Hired.com - Moral of the Story & Lessons learned?
I invested considerable time creating and optimizing my profile utilizing GPT-4 (other sources), and waited three days for a response.
The email I received was courteous, though indicated there were no matching opportunities within the scope of my credentials, or to that effect. Furthermore, my profile will not be visible to potential employers.
Considering I have more than 20+ years experience in the IT/Telecom/Support Engineering fields, I am thoroughly disillusioned by Hired.com. No wonder their ‘What to expect and other’ online collateral reeks of needing C-level, $100K+, Upper Software Engineering & Managerial candidates whose sourcing revenues will fetch 5-digit fees or regenerative maintenance accruals.
The machine learning and AI algorithms deployed by Hired.com within the scope of their ability to scan candidate profiles and match to employer requirements also reeks of being restricted to an internal LAN, and does not crawl the Internet.
My error was not fully investigating the organization, ownership, funding, customer base and specific capabilities relative to my expertise. In addition, Hired.com competitors!!!
I suspect they comprehensively utilize AI-based ATS to pre-screen candidate profiles against the range of titles listed in online collateral before they ‘promote!’
Moral of the story and lesson learned?
Until I see a verified analysis of the elemental spectrum of Hired.com success and within which Industries and titles or domain, I’m calling it as I see it,
‘A Waste of Time!!!’

Hired is a curated marketplace which caters to the needs of its companies. As a result, some skill-sets are in demand while others are not. At this time, we do not see demand for IT on Hired. The platform is smooth…
The platform is smooth and I have been happy with the scheduling tools, specifically the calendar availability feature. It would be nice to know why companies might not be reaching out to me though. Like, is it a mismatch in expected compensation or due to remote work being preferred?

Using Hired was a really good experience
Hired was a really nice change of pace from other job search websites. The site guides you through the process, with tips, and really feels like it's 'on your side'. They check in as things (hopefully!) move along and even cheerlead a bit, which I liked. It's a really good site for getting exposure to employers that you know are actively looking, and a really pleasant process for your search.

Hired is timely
What made my experience great was the consistent follow up from Hired staff as well as the responsiveness of the company recruiters on Hired. Hired was the one space where I felt my applications weren't going into the void.

Needy Multiplied By Useless
Hired.com is by far the most needy and least productive job-matching service I've ever seen.
Despite constant messages that "employers on Hired are looking for people with your skills!" and despite the fact that I have a fairly impressive resume, I never received a SINGLE employer message on the platform.
Also fairly annoying is the need to constantly go into your profile and reactivate it, as your visibility to employers is shut down after 10 days of being promoted. This is clearly a dark pattern intended to keep you engaging with the platform over and over.

But, you are correct that after that time your profile switches back to private and you must resubmit it if you wish to go live again. Lots of really interesting companies have requested interviews via Hired, in exactly my target position and my preferred company cultures/size/etc.
I do wish there were a way to more easily sync my availability from my Google calendar. And some sort of reminder(email or text) that my availability schedule needs updating.

After creating a profile and uploading my resume on Hired, I received several interview requests from the companies directly and interviews went well.

Great UX for interview setups
The user flow of setting up an interview is great - setting up an availability calendar, reviewing and responding to requests for interviews, and scheduling meetings. I also think the employee profiles are pretty quick to set up and the assessments/badges are well thought out.

Superb platform to market your profile
Only in a few weeks after listing my profile in Hired, I got interview opportunities. The platform is solid though it requires a few improvements in usability.
