The food is genuinely tasty and prepared by local chefs rather than a big central factory. Good portions too. For example ths week i enjoyed the chicken tikka masala , rice and veg which had just the... Toon meer

Over HomeCooks
Geschreven door het bedrijf
HomeCooks is built around one simple idea: you shouldn’t have to choose between food that tastes amazing and food that’s good for you.
That’s why we work with independent chefs and food businesses from across the UK to create a huge variety of meals inspired by authentic recipes, cultures and cuisines. It means flavour is never an afterthought, and neither is nutrition.
The result is healthy food you genuinely look forward to. High-protein, nutritionally balanced meals made with quality ingredients you’d recognise and ready in minutes.
With hundreds of dishes to choose from, eating well is easier, more varied and a lot more enjoyable.

Home Cooks has been a great find
Home Cooks has been a great find. The food is genuinely tasty, not the bland reheated stuff you get from most meal delivery services, and the value is hard to beat for what you get.
The range is the standout. Curries, Thai, Italian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, proper British classics. If you get bored eating the same thing every week, this solves it.
Cooking is straightforward. Most dishes are oven or hob from frozen with clear instructions, so there is no prep and no mess.
The macros and calories are listed for every dish, which makes tracking simple. No guessing, no weighing, no logging individual ingredients. Just scan the numbers into your tracker and you are done.
Highly recommended if you want varied, decent food without the hassle and want to stay on top of your intake

I love being able to have healthy…
I love being able to have healthy dishes delivered and the whole experience of being with HomeCooks, but I must confess I do find some of the green vegetables difficult to enjoy and also the rice tends to be hard, so I try to avoid dishes which include rice, or else simply throw out the rice and eat the rest of the meal, which is fine. Overall, I feel happy with the experience and I always look forward to the meals you offer and the ones which I choose. So thanks HomeCooks for everything and I am indeed very grateful to you all.

Hi Tazim,
Thank you so much for the lovely review, always a pleasure hearing from you.
Honest and fair feedback on the rice and greens, I'll pass both back to the chefs. On the rice specifically, a small splash of water added before reheating can help soften it, worth a try next time.
Thanks for being part of HomeCooks!

Simple procedure
Simple procedure, however having been used to selecting recipe boxes based on the number of people/days as with other companies, I was looking for a similar input here. Instead I now realise that family members can each choose their own meal.

Hi,
Thank you for the honest review, glad it made sense in the end. Fair point on the ordering flow being different from meal kit companies, our meals are individual portions rather than recipe kits, which does take a moment to click. Really appreciate the feedback.
