Hostex Provides A Solid Service
Hostex provides a good rental management platform. They have good customer support and a solid product. There are a few challenges like VRBO changing their login method so I have to keep Hostex and VRBO open in a browser to maintain the connection. Also I'm still working to get the self-hosting site up and running, but overall it's been a good experience.

Hostex is great value for money
Hostex is great value for money, easy to use and custumer service answers super quickly everytime I have a question.
My only comment is the reporting & metrics isn't very easy to read and is lacking a few tools.

The makers of Hostex clearly put a lot of effort into their UI/UX. Very quick, helpful and knowledgeable customer support. The PMS does everything I need. Only thing missing for me personally is the ability to create buffer days for booking platforms that don’t natively support this in their API (such as booking.com). Would be great if this could be supported in the future - Hostex promised to look into that. Overall very good value for money.

Overall
Overall, we are very satisfied with this management platform. The information is clear, the design is simple, and the workflow is generally intuitive. One of the best new features is the Host GPT, which adds real value and makes daily operations easier.
That said, there are a few areas where improvements would make the experience even better. On mobile, tasks could be more visible in the calendar view. The current UI can be hard to navigate at times and occasionally feels laggy. When adding photos, the upload does not always register properly, which can be frustrating.
Regarding Host GPT, it would be amazing if there were more customization options. For example, being able to set a formal message style with proper spacing and an automatic closing such as “Best regards” would be extremely useful for automated tasks.
Another important improvement would be task scheduling flexibility. Currently, tasks can only be set for check-in day, check-out day, or before check-in. It would be very helpful to allow tasks to be created during the guest’s stay, for example for collecting city tax or handling mid-stay duties.
Overall, it’s a strong platform with great potential, and with these refinements, it could become even better.

I have used several different PMS tools with various clients and this is up there with some of the best It is easy to get started but what sets it apart is the support. The chat support is always there when I need it and the team are so helpful. For the price it is excellent value

Excellent Service from friendly people
We have been using Hostex for a few weeks now, to manage our holiday lets and this is the first PMS we have tried. We are very impressed at the value for money Hostex provides and it is relatively intuitive and even if we get stuck setting something up, their online help is instant and they always have the answers. I truly recommend Hostex to anyone looking for a PMS - it integrates well with all the platforms and third parties and the support is exceptional - I just hope it stays this way!

The pricing is fair for the features offered, which is extensive for a PMS at this cost tier. I am looking forward to improvement on some of the current offerings, as there are a few limitations to the current features that limit their use in ways that are just short of what I'm personally looking for, but again, the price is fair for the generous features included so I have remained loyal in hopes for future improvements and additions, since currently theres not much room for customization or workarounds.
