I ordered a domain, I made the mistake of ordering two and needed help with cancelling one. They were .ie domain names. I received stellar service, refund for the domain I didn’t want and successfully registered the .ie I wanted. Thanks Hosting Ireland.

I have been a customer of Hosting Ireland for nearly ten years. Sadly Hosting Ireland is going down the pan. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone given their customer service and fact you can't get hold of anyone after 5.30pm on Friday afternoon on their over the phone support.

I have been with Hosting Ireland for many years, and was always delighted with their service, friendly and supportive technicians, but now I am beginning to wonder…

I had an unfortunate experience with them recently, which took several days to respond to and rectify. I was surprised at lack of management action earlier, but it was eventually resolved because of my persistence.

I had doubts some time ago when I heard that the company had been taken over by ‘Dada’ - a company I had poor experience with before, but I kept an open mind.

Since my recent experience, I have looked around and realise that I can get better deals with more services included elsewhere. Maybe it’s time to move on?

The service itself is excellent and the support staff are brilliant within their roles - we couldn’t recommend Hosting Ireland enough.

Purchased a domain with web hosting ireland and they would not fix the security issues that kept popping up as a warning not to proceed to the site- even after many emails sent. I explained this was going to drive traffic away from the site and looks really bad. They acted like they could do nothing. Ive never had this issue before with any other hosting service i have used. So if you are considering just buying a domain alone - i would look to other well known hosts such as ionos or godaddy.

Prompt, clear, and helpful replies to technical problems.
A wide range of solutions. Very clear interfaces. I've been with them about 18 years, Never had a quibble.

I have had bad experiences with several web hosting companies - if you read my other reviews you can see - but it has been a pleasure to deal with Hosting Ireland - I had a problem so I sent support an email and it was sorted out quickly and painlessly - wish they were all like this!

Terrible communication, negligent customer support and took money from my account, for an annual SSL renewal service (that's free elsewhere!), when I did not have the original and had only been operating a few weeks. There's a lot more issues and I could elaborate on each point here - but my only advice, I'm sharing widely, is to avoid this hosting company at all costs.

Very predatory pricing system, and difficult to cancel.

Get you in with cheap offer then hike prices and make it hard to change password or cancel.

The price is okay, but they don't mention the add-ons, so you end up paying more. My page email is through a different website, and the templates are limited and less customizable compared to other companies.
The good thing is that the customer service is good, they always help me and it's an Irish company.

Having been using them a long time. Have never had any problem or reason to go elsewhere.

Great company very supportive and helped with all my issues. I was worried going with a company other than google or square space but hosting Ireland exceeded my expectations. Great support team walked me step by step through everything.

I always try my best to stick with Irish businesses but sadly this one was of poor use to me. Very simple reasons. When I ran into issues that needed resolving, there was no customer support on weekends for non-priority, ordinary people like myself. Secondly, also to my shock, there was no 24/7 customer support. If those two existed, I wouldn't have minded as much paying their more (already) pricy charges for available packages.

How a hosting company decides to go home on the weekend, leaving many people in trouble for two days, is mindboggling! How a hosting company decides not to operate a 24-hour help service, is also shocking in these days of many hackers and spammers operating! I would LOVE to go with this company, but they haven't got what's more needed every day, all week, the basic of help services available. Hackers don't take weekends off. HostingIreland sadly does - so the vast majority of ordinary users are totally screwed for two days before they can even get a reply for urgent help needed. That's no way to run any business, especially an internet related one.

What's not to like? Friendly, efficient, competitive and prompt service, perfect!

Been with them 3 years hosting 20 plus websites. Best customer service I've ever encountered in any business. To add: the 3, 1 star reviews below are posted immatureley and without understanding to how a website works. One is angry about having to add plugins, this is laughable because to a Web designer the ability to add more plug ins via WordPress is much more beneficial, and can increase a companys profit massively much better than simple yet useless page builder. I believe they should be 5 stars. My company is Meep Marketing and we build websites etc just to show I'm for real and not part of this company. Another review is about being fobbed off by sales and another calling them jerks.. don't listen to these 2 reviews as the people the work at hosting ireland are patient and know what they are at. Go with Hosting Ireland to get help by real people. They won't put you wrong. @trustpilot can you do something about stupid reviews that can possibly damage this company's rep.

Good value for money. Although I have only a basic shared hosting service, the support is rapid and to the point. I came from hosting my own LAMP server, and I find even the basic options from "Hosting Ireland" fully adequate for a simple site.

I have been using Hosting Ireland for many years and find their service excellent. The team members are really helpful and go beyond the call of duty when it comes to easing the stress of their almost web-illiterate client. I highly recommend this company.

used to be good years ago, but the service quality has gone down to unacceptable level, while the prices have gone up.
I'm moving on, it's become a rip off
Still ok for registering .ie domain names, I guess
