Cheap plastic crap! Not as advertised. Scam company

Scam please don’t be fooled like I was😡
They do not give you your money back if you want a refund. Avoid at all cost!!

We fell for this scam and ended up receiving a cheap mass produced plastic toy, from China. Apparently our 30 day money back guarantee will be honoured, if we ship the item back to China at a cost upto €80. Stay well away.

We came to your restaurant for our anniversary and I have to say the food was very average.
Not what I would have expected at all.
Very expensive for an average meal for two.
Not the Anniversary meal we hoped for.

Scam company - DO NOT BUY from these guys.

The pictures are AI and the products are nothing like the pictures and plastic junk.

Scam - gives off vibes of a traditional English business but in fact it’s all from China and what you get sent is garbage

This is not handmade quality goods but cheap Chinese imports that can be bought for a fraction of the price on Amazon. The goods do arrive eventually but don’t bother - it’s basically a con.

I feel like an idiot for not checking Trust Pilot before buying from this site. Just as others have said, it's a total scam. I bought a couple of colourful cat lamps that took weeks to arrive. When they did turn up, they were complete junk probably worth less than £10. The quoted cost of a return to China would have been more than the cost of the goods. Do not be fooled like I was!

This is a scam site. The adverts are designed to draw customers in with a sad story of having to close the business, colourful items for sale and massive discounts which expire end of day - all on the run up to Christmas. I know Cambridge well, and when searching for the shop on Google Maps it doesn’t appear. The name search is very similar to a well known restaurant in Cambridge so it takes a bit more research to identify that it doesn’t exist. There is also no address on the contacts page. Reported to Facebook where I saw the ad. Their ad analysis shows that website is run from Bangladesh and the Philippines - not a local run shop in Cambridge who have had to close,

This is not a UK company. Do your research. Website was made only a few days ago and is registered from outside the UK and page authors have accessed from china and the US. Save yourself the time and the frustration and move on. Please report the ads where seen as they are misleading, which is illegal in the UK.

I ordered an item from them but they took 4payments from my account I did question the purchase.I received the 2 items which I accepted but requested a refund too my account to the other 2 payments.I have since received another2 items that are not wanted they are poor quality.I am hoping my bank can sort it out. Should have read reviews on Trust Pilot.

I contacted them within 2 minutes to cancel the order. Per their website as long as it has not been packaged and shipped, a refund is possible. Well it's not! and not only that, if you want to return it, you need to pay the shipping TO CHINA!!!
Despite what the website indicates, this is not a British company. It's a Chinese drop shipper. They are NOT going out of business. It's a scam.

I'm kicking myself for not checking on here first, I usually do! It stated it was from UK so when I realised via tracking it was from china alarm bells immediately rang! When it finally arrived, it's simply hideous, nothing like the image shown on the site. I am complaining at the moment regards a full refund, been offered 10% back then 20 then asked if I want to return it but at my cost....to China. I refused that. Now been offered 30% I have stated I would accept literally a little short of my full money back.....awaiting outcome. £35 is not a huge amount but for this pathetic piece it's scandalous. Don't buy from here

Another scam from China!
Absolutely shocking product.
I usually check trustpilot before buying anything but the website is very good and looks like its from the UK. It took 2 weeks to get here.

Attending the restaurant with in-laws and in-laws grandparents. We'll start with the positives.

Bar staff lovely, check in superb

Unfortunately that's when the positivity takes a turn.

We had afternoon tea for 7 people unfortunately that was then 6 as no gluten free options. Not the end of the world but considering the price tag and reputation of the brand I expected more.

We struggled to communicate with the staff at first it was busy so lots of people talking but equally we weren't speaking in nightclub. We had to repeat our requests several times. We asked for water with our drinks and had to chase it up with the staff.

When our coffees arrived one got split and instead of replacing the office mopped up the coffee and gave the half empty coffee.

You just expect more again considering the price you're paying.

I can say that our server for what was the second half of the meal was great attentive and really nice.

Food was fine but not great and considering the whole experience cost £270 you leave feeling that you've been politely robbed.

Certainly wouldn't recommend this experience and wouldn't go back again for a second try.

Really disappointed £270 is a lot of money especially now and to come away from what should be a lovely treat out with family feeling that we could have done a lot more with the money spent elsewhere is not a great feeling.

If you are wanting afternoon tea I would look elsewhere in Cambridge

As others' reviews - low quality. Very disappointed.

The items received were very poor quality, certainly not worth £65. I have been told I have to return the goods, at my cost, to China, in order to claim a refund. Outrageous.

If I could give minus 20 stars I would. Do NOT buy from this company. This is a slick false advertising scam. The items are cheap and nasty and not made as advertised. The company is not as advertised, the 40 year old family business closing down sale is not true. Only details I can find of the company are from October 2025. The refund has not been possible to get.
