Hostex is a lightweight champion
Hostex has been great so far. We were using Hospitable previously and started looking for another PMS because they didn’t have a direct integration with Trip.com. Hostex is very easy to navigate. It doesn’t have so many features but everything works well and is intuitive to use. The lower price means we can also afford PriceLabs and the combined cost is still slightly lower than our previous PMS subscription alone. I would recommend it for any company managing 1-50 listings.

Left Hospitable To Go To Hostex
I was a long time subscriber to Hospitable until the company prioritized plugins and new features over customer support. Once I realized that I began looking for a new PMS. I looked at most of the name software vendors like HostAway and Guesty and found that they didn't offer any serious differences between what they have and what Hospitable was offering. The only difference was that they were charging almost double the amount of money for it. I came across a post on Reddit, telling owners about Hostex, and I decided to give it a chance. Is it a perfect system? No. Then again, none of them are. It's actually much better than what Hospitable was when I first started using it. I liked the direction that they were going then, and I liked the direction that Hostex is going in now. Their interface is clean and easy to use. They do actually have customer support that gets back to you fairly quickly and their pricing is as good as any other property management software out there. They could use more integration with other platforms that are smaller than Airbnb, VRBO, and booking and they could benefit from a dedicated connection to VRBO. Beyond that, this offers me everything that I got from Hospitable plus support, and at about half the price that I was paying.I definitely plan on sticking with Hostex to see where it goes in the future.

Hostex are one of the best channel manager I've used, it has a lot of very useful features and I haven't found an error when using it compared to other channel manager, hopefully it will keep this consistency and improved in the future.

A very capable channel manager at a reasonable price
I’ve used several channel managers over the years, including Smoobu and Hospitable. Both worked reasonably well, but I eventually ran into problems connecting with VRBO — something that seems to be an issue for quite a few channel managers.
I moved to Hostex because I don’t need a lot of the advanced features offered by the many high-end, high-cost products. What I mainly need is for Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com to stay synchronised for availability, minimum nights and pricing, along with a direct booking website that is simple and easy for guests to navigate.
Hostex has done exactly what I need. I’ve found the Chrome extension they use for the VRBO connection works well and reliably. Hopefully an API connection with VRBO may come in the future, but for now I’m very happy with how it works.
The support has also been extremely good. The AI help is immediate and has answered many of my questions straight away. When something needs a human response, I’ve found the support team gets back very quickly with a detailed and clear answer rather than just a generic response.
Having trialled Hostex and become confident that it does what I need, I’ve now paid for a one-year subscription.
I think Hostex is a strong contender in the part of the market where many hosts actually sit. There are multiple companies competing at the so-called high end, with very similar products, but they can become very expensive if you have multiple properties or multiple configurations of the same properties.
I think Hostex offers very reasonable pricing for what it provides. For my requirements, it does the important things well without paying for a lot of functionality I’m unlikely to use.
Overall, I’m very happy with the move to Hostex so far and look forward to seeing how the product develops.

Good and Bad
The pricing is great. It is very difficult to set up and learn. Most of the customer service people are very helpful but a few speak to you sometimes in terminology and explanations that are way "over your head". My biggest complaint is there is no way to track how many people are actually looking at your direct booking site on Google Vacation and also no data for how many actual bookings, if any, are placed thru your direct booking site so without this data is hard to know if you are wasting money on the property management software- maybe that is by design?

For website performance, Hostex provides the direct booking website builder, while detailed website analytics such as visitor traffic, SEO performance, and search visibility are typically measured through specialized tools such as Google Analytics and Ahrefs. Hostex is not intended to replace those dedicated analytics platforms.
As for bookings through your direct booking site, you can easily filter and view those reservations in the Reservations section of Hostex. We hope this helps you track your direct booking activity and evaluate the value of your website more effectively.

Very good Software. Everything works good. Synchronisation with airbnb and booking is nearly instant. I've tried guesty, smoobu, beds24 and lodgify the last weeks. Only Smoobu worked relatively well, but here you get more features—such as smart lock integration—for a significantly lower price. The support is also excellent; they immediately resolved a minor issue I had. Great stuff! VillaMadeira

Great tool for VR Marketing
Great tool in general; it works as a great and affordable alternative to other VR tools. It even excels in the accesibility and the all-included pricing that they offer. Great for growing vacational rental agencies who are starting out to grow with the tool; there's no need to leave here into other similar tools because they offer the same features with a clean and great UX.

Hostex is easy to use and understand and it merge with booking.com so nicely, the team is answering our questions in a good manner.
The program needs to be updated continually to meet the standards of other booking sites, as it lack picture tag or description, general site tag so you can be found on search engines and AI quickly, some features in my villa is a viable for a certain period due to weather so I can't show this one to costumers directly, so I have to put it in the description, I am still working around with the program and finished almost 90% from the work.
