I purchased a Botanical Zip Small Domed Satchel and what I received was not as pictured. I have been trying to contact them for a week and still no reply. I have found several photo errors on their website and have brought them to the attention of ILD but never received any acknowledgment. I would NOT recommend purchasing from them. Their customer service is virtually non-existent and their photos, at times, do not match the item advertised.
Shipping Charges
I am a loyal Dooney & Bourke customer. For Mother's Day I spent almost $700 on bags & wallets for gifts as well as for myself. I was charged $10.50 shipping. I felt that was absurd. I emailed D&B regarding my concern. I received an email back apologizing but they do not have free shipping. Feeling this was still absurd, I called to speak with someone. Again, I got the same speech with no concern of losing a customer. I was so upset, I returned my bag with the wallet and was charged $10 for the return!!! Every other quality designer has free shipping. Today I saw 2 bags with wallets I loved and was so tempted to make the purchase, but again, shipping charges. I called the company again to make my plea about shipping charges and spoke with Oliver. Once again, no concern over losing a customer who was about to spend almost $500, and he proudly stated there were no exceptions. I advised him my loyalty would be going to a designer with free shipping and I would be sharing my experience on social media. D&B truly does not care, there is no regard for loyal customers. For me, it's not the cost of shipping, it's the principle.
No Customer Service with Price Adjusting
I ordered a crossbody camera bag on Saturday, May 24. It was supposed to be a Memorial Day sale but they increased the price and then had a 35% sale bringing it back down to the original advertised price. It surprisingly came to the original advertised price of $139. Today, May 29, the same bag was advertised for $119. I phoned for a price adjustment given that it was only 5 days since I placed my order! They refused to credit my account with the difference in price. What company does not have a customer policy with refunding a difference in price within a certain time frame of purchase. I talked to a customer service manager and she was absolutely rude and not helpful in correcting the situation! What is going on with this company, "I Love Dooney "?????

Me and the boys were looking for a good gift for mother's day and wanted a good value for a everyday leather handbag with good value and a reputable brand.
My wife has mentioned that she wanted a D&B leather handbag but they were always so expensive. I love Dooney had a mother's day sale going on and we found the perfect leather handbag for a everyday functional handbag and the price was right.
There was a great selection in different styles and colors and the online store ordering was easy and convenient.
We got exactly what we were looking for in a price which was affordable.

I called customer service with an issue and instead of correcting it they said it will take 1-2 weeks and I will get a reply - not a solution. I purchased a gift and it never arrived so I have to wait for them to hopefully correct and by then it will be too late as this purchase was a gift.
While the handbag itself appears new…
While the handbag itself appears new and well made, I discovered a used lipstick inside the interior zipper pocket after purchase. This suggests the bag was previously handled, which is unacceptable for a new item.
I’ve wanted a Dooney bag for years and waited a long time to purchase my first one, so this experience was especially disappointing. When I contacted customer service, I was told replacements are not offered and that I could return the bag at my own expense, with a note stating it was defective. Given that this was a sanitation issue, the response was disappointing.
Unfortunately, this experience has changed my impression of the brand, and I would not recommend shopping here or purchase from them again.
Cancelled my order with notification and for no reason
I ordered 4 bags from the site. 2 of which were the same product. They shipped 3 of my items (which were delivered on 12/20). I still had 1 bag stating it was on its way! On 12/20 I ordered 4 more bags, but still had 1 of my original bags that was not shipped or per the website on its way. I contacted customer service on 12/22 - to be told that my original item that I had not received was cancelled (not by me) because I placed my second order on 12/20 - which is confusing, because it never shipped with my original items on 12/17 that was delivered. I was never notified of the cancellation nor any refund being provided. The customer service had not logical explanation of the cancelation of my bag, other than I placed a 2nd order so they cancelled my order as a duplicate. (FYI: the bag that wasn't shipped was a duplicate bag for the first order --- my second order also has duplicate bags) so their reason for canceling remaining bag doesn't make any sense. I am currently waiting on an email from the supervisor regarding additional information and/or my refund status.

I am a frequent shopper on this site, I mistakenly placed and order around 10:30 on December 11th and there was no way to cancel online and they were closed i needed to call the next day at 9 I called at 9:05 only to be told the order has shipped, such a horrible experience, now I need to wait until I receive this bag that I don't want and have to deal with all of this hassle, sad to say I'm done with DOONEY

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have spent a fortune on I Love Dooney. I recently tried to buy 2 handbags as Christmas gifts. I received a confirmation email followed immediately by a cancellation email due to, "Unforeseen circumstances." I thought there was some mistake so I reordered the same bags. Again, confirmation then cancellation. This was over the weekend so I thought it might be a bank or credit card issue. So I checked with both my bank and credit card and they had charged my credit card each time but no refund yet from them. I contacted them on Tuesday to find out the problem. I received a snotty email from I Love Dooney saying that my purchases were "On review for fraud due to frequent chargebacks and we will not sell any more to you." I'm furious! I feel like piling all my bags that I purchased from them up, setting of fire, and filming for youtube to draw attention to their ridiculous excuse for customer service. I will NEVER buy another Dooney and Bourke bag! Update: I asked to speak to a supervisor so they gave me a phone number. When I dialed it was a call center in India. Supervisor my rear end. Again, Dooney and Bourke has the absolute worst customer service.
Very Pleased
I've ordered 4 handbags and returned 1. These were separate orders at separate times. Each time I received exactly what was ordered and received them in a decent timeframe. My return of one handbag was due to it being too large for me. I was refunded the money in a timely manner minus the shipping, which was clearly stated when I ordered. I've been very happy with the handbags. The descriptions were exact and actually the handbags looked better than online. I have been very pleased.
Don’t buy from them
My experience with this company was severely disappointing. I ordered three items that were misdelivered and subsequently stolen. Although a claim for the missing package was opened, the process has been a nightmare. After two weeks with no update, I contacted customer service only to be abruptly informed via chat that my claim was denied. Communication is non-existent: I never received the official denial email they referenced. Most frustratingly, the chat agent refused to help and then disconnected the chat mid-response. Based on this failure in both delivery and customer support, I strongly advise against ordering from this company. Save yourself the hassle and purchase items in a physical store.
I Love Dooney and Burke Scam
Placed an order over one month ago. I ordered 7 items. Three of the items shipped quickly. I called customer service and have opened up a case regarding my other items. They never have an answer for me and say they will look into it. As others have said, what a scam. They take your money and dont send the entire order. Stay away from this company!
Horrrrrrrible packaging
Customer Service never responded to my complaint. The handbag arrived in a box that had the tape barely hanging on, the box looked like it was run over by a truck, the handbag had no protective wrapping other than a plastic bag that also looked beat up. The box was way too big for the handbag, so it was bounced around. The handbag had dents and bends. Appalling.

Awful! Purse came fast so one star. But I never got a confirmation email on the order. I started the return process giving them the order number from the packing slip but website said they have no record of my order! Chat kept responding "I don't understand" so that was useless. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY!!!!!!
Dollar store presentation
Received items wrapped in plastic. Called customer service to ask why? and if I could pick up container boxes at on of the local stores? Customer service was extremely invasive. Demanded that I record all of my personal information on a recorded line even though they had everything from the order number, shipping zip code, phone and email address. So, one star for packaging, and one star for customer service. These items were meant to be gifts. I will try the local store anyway. But, I will not purchase anything else from this company. A disclaimer should be added to their website prior to purchase.

Purchased a lanyard that appears to have a defect. I am not sure if the lanyard is an original D & B as stated. For starters the casing is thin and flimsy. The clear card cover is very thin and the cutout around the clear cover is cut unevenly. And I dont think D & B would be happy to sell such a product under their brand. Get what you pay for. It was only $31.

NOTHING EVER ARRIVED, AND ANY EMAILS & CALLS TO THEIR COMPANY WERE EITHER NO RESPONSE, OR WAITING 45 MIN FOR VARIOUS TRANSFERS BEFORE THE IMBECILES THAT WORK THERE HUNG UP. no retail business has pulled that garbage - btw, they have not REFUNDED THE OVER $700 ORDER, FOR NOT, REPEAT, NOT SHIPPING & CANCELLING WITHOUT EVEN SO AD TO NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER BY EMAIL NOR PHONE. a bunch of shady scammers whatever fraudsters are hiding behind the site, there's been nothing but horrible reviews by consumers and endless complaints on BBB.
