This course has taught me more than any youtube video I have ever watched in my life about learning. Every university should implement these systems and make it mandatory to buy this course before entering university or while doing so

I appreciate how empathetic Dr.Sung is.
Although he is already a learning expert, he still relates to the feelings of others whenever there are different problems from learners. It makes me feel that we are all friends together facing the problems on the other side. I also like the vivid examples Dr.Sung provides that support the theory very well.

I've never seen a program or anything that wants to help you this badly even after you complete the course. Great people, very helpful community, and life-altering content!

I’ve learned more that’s changed how I study and prepare to study in the first 5 lessons than I thought I’d learn in the first few months. Love this course so far and looking forward to moving further through.

It's not a course that you can just listen to every now and then or while driving and get the great results that you want, though. You will need to set aside time to properly learn and then practice the techniques. So if life is particularly busy at the moment, consider waiting until things settle down before signing up.

Update 14Sep2024: having had a meeting now with two of the main leadership of ICS, I can now say that I'm exceptionally impressed with this company, its leadership, and their commitment to grow and learn from past experiences and support and look after their customers/students. They were incredibly understanding and very apologetic that this had happened to me, and wanted my input on anything that I thought could ensure that something like this doesn't occur in the future. They've also already starting implementing changes to that end.

I can now say that not only is the course content incredible, but so are the leadership team, their conflict resolution pathways, and the way they want to run their company.

If anyone finds themselves in a similar position where you feel like you haven't received the help or understanding that you could have been, please request that your issue is escalated so that you can have a discussion with someone else in case the information you've been provided was outside the expectations of company policy.

Update 03Sep2024: Since updating my review recently, the leadership at I Can Study have reached out to me to discuss my experience. They have been incredibly understanding and compassionate, and have advised me that my experience and interaction with their team member was not conducted per company processes and expectations.

I will be having a meeting with them to discuss my experience and how they can help. Based on this, I have increased by rating to 4/5, because the way they have handled this so far has been excellent. I will add an update after my meeting with them for complete transparency, and really hope that I can increase my rating to 5/5.

Update Aug2024: unfortunately, later in the year my chronic illness came back. While I still think highly of the content, ICS’ limited support, policies and understanding around difficult situations has really dimmed my experience. Yes, I read and understood the terms and conditions, but no one has a crystal ball to foresee what the future will bring. Be aware that if something happens that affects your ability to study, the amount of time you can “suspend” or “hold” the program is limited. Yes, for most people a few months is enough, unfortunately for me it’s not. ICS’ limited compassion and rigidity were disappointing (especially given the owner’s previous profession). I accept it because it was part of the terms and conditions, but buyer beware.

This is definitely the best program for learning.

- can't get feedback in a timely matter it takes weeks even months to get feedback on my work, self troubleshooting & diagnosis is important with kolbs and other stuff though but 80% of the value of this course is in the feedback while the 20% is in the irritating and unbrowsable resources & youtube videos in the course. so not getting feedback its almost a waste of money

Cont: 1) yea as i said in my review takes too long to get any feedback on discord and as we get more members this gets worse , even after pinging coaches

2) yea due to my schedule i cant attend most office hours and the ones i attend i am always pushed back to ask in the next office hours

3) those articles are extremely brief , clarify nothing and almost impossible to browse through that's why people ask on discord

4) Expert feedback cost 20$ I've already spent too much buying the course so with its ever increasing price tag to make it look like am getting a good deal on my current subscription price i have to pay every year. i refuse to spend anymore money on this.

Personal takeaways & experience from the course

- This course is extremely designed for you to spend the longest amount of time completing it which feeds into their subscription model, through time-locked modules, modules, and more.
- This course does not favor bad learners since it would take them longer to learn the skills they would spend more time in the course feeding into their subscription model, compared to people who are fast adopters of skills/ learning and could possibly finish this in a year and no longer need to keep subscribing
- This course gets worse as more members join it: since you are competing with other people when trying to get feedback on your work and keep improving the skill you are learning, more people joining mean fewer people available to help you and rate coaches are being hired is not beating the rate members are joining
- Gatekeeping by “some” core members (throughout your time here you will learn about new skills in the newer module but are continuously pushed away whenever you ask what it is , core members will get information about new changes in the course and start shoving in your faces but never tell you what it is.
- Justin Song is a Businessman: his main focus isn’t on the course it's on getting more members and more members = $**PROFIT!!,** we luckily hear from him once a month through a live clinic where he rant about a topic neglecting what the majority wants, and then from there it back to work on his funnels: **YOUTUBE**
- joining this course gives you no access to Justin: its all automated u learn it all through recorded video, and paid tutors ( people who finished the course and getting paid by Justin) , am sure Justin can leave for a year and the course can run by itself with how he set up
- Discipline is required to get through the course | but if you already have discipline and already do well in school this course will not make you a better learner, All the information on learning is on YouTube, and this course lacked the depth I desired. even some yt vids he shares are better than the videos in the course
- **Do not join the Free Discord:** it's also a **funnel** to make people jealous of random achievements of some course members and entice you to pay. (that's how i was influenced and you're not getting any answers to your question since gatekeeping is enforced there (it's a rule not to share stuff). **FOMO I’d advise you to leave if you are in the Free discord.**
- Other funnels to be careful of within the course to make you stay longer:
- be a coremember an help others for an **undisclosed** discount to your subcription.
- finish the course “to be a coach and get paid to help others = designed in a way to take 3 years🔁 )

Although it took a little bit of time to get the expert feedback but the review was really beneficial it provided me lot of points that I can act upon and experiment with to improve on the technique. It has also reduced my anxiety related to the technique.

Seeing how the techniques are done in real-time and realizing weak points or strengths will affect how you approach your learning and implement the principles of the iCanStudy program.
Since a big part of the program is feedback and the back-and-forth between members, something like a live clinic that reinforces that is priceless.

This course is very challenging. At the begging I felt like I was making no progress whatsoever and that this course was a waste of my money, but them I kept trying my best, because I was already failing at University anyways. As the time went by, the results started slowly showing up (it is still not that great, because I have not progressed much into the course as I know that my techniques needed to be refined). I have been doing it for the past 6months, and only now I have seen some substantial improvement in my memory and understanding capability. So it does work, but very slowly (specially if you are someone like me, who have always struggled to learn anything, you will have a challenging time trying to learn the techniques). The reason I have not dropped out of Uni is because this course have truly given me hops of being and doing better than I have ever been able to. If you find yourself in the same situation as me, do this course thinking about the long term, not the short term.

I paid for almost a year of I Can Study.

Pro's. Lots of good content. And it was well organized. Justin Sung knows his material.

Con's. Justin just doesn't know how to run a business.

First you could pause your subscription, then you couldn't for some reason (it wasn't for student benefit, pretty sure about that)

They force you to go through the material in the way they want you to. Ironically, you are taught to get an overview of the material when you study, and you can't do that with I Can Study. Go figure.

Then they changed the pricing. From monthly or 4 pay now to annual, but if you complain, you can get a coupon to go back on month to month?

Final straw for me was they moved to a new platform and in doing so, lost all my work up to that point. Support suggested I just click through a million screens and quizzes again to get back to where I was. Yah, sure thing, just what I wanted to do was click buttons for 6 hours. No thanks.

I have no doubt that the material is good, but the method of delivery was all over the place and I finally got so frustrated i just said forget it.

I wish I could get my money back, but I can't...so I hope I can help someone else save theirs.

I spent 1 year into this course.
Here is my suggetion on if you should enroll in it.
Before I joined the course, I was really struggling with learning, I felt like I wasn't able to process much things in my mind.
I had bad grades, spent lots of time studying! As many others, I wanted to be successful, not just in school, but in life.
Eventually I stummbled across justin's
youtube.
And boy, that helped me a lot.
Really it relieved the pain from not being able to process properly.
So it got me to trust justin's course, and indeed, that experience was, a nightmare.

It was helpful in the start.
But why did I prioritized it more than othwr things in life that improve me?

This course left me confused with myself and my brain.
I trusted this course, gave it my best, persevered with it daily a few hours a day, everyday.
What did I got from it?
Too little.

They tell you to change your brain,
But boy, if you end up failing, you are gonna get your brain messed up with so many unworking thinking habits, that is just not worth it.

So there is a risk here, you see, if you fail you will fail very badly.

This course can sometimes feel like a scam.
It does, for some, and it doesn't for others.
For me it felt like what they are teaching does work. But the way they teach, thw way they guide, the way they thing you should get it, just didn't work.

From my long experience, I beliwve this course is not worth it, or worth it for those people:

-people who really struggle with learning in a mediocre level, should take this course, it does help in some way afterall.

-people who are ok with learning and want to improve it, should avoid this course most of the time, and instead just go and experience life and get from there the insights. Unless they want to be a learning teacher or someone who read books more than people who execute what they learned.(Academicians or something simmilar)
Or someone who is working with systems (engineering, computers etc)

-people who are already good with learning
... there is no reason, I believe to join this course. Unless you want to waste your time, or really want to teach studing skills, or to be an academicians.

The real learning is through life experience, this course is good for making you a good student. But good students aren't necessarily good in living life (whether it means being at the top of the company, just living for fun, or inovating extraordinary things)

Learning skills are indeed important, but this course doesn't teach them in a way that is useful in life except school or theoretical learning.

Anyway, this is only my perspective on it.
Some of it might be a little biased, but I do tell you that this is what I truly saw in the Icanstudy program. Through the first stages atleast

Anyway take this course with a grain of salt with great causion.

Legendary; I have never gone through anything like it in my entire life. This course essentially guides you to become your best self, not only when it comes to learning, but practically any other aspect of your life that you can think of.
I'm around halfway through the course and not going to lie it has been bumpy here and there, especially since this course goes against many things that the people around you might say about learning or productivity in general. Sometimes I have felt disheartened from the lack of outside encouragement from my high school to facilitate the execution of these skills -- after learning the intermediate and beginner theories for effective learning and productivity and practicing it, this course has changed my entire perspective when it comes to the education system.
I honestly feel that I have been more equipped by this course for life then anything I have ever been taught hands down.
My mom thinks this course is basically a scam. If I were a fully independent adult, I'd be willing to pay SOOOO much more if I knew how much of a positive impact it would have on my life -- that's how valuable I found it to be. The outcomes that you will receive from actually following the guidelines and guidance of the course FAR outweigh the price it takes to enroll. The amount of fulfillment and joy from executing the skills shown in this course has brought me is immense. I feel empowered to tackle my challenges. I feel passion when learning.

Don't get me wrong, I still have a long way to go and have lots of improvement left. I'm excited for what's to come as I continue to progress in this course. The journey has been gradual, sometimes painful here and there, but overall possibly the most meaningful use of time that I have ever allocated in the past 16 years of my life.

So grateful. Hoping I don't sound like a maniac to other people reading my post lol, just wanted to express my gratitude for ICS

the stream was a bit laggy, but the value in these live clinics are amazing, this was my first one, the community was great, the experience was 9/10, very high yield, a lot of questions I had where answered, very informative, and definitely made me self-evaluate my marginal gains, it's also nice to see people that actually have ongoing journeys 2+ years in the course, Justin always says it, but I admittedly don't always believe him because of how much he says it, but seeing first hand, a professional in the course for that long affirms my decision to buy the course and take all the time I need, I knew rushing was bad, but now I have confirmation of just how far ahead I still be when I don't. very good clinic, thank you all

It was my first time in a live clinic. It was very useful to see the principles applied to real-life cases. Also, Justin's clarification of how to work in tracking marginal gains help me to understand better how to apply it myself.

Best investment in my life
I joined iCanStudy after watching videos on youtube and I am so glad that I did. There was no way I could have done myself so much help without the guidance and training from the iCanStudy team in every small aspect of my life relating to learning skills. It is truly a great experience to try out different methods of learning and get better even if there are mistakes in your method execution. The progress I have made is reeflected on my marks and my overall health, happiness and how I react to certain life experiences.
