SILENT WINDOWS by Hugo Carter Reviews

Hugo Carter replaced 9 sash windows in our house. Very high quality materials, construction, finish and service. Given the improvement the windows bring to security, sound and heat transfer, they have been possibly the best investment in a refurbished project.

Our property is situated under the Heathrow arrivals flight path within a conservation area. Hugo Carter replaced seven of our large old draughty single glazed wooden sash windows with like for like noise reduction double glazed wooden sash windows. After receiving planning approval from the council we requested quotes from several suppliers and engaged Hugo Carter based on their specialism in wooden sash windows, knowledge of noise reduction and fair price (not the cheapest but also not the most expensive quote).
A team of two professionals (plus one supervisor) installed the seven windows over a nine day period. They were very polite, have very high attention to detail and are true specialists in what they do.
Installation of windows creates dust (more than we expected) but the guys did a great job in trying to keep the flat as clean as possible and the cleaning team at the end of the installation process did magic too. We chose for the "premium installation" as we wanted a one stop shop solution which worked out well. All we needed to do is supply paint for the interior walls.
The new windows look beautiful, we notice a big reduction of the noise and the insulation of the double glazing makes the flat much more comfortable.
We can highly recommend Hugo Carter!

Great service, great quality! I really recommend them, very professional too.

Contacted by phone Hugo Carter promptly sent a very competent specialist to look at my problem (very poor acoustic and thermal insulation provided by tripled glazed sash windows in bedrooms of a 3rd floor flat overlooking the High Street in a North London borough).

This specialist made a very comprehensive recommendation for the installation of secondary windows for a potential noise reduction of >50dB.

The "silent" windows were installed (on schedule) by excellent professionals and completely mute all noise coming from the outside....truly amazing!

I will definitely recommend Hugo Carter to family, friends and neighbours.

We recently bought a house in Battersea under the fly path to Heathrow. The noise some days was unbearable. We changed our windows to Hugo Carter's and the transformation has been incredible! We know they are expensive but they are worth every penny. The Hugo Carter team is very nice, responsive and incredibly efficient. We have already recommended them to our neighbours!

I had Hugo Carter to replace 2 windows in my bedrooms. Those are on the street side in London above a busy street. After a couple of month, I must say I am very happy with the windows as they are delivering all the benefits asked. Noise level has been significantly decreased, and the thermal insulation has been drastically improved.

I am glad I followed Jacob advices on what to choose. If any improvement could be asked, the documentation wasn't fully clear on what the end product would be.

Hugo Carter were efficient and friendly from start to finish. The windows were well installed with no mess. They look good and have a nice smooth action. The room is now much quieter than before.

I booked Hugo Carter to replace some windows for my property outside London. The whole process was excellent. They were respectful, polite, efficient and careful throughout the engagement. The noise reduction is amazing - better than I had expected. They came exactly when they said they would, they finished exactly when they said they would and afterwards you wouldn't even know they had been in the house, it was so clean.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The Company offer equal commitment to quality of build and customer service

Last year we purchased a flat in a busy street in East London that suffers from both traffic noise and noise from crowds of people drinking in the evenings and at weekends. We got all the exterior windows and loading doors replaced (6 windows, 2 double doors), which was not a straightforward job given their size (each 2m wide by nearly 3m in height). This was especially challenging given that we are in a conservation area (with some quite pedantic architect neighbours) and each window/door had to be templated precisely from the existing ones.

The survey process was smooth, and a they even did a follow up final survey to ensure the window and door templates had all the quirks of the originals. The installation process was smooth, the installment happened one window at a time so the building was always left weatherproof, and while we were living there. The fitters were very tidy, and hoovered up all the dust and removed any rubble at the end of every day.

The products themselves are excellent, they have been an absolute transformation to the quality of life in the flat. Now the traffic noise is all but gone, and the shouts of loud revellers and significantly dampened. They are easy to open, are indistinguishable from the originals from the outside, and have made a massive difference to the heat retention in the property. All around a really great service, with really friendly customer relations to match.

We used Hugo Carter to replace two windows in our bedroom with their silent sash windows. The windows are excellent and we have noticed a real improvement in the quality of our sleep. Our flat is close to the Heathrow flight path and the plane noise had previously been a real issue. We have been very happy with the windows and I can also commend Hugo Carter on the ease with which they conducted the installation work as well as the quality of their customer service.

Conscientious, technically-aware team who strive to produce the best quality products at realistic prices: sash windows, glass roof lights, metal-frame glass installations, timber & metal bi-folding doors, walk on glass, and anything else the client might want. They understand the importance of good attention to detail and good client relationships. And they like a challenge!

Very professional service. The product is very effective and we are very pleased with the noise reduction achieved with the new windows. They also look great and very fitting with all the work we have had done on our house

I'm living in a house that is based on a busy road, the noise was particularly bad in the evenings and nighttime which mainly affected the sleep of my two young children whose room is based at the front of the house, causing them to wake up and lose sleep nearly everynight. We came across secondary glazing as an option but didn't like the look of it. We then searched again and came across hugo carter's noise reduction windows, which just replaced our window with just one lovely timber framed window. The windows work very well and my kids aren't losing sleep anymore and neither am i!
