Amazing tour with lots of bear…
Amazing tour with lots of bear sightings. Good accommodation and meals. Expensive but well worth it, would go again if I had the funds.

Amazing Self Drive Experience
We booked a self drive tour through Iceland Travel and it was amazing. They booked the hotels and rental car for us and provided us with an itinerary which helped us so much. They were very responsive to our inquiries and all around the experience was perfect. They also provided us with a gps and a tablet with interesting sights we might want to see which was extremely helpful.

Hildur was awesome
Hildur was awesome! she planned the best trip for us. The driving tour was the way to go for our family and was so easy to navigate.
We loved the hotels we stayed at and the excursions were top notch.
I highly recommend.

very nice tour
very nice tour. every stops during the tour were relevant with good choice of hotels.
but we were unable to reach the team during our stay for any question (email, phone...)

My granddaughter and I finally are able to travel to Iceland
Since my granddaughter was in grade school, she and I have always wanted to travel together to Iceland. Finally we had the opportunity to do it when her high school allowed her Senior project to be a trip to Iceland. We booked the Iceland Complete trip. The guide, Soffia, was excellent and the driver was also excellent. We expected to see a great deal and we even saw more. The food was excellent and the trip was first class. The only criticism I have is on the last day, I would have liked a city tour of Reykjavik. I have no problem giving this tour 5 stars. Both my granddaughter, Dani, and I will remember this trip for the rest of our lives.

Fantastic service
Fantastic service. Iceland Travel set us up with a great campervan rental and a fantastic hotel in a great area of the city! This is my second experience with them setting up a trip in Iceland. Will be using them again in the future!

Great trip, with a lesson about gas stations
Great trip, and amazing support. The tablet made it possible to use every minute of our time in Iceland to see amazing things. There was no such thing as a long transfer because the tablet informed us of what was near our route and we visited as many places as we could.
One suggestion: warn American travelers that many gas stations, especially in smaller towns, offer only pay at the pump using a credit card with a PIN. American credit cards don’t have PINs so I had to drive a greater distance to find a station where I could pay inside the convenience store. Americans need to request and insist on a PIN from the credit card company at least 2 weeks before departure.
Also, some gas stations sell prepaid gas cards for their American customers. They work at the pay at the pump stations. Again, you can buy them at a gas station where you can pay inside the store.

Poor communication and overly expensive for no reason
Didn't receive any response to my email sent the evening we arrived. This was regarding the tablet, which wasn't working properly. The tablet was a bit of a disappointment really and did not offer much more than a bit of a guide to a few of the sites. It also seemed to stretch some of the point to point journeys quite a bit.
My biggest frustration was that every hotel, apart from the first one, was booked for three rooms for my family when two rooms would have been fine in every case other than the first night because most of the rooms had capacity for 3 people. This added significantly to my costs for no reason.

We have done an investigation of your complaint and we couldn't find any e-mails from you at the evening of your arrival or any evening after that. We also were not able to find any records of a call from you to our emergency phone (which should be used outside of office hours, like in your case). The emergency phone number is listed in the travel documents we sent to you. Our office is open from 9 to 17 on weekdays and if an urgent matter arises outside those hours, it is important that our customers are always able to reach us.
We would really appreciate receiving more information from you, in order to locate your e-mail or a call to our outside office hours phone. Could you please send us an e-mail to customercare@icelandtravel.is with more detailed information so we can see what happened during your arrival?
As for the hotels, you requested to be arranged in 1 x single room and 2 x double room. I am very sorry if there was any misunderstanding at the time of the booking but I couldn't find any information stating other wishes from you.
