James was friendly and helpful as was his colleague we booked in with over the phone. They have great knowledge and advice on what we needed. We would recommend and we would use them again.

He came, he saw and he fitted a towbar….what’s not to like. Convenience of fitting at home, expert job at a decent price. And Maurice is a lovely friendly lad as well!

He came to fit the towbar but found it was the wrong fitting he rang round found the correct fitting and did the job in the time requested.
Highly recommend Hitched towbar.

Fitter was late arriving but I was advised he would still be coming and he worked till after 10pm to get it done.

The young man that came to fit the removeable towbar ,was great he did encounter some problems( every model of car must be different) but he persisted and sorted it out and did a great job .Thanks.Bobs mazda cx5 .

Price quoted was the same as many other companies but it could be done quicker - so i paid my £250 deposit and waited.

Initial fitting of towbar and electrics was done before i picked my caravan up. No issues, or so i thought. Day of van pick up from dealer, salesman "checked" my lights and, having lifted lots of money off me, said all was well and sent me on my way. I brought the van the short distance home.

Apparently, newer caravans use LED lights on indicators which require specific wiring looms to work properly. My van is a 2022 model and does indeed have LED lights all round.

Day of holiday comes - hooked up and set off on my way to caravan park - but..... things went wrong quickly - Indicators on the van not working correctly. Parked up and spent ages trying to solve the issue but had to give up and return home and call company. This was Monday. After long phone call, problem identified as the towbar wiring not compatible. Required a LED compatible replacement but that would only be available on the Friday. Holiday and deposit lost.

4.15pm on Friday, fitter turns up to correct problem. Fair play...how many companies would send a fitter so late on friday? The guy worked until 7 45 pm to correct the issue. Although the lighting and indicators now worked, there was no 12v feed to the van. Apparently, this functionality is an option on the new electrics and this wasn't present. This means that the van fridge and freezer isn't working whilst travelling. Not a disaster, but not ideal either.

Day after, found fuses and plastic covers left on car windscreen...no idea if they're surplus or should be included in fitting. I suppose time will tell on this bit!!

If your van is newish, be aware and check that towbar electrics can handle LEDs before agreeing a price.

A fully functioning 12v supply i believe to be standard with all other installations - I'll have to live without it despite having paid full price.

Update on the following working day....I was called at 8.30am to say the 12v problem would be sorted today and sure enough it was.

Unfortunate confusion over LEDs but in the end it's sorted.

Good to see that some companies actually care about having satisfied customers.

Further update 20th June....went to hook caravan up (first time since last fitter visit) and on checking lights and indicators, noticed that the caravan side lights not working....neither were the ones on the car. Yet another fitter visit (4th one) but still unresolved. I now can't go out in the car after dark!!! Let's see how/if this issue gets resolved!!

Update 23rd June....another visit from fitter who saw a blown fuse...replaced and everything working again. Hope the blown fuse was a one-off!!!

Tough installation for these guys but, importantly, they never gave up and sorted it in the end.

After shopping around for a new tow bar for my Nissan Juke, I decided to go with Hitched Towbars, and I'm so glad I did. I can't praise Kieran enough for his professional manner, offering a competitive quote, and emailing me the quote for consideration. As soon as I accepted the quote Kieran ordered the tow bar and electrics immediately. Within a few hours I had confirmation of delivery times. Very impressive. The next day James came to fit the tow bar. He was very polite, very knowledgeable and extremely professional. The tow bar was fitted within an hour and a half. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Highly professional, great communication throughout, competitive prices, and quality fitting with an extended warranty. Thanks Hitched Towbars.

I felt sorry for james the fitter, we found out after he had taken the bumper and bracket off there were a possible 2 bars for the model of my car, and the one he had was the wrong one. Shit happens.
He was so appologetic about it and we re arranged a new fitting. When he came back the bar was fitted in no time efficiently and professionally, I have no quarms in reccomending them to fit a bar for you, I've have even said I would advertise for them in the Post Office that I manage. Also thank you keiron for keeping me up to date on the times and dates of the fitting, also like to mention that their prices are very competitive
