Tried to get price to do my taxes this year.straight form no long form.spent 35 to 45 minutes on taxes and hit me with 450.00 for doing them.rediculous for time to do.wont be back.consumer beware

If you have complex return…just don’t go there. They are not familiar or accurate when entering info into their software. Remember, you are ultimately responsible for what you send to IRS, regardless of their guarantee.

Not a fan of Jackson Hewitt... we had a terrible experience last year with a tax preparer who tried to trick us into taking her dog that she brought into the office. I've also been to two offices and they both needed major improvements. A third office was closed, even though we had made an appointment.

Despite this, I am a fan of Randy Penny, who works at Jackson Hewitt on Perrin Beitel in San Antonio. He was very patient with my husband and I and thoroughly answered all of our questions. He genuinely wanted to help us understand everything, get us the best refund, and provide us with the best customer experience. So, we'll be returning every year, as long as he's available, no matter what company he works for.

1. Tax professional could not print working copy of 2023 tax return to include the worksheets for review.
2. Tax professional could not print 2022 tax return with working copies.
3. Could not access 2022 or 2023 tax return on website.
4. Tax professional could not tell me who to talk to in case of IRS Audit.
5. Tax professional of review for filing is minimal - does have access to worksheets for taxpayers review.
6. Local level tax professionals are not set up for success - they have minimal access to tax returns, cannot print your tax return in the office, can not show you the worksheets that provide input to the tax return.

My tax prparer was great. She was very knowledgeable about my tax questions. She was accurate and allowed me to ask questions and review for accuracy.

Last year a Jackson Hewitt office I only went to placed the wrong mailing address on the tax return. I had to wait longer for my tax refunds. I called Brian Trinidad at that office and was told he will change it. Apparently he never did, as after I got home from filing at a different Jackson Hewitt Jan 30 Peter DiGaudio, office he also placed the wrong mailing address. In calling him, he brushed me off as he said he was with another client and will call me back, but he never did.

After waiting 6 weeks for no receiving tax return, I called Peter DiGuadio of which he did not answer. I left message, once again he did not call back.

JH asked all stupid questions before filling out the tax forms. but not the important one "is this your correct mail address?" Here Jackson Hewitt is inept. The office last year said he was gong to change it and never did. But they should compare the mail address with the W2, or ask what is the mail address you want your refund checks sent too. Also the mail address was on the rent certificate and w2.

I had to make many phone calls to the IRS of which is irritating time. I paid Peter DeGuadio his rip-off fee of $220 just for a simple half hour forms. How about paying for my time of doing what he should have done correctly.

The lady used the wrong routing number for direct deposit even after I showed her the right one. She used the same one that everyone uses in Alabama ( as she told me later) my account was opened up in Florida. For the first time every it took almost two months for my refund to be approved. After its approved She said it would take a week for me to get a check from them when direct deposit doesn't go through because of wrong routing number. Its been 2 weeks and still nothing. They claim taxes done right "guaranteed " but that's not true. My taxes were done wrong and I still have to pay them 650 dollars. They offered me a 100 dollar amazon gift card instead of money back or fixing anything.

The person who did my taxes did not do a very good job.I was in the office for two hours doing my taxes.
She was too slow.
I will be looking somebody else do my taxes next year.

So after seeing Jackson Hewitt's ad for a flat $25 to file my taxes I decided to give them a try.....well let's just say my $604 return has now become 199$ ! They charged me $400 to do my return! Gets better....that's with the $100 discount the supervisor gave ! It was $500 ! I contacted the customer service number and got some woman who gave me the run around and told me to call the office I used to have the manager break down the charges....but they couldn't refund any of the costs and the main customer service number people can't help me! I emailed a" big wig " within the company who responded with the more complex your tax background was determined the amount they charged you to prepar your tax return......it took all of 20 minutes to do my return and I have a real simple tax background.....I will never recommend or use Jackson hewitt ever again! My mom is dying in the hospital and I really needed the majority of my return to pay bills stacking up because I can't work while staying in the hospital by her side.....shame on you Jackson hewitt and please no one ever use this company for your tax refund preparation service!! I'm so upset about this!! If I could give them a negative star I would give a -5 stars.

I have been a Jackson Hewitt customer for sometime now this year I went to get my taxes done, I was told that I couldn't get the clean energy credit for work that me and my husband are doing slowly because it is very expensive. I use to praise Jackson Hewitt but I will never in life deal with this company agin they are full of it!

My tax professional Chris made my experience a lot less complicated and understandable than I had thought! My thoughts prior to going in and sitting down with Chris was that this was going to be exhausting complicated and challenging but she really shined through with her expertise and encouragement through the process and I’m sooooooo happy and recommend everyone to go see her!!!

I called ahead of time because I have two promissory notes to be sure they could do the taxes. Young lady did not know how to do that but said she would ask a supervisor. Almost two weeks later, she says supervisor won't respond. Called main office and was told I would be called back. Did not call back. When I called
for the third time, call center person was very rude
I had to go get my paperwork and now find someone else to do them. Never again

Was lied to saying my filing cost was a $100 and ended up costing me over $439 ripped off SCAM avoid this service at ALL COST !

Went to Jackson Hewitt in Wal Mart in Winchester,Tenn.The worst experience in my life of having my income taxes done.She said it would cost 65.00 at first.Then when she seen i was getting 700.00 back and had all my paper work in the computer she said it's now gonna cost 200.00.Then she says they will just take the fee from your refund and charges you extra for that.Nothing But Crooks.
