.

I recently bought an upgrade kit for an older sprinter system. Ordering was easy and I received it promptly. Hilltopper was very helpful in answering questions that I had. Overall, very pleased with their service level.
