Over HomeCooks
Geschreven door het bedrijf
HomeCooks is built around one simple idea: you shouldn’t have to choose between food that tastes amazing and food that’s good for you.
That’s why we work with independent chefs and food businesses from across the UK to create a huge variety of meals inspired by authentic recipes, cultures and cuisines. It means flavour is never an afterthought, and neither is nutrition.
The result is healthy food you genuinely look forward to. High-protein, nutritionally balanced meals made with quality ingredients you’d recognise and ready in minutes.
With hundreds of dishes to choose from, eating well is easier, more varied and a lot more enjoyable.

Generally love the meals
Generally love the meals but am anti 'greens' and just hate the 'greens' provided on some meals.

Hi Roger,
Thank you so much for the kind review! Fair on the greens too, at least the separate compartments let you leave them if they're not your thing.

Good choice of meals
Good choice of meals and they much different to supermarket bought ready meals. They taste more nutritious. Well packed food so the food is kept cool even if left for a while unboxed.

My first experience of ordering 6…
My first experience of ordering 6 healthy meals was excellent. Although the courier left the package at the wrong door. Have notified the company & hopefully will not happen again.
Overall an excellent menu all in separate compartments.
I will be ordering again.
Thank you.

Good food
Great flavours, balanced meals. Just a problem with the lids as they are not airtight so leak if you put them on their side.

On the lids, fair point and honest feedback, we're actively looking at how to improve tray sealing across our chef network.

Convenience and flavour!
I decided to go with homecooks after reading other reviews. I wanted to have calorie counted meals that I could just heat up after work so it was easier to lose weight and stay consistent, as the time it takes to go to the shops, weighing individual food and scanning it seemed to take so long that I’d end up snacking and giving up counting the calories. I wanted meals that would actually taste home made and not combined ready meals from the shops that tasted all the same and were mushy. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised that each meal is actually really flavoursome and there is good range of choices. I like the separated compartments in the tray so you can taste the different flavours/sides. It’s also very easy to heat up as they all cook at the same time no matter which ones you choose which is great. I would recommend the sauce based recipes they seem to be the most tasty ones. I’ve only had one which was just a chicken that was a bit on the dry side. I’ve ordered 12 on my first week and will be ordering from homecooks again for a second week.

Much better than other meal services
Three meals in on my first week and all have been lovely and very filling. Hoping the rest are just as nice. They have certainly been much nicer than other meal services I have tried.

Some meals good, others not. Portions not enough
Great value for the first box discounted but not sure they're worth full price. Good sized, fresh and convenient and sent with packaging to keep it cool. Some meals tasty like chicken tikka and tofu satay but some like lasagne were a bit bland. Partner who is a big eater was adding food to his boxes as portions weren't enough.
