My husband and I used Nordic Visitor for our 16 day vacation to Scandinavia from May-June 2026. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the excellent service we received from Jemima Chesterfield and her amazing team! All of our questions were answered in a very timely manner and our itinerary throughout our trip was flawless! We traveled independently for the most part using trains, ships and plane. All of our travel connections were perfectly set-up in advance so our travels were made easy. The hotels that the company selected were great and were situated within walking distance to many of the many cultural sites. We highly recommend using Nordic Visitor!

Everything about our trip to Iceland was wonderful, from the horseback riding to a waterfall, to the glacier hike, to just hanging out in Reykjavik. Best of all, we felt fully informed about what we were doing and where we were going, thanks to the maps and the impressive binder and guidebook that Gabriela Sklenarova put together for us. And I should add that we knew we were in good hands long before we left, because for the previous few months Gabriela had kept us fully informed on our trip and was always incredibly responsive to our questions. We were so pleased, we look forward to booking with Nordic Visitor again!

Exceptional 10 days in Switzerland — thank you, Anuj!

We just returned from a 10-day trip through Switzerland planned by Nordic Visitor, and I can't recommend them highly enough. From the first inquiry to the day we flew home, the entire experience was seamless.

Our travel consultant, Anuj Puranik, was the reason this trip went from great to unforgettable. He answered every question I had — and I had many — almost immediately, with real answers rather than boilerplate. He built an itinerary that balanced the iconic stops with enough breathing room to actually enjoy them, and the logistics were flawless: transfers, rail connections, accommodations, and timing all worked exactly as promised.

What stood out most was that Anuj checked in on us while we were traveling. That's not something you expect, and it made my daughter and me feel genuinely looked after rather than processed. When you're navigating an unfamiliar country, knowing someone has your back changes the whole experience.

If you're considering Nordic Visitor for Switzerland, do it — and ask for Anuj. Ten days, zero problems, and memories we'll be talking about for years.

Good variety of experiences and sight seeing. Our guide Emiliano made each day interesting with his explanations and anecdotes. Trip was well planed and days were filled with many different activities. Friendly group of people was a bonus but most of all Emiliano as guide really made the whole trip better than one could ask for.
Also the back up from the office was 1st class. I highly recommend theme.

Barbara and John made for a great experience. Barbara's commentary and information about the various locations was enlightening and enjoyable. John's driving was impeccable. We always felt extremely safe

Everything about this from the time we booked until the end of the tour has been seamless. Great communication throughout. The visitor portal had so much great information in it about the places we were going. The tour Itself was fantastic. Our driver Kiri was very funny and informative and had a great soundtrack for the long bus ride rides! We saw so many beautiful sights, but never really felt rushed on any day. The accommodation and food along the way was excellent. It was good being part of a small group. Overall, I thought it was really good value for money and an excellent way to see the country if you’re not confident driving yourself.

Our first experience with Nordic Visitor was the self-drive Iceland Full Circle in 10 days tour in 2024. They did an excellent job coordinating our itinerary, arranging accommodations, and providing detailed information based on the amazing sites of the country and our preferences. They even called us to make sure we would be safe when the first snowstorm rolled in early in the season and adjusted our itinerary according to weather conditions. Very Impressive! A safe and wonderful experience in a beautiful country.
In June we did the Best of Switzerland by Train in 14 days through Nordic Visitor. Same as above, everything was arranged perfectly! My personal travel consultant, Anuj P., was absolutely wonderful to work with. Not only did he alleviate all my concerns regarding traveling through a foreign country by rail, but he also answered all my zillions of questions thoroughly and reassuringly regarding the trip. The sites and activities, accommodations, proximity to public transportation, were nicely incorporated in the itinerary. He kept in touch with us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going well. Any glitches we had were taken care of immediately. Everything was nicely arranged and coordinated, all we had to do was be there, both trips were amazing lifetime experiences thanks to Nordic Visitor.

Nordic visitor has the BEST accommodations and automobiles. This is my second trip with them and I am looking forward to booking a third. The documents they gave us were very comprehensive on what to see and do. I would encourage everyone to book their next trip with Nordic Visitor.

Barbara our guide was exceptional! She was very informative, and extremely friendly, and helpful. She has a great sense of humor and made the trip fun!!!

John our driver was excellent handling the difficult driving all through the Highlands as well as all other driving.

The Nordic admin team handling all the details prior to the trip were also friendly, quick to respond and provided excellent customer service that was very personalized.

Expectations exceeded!!!!

This is our 2nd lengthy international trip using Nordic Visitor and on both occasions they did a superb job. Jana set up our most recent self driving Norway Fjords-Lofoten trip and every detail was well thought out and worked perfectly. The distances between sites as well as suggested stops along the way was spot-on, and the included map with other informative suggestions was extremely helpful. Also, Jana was responsive during our trip via email if we needed to add or subtract an additional activity. I would highly recommend Nordic Visitor as they provide confidence and ease to the process of visiting a foreign country. We will certainly use them again for our next trip overseas. 👍

Just returned from Norway in a Nutshell - my first self-guided tour. It was seamless! Working with Jana Machalkova with Nordic Visitor we came up with the perfect itinerary for me. The Fjords are stunning, the trains comfortable, incredible views, and fun. My accommodations very nice and well located. Look forward to taking another trip with them.

Tour guide Perla Magnúsdóttir and driver George Larson were superb hosts on our recent small Nordic Visitor group tour of northwestern Norway July 19 - 25. We had only done large group (35-45) tours with another tour company prior to this experience. We got to see and do so many more things on this small group tour, highly tied to the knowledge of the Nordic Visitor organization and specifically due to Perla and George’s knowledge of interesting places along the routes and their involvement to show us things. We have so many photos of the unique places we visited, what we got to experience and do - to look back at and relive the experiences. Many kudos also go to Jemina Chesterfield at the home office for her above and beyond successful efforts to get a family member of our group of six, who missed his tight airline connection in Iceland, rescheduled on a next day flight to Bergen then on a regional airline flight to a small airport then on a ferry boat - to join our group the 2nd evening of our tour. She worked hard at making those short notice arrangements while effectively communicating with the displaced family member and our family members already on tour.

Our only minor negative was related to tour end. On our previous six European guided tours, there was always a farewell dinner the last evening that provided a chance to thank our hosts, talk a bit about what all we had seen and done. It was an abrupt and unexpected end to such a nice tour - to be dropped off at the hotel and suddenly go our own ways without much notice. I noticed that others outside our family group had similar comments as we walked into our hotel. All said, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely look more closely at small group tour options vs the large group ones that offer far less flexibility that our Nordic Vision tour provided so well. Thank you Nordic Vision!

This is my second time working w/ NV. My first time was to Iceland, and this time I went to Norway. Both times, I enjoyed every aspect of my trip.my guide on this trip was especially friendly, knowledgable, patient, and entertaining. The accommodations were superb. I intend to continue using NV in planning my next adventure. I have total confidence that they will continue their excellent service.

We had the most wonderful trip of our lives. We (Me, my wife, and our 14 year old son) did a self-driving tour of South Iceland and chose the Superior Package. It was incredible, the food and lodging were amazing, and the planned activities that Nordic Visitor helped us choose were so great. From the very beginning, everything was handled and planned so well. We worked with Zachary John Scott and I can't say enough great things about how he handled everything. From answering all of our questions to planning the perfect trip, even when I made some last minute detail changes, Zachary was just wonderful. We will definitely return and will definitely work with Nordic again. We are so thankful for the entire experience and are so grateful for the great work that you all do at Nordic Visitor. Thanks for helping us plan a trip that we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

Taste of Scandinavia was excellent, perfect balance of sights and activities. Our guide Derek was beyond exceptional and totally made the tour being very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and funny. He kept us all organised beautifully without us even thinking about it. If you’re wondering about taking a guided tour then do this one and ask for Derek!! You won’t be disappointed.

I had Maria as my consultant. She was amazing, she dealt with all my queries promptly and provided the best advice and service that enhanced our trip.
She provided us with a map, main travel routes highlighted, hotels plotted and it was a great help to receive on arrival at our first location. The itinerary was so comprehensive with helpful tips and information too.
The whole trip was amazing, the hotels were everything that we needed and we got upgraded everywhere with a ‘room with a view’; I think booking with Nordic holds some weight!
I would not hesitate to use this company for any future trip.

Nordic Visitor took care of every detail for us and responded promptly to each question we had. They were a tremendous time saver, especially because we did not have to sort through individual hotel reviews or worry about whether each hotel was conveniently located near the many attractions in the local areas. They even helped us book an experience during our trip when we thought it was already fully booked. While traveling in a foreign country, it was reassuring to know we could count on them whenever questions came up. Our tour leader, Derek was informative, knowledgeable and fantastic. The itinerary was very well organized. And people and the countryside of the Scandinavia countries was truly special.
