We have found Hutchins Law to be an excellent choice for conducting the conveyancing on the sale of our property. We would especially like to thank our solicitor Ivory Jimmy, who throughout the entire process was very professional and no-nonsense, especially as the buyer’s solicitor proved to be quite difficult at times. With her expert knowledge and experience with this type of property, the matter was brought to a timely and successful completion. We have no hesitation in employing Ivory Jimmy’s services again and would highly recommend her.

The experience we’ve had with Hutchins has been worse than we thought possible. Almost 4 years after completion and the title is still not in our name. Their conveyancing team are negligent and are clearly incapable of dealing with anything other than the most basic of purchases. We are now in a position where we are wanting to sell, but are unable to due to Hutchins failings.
We purchased the property as a freehold but the previous owners purchased as a shared ownership - meaning there was both a leasehold and a freehold title. The “conveyance solicitor” was aware of this, but only transferred the leasehold to our name, not even acknowledging the freehold title. I was looking on land registry around 8 months after we moved in and noticed the error.
We contacted Hutchins and were informed that they’d missed the freehold title but that both should have been transferred and then the two merged into a single title. We moved in, in March 2022 and Hutchins have still not resolved this. They have made many excuses, blaming third parties and at one point even telling us we owe them more money to get it sorted.
They ignore us when we contact them for updates and it takes days, sometimes weeks of chasing them to get any feedback. I would not recommend.

Deniz was so considerate and kept great communication throughout. He explained things very clearly in an easy to understand way. I was originally with another solicitor but they were shut down and Deniz was so understanding and really helped put my mind at rest. I would highly recommend using his services and will definitely go back to him should I need anything else in the future.

My experience with him and Hutchins & Co Solicitors was first-rate, and I am extremely grateful for his outstanding work.

I had a challenging experience with Hutchins & Co during a standard conveyancing process. While the transaction was eventually completed, the journey was far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been.

Communication was a persistent issue. Despite assurances, I rarely received callbacks and had to follow up repeatedly - easily more than 20 times over the entire process. On certain days, phone calls weren’t answered at all, which made it feel as though no one was actually present in the office. The solicitor was usually unavailable to speak directly, and assistants who took messages rarely followed up.

Multiple tasks could have been handled better and faster. The delays stretched the process far longer than expected. Proactivity was noticeably lacking - progress only happened when I chased, rather than the firm taking an initiative. They did not show any urgency unless we explicitly mentioned a deadline. We had to ask for help before it was offered, which could have been managed more thoughtfully.

At one point, the solicitor mentioned personal life issues that were affecting their availability. While I empathise with individual circumstances, these should not have impacted the professional handling of our case.

After completion, I was contacted by the managing agent of the flat requesting maintenance and ground rent payments - payments I had already made to Hutchins & Co. They have not yet transferred the funds, even after 17 days past the completion date and being assured that it will be done soon after speaking to a lady at the firm, which has led to an embarrassing situation for us with management.

Another recurring frustration was the solicitor claiming not to have received emails from the seller’s solicitor or their agents - even though I was receiving copies of those emails myself. Hutchins & Co’s own emails were reaching other parties without issue, so either their email system needs urgent improvement or internal communication protocols require review.

Throughout, I found myself having to make constant calls and send emails just to keep things moving. If you have the time and energy for ongoing follow-ups, Hutchins & Co might be manageable. Personally, I wouldn’t use them again, but I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their systems, responsiveness, and client care.

All good. My 1st experience purchasing a property. There were so many issues at the sellers end of the process, but Salem kept me informed and as the sale came to a conclusion everything was handled smoothly and efficiently.

Once again Ahmet has acted on my behalf on a purchase and delivered with excellence. Not a single complaint or fault, always prompt and always acts in my best interest regardless of what I ask. Can't be happier. Highly recommend.

Started the sale process with Carlotta, but we were moved to Dilan( no explanation, which should have been given). However Dilan did get the sale over the line with not too many issues. Dilan always took our call or called back. One male ( didn’t give his name) on reception could use a customer service course. Back to Dilan she was always polite patient and helpful so full marks Dilan.

Had a great experience with Dilan. Kept on top of things and made sure the sale went through after dealing with various queries from the buyer's side. Got the job done smothly and house sold, so can't ask for anything more!

Purchased house summer 2025. Great communication with paralegals, solicitors had good communication towards the end of the process. Easy mechanism in place for providing and collating information, Managed to keep to deadline for completion. Reasonable pricing. Would use again in the future, thanks.

Had a horrible experience. Spoken to like dirt. Paid money, had no response and dared to question them.
Zero customer service. Need to get the very basics right which they have not. Ended up going elsewhere
