Run from this scam. Advertises savings for first time users and seniors. What a joke. My agent was great but the prices are outrageous. 70 year old on Social Security and have a small side job to make ends meet. Over $400 to get my taxes done. Don't bend over for this company. They are out to screw you. Never had this high of a tax prep even when I was itemizing and had my own business. Never again.

Waited over ten minutes for my scheduled appointment. Got there and the location was closed and the staff member never showed up. Didn’t get a text, call, or email notification about this. And I couldn’t even reschedule or cancel my appointment because the staff no showed. Waste of my time. Don’t bother wasting your time either.

False advertisement $100. First off these people couldn’t even file my taxes and if they could it would cost me dearly. Went in there because I had to amend my taxes they told me this is going to be very difficult we can’t do it. Wht? Even had to make an appointment sat there while this tax preparer told me you didn’t make anything. The advertisement said even if we can’t file for you , you get $100 . Jackson Hewitt I will never ever come back.

Tracy at JacksonHewitt store 8854 on Tara Blvd. In Jonesboro, Ga.,was professional, knowledgeable and patient. She helped with the Robin hood account and was able to add my child and grand child to my taxes that I'm fully supporting since her divorce.
The price was cheaper than my previous preparor, which is a plus.

I decided to see if Jackson Hewitt Tax Service cost would be less than my tax service for thirty plus years. I called the Jackson Hewitt Dellwood Missouri office. The staffer was polite and professional. Once we went though the basic stuff you need to fill my taxes. She wanted my mobile number.I told her. I don't accept business calls on my mobile number. I told her I only accept family and friends calls on my mobile phone. I accept business calls on main line at home. She then asked me for my email address. I provided it to her. I DIDN'T MAKE THE CALL TO HER OFFICE ON MY MOBILE PHONE. I MADE THE CALL ON MY HOME MAIN LINE. About an hour later I received a voicemail from the Dellwood office on my mobile telephone. She also sent me two emails and both had my home main telephone number on them. First and foremost how did she get the mobile number and she ignore my request to use my home number. THAT WAS A HUGE RED FLAG. IGNORING MY REQUEST AND HOW DID SHE OBTAIN MY MOBILE NUMBER. Those two things, made me cancel my appointment with them.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. This is my first and last time using Jackson Hewitt. They did not honor their discounted price. We were told the $149 was for federal only and not the state. I had dropped off our return and the preparer didn’t start until we sat in the seat the next day. What was the point in dropping off the taxes if she wasn’t going to work on them? That’s not to mention the delay in our return. It’s been over a month and we’ve never experienced this in previous tax years. You can’t speak to anyone about it either. I did speak to the preparer and she kept telling me not worry about it. Unfortunately, she is very hard to understand which makes it worse. I guess we’ll have to cross our fingers and hope for the best and receive our return because this company seems to dodge their customers. You live and you learn. I would not ever come to this business again. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS!

I had a wonderful experience. Ms Jennifer Hamms did my family’s return again this year. She takes time explaining everything to me. She straightened our return out last year after another preparation was not done correctly to put it in Cristian words. She is doing our returns as long as she will. I live in a small town named Amory Mississippi 38821.I can’t thank y’all enough for having an employee as Her. I don’t know if y’all ever Reward an exceptional lady or man but if you can or do hold an employee out front when they deserve it.please accept my wife’s and my thankfulness we ended up with you as our preparer. SCAM I had over $5000 taken in federal taxes and he swore to me this was Normal to get $300 of it back. I should have known AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I was very satisfied last year when I did my taxes. This year we dont know who prepared our taxes nor was my refund nearly what we expected. And it cost a lot of money. I had to call more than once to check on my taxes. Took pretty much 2 weeks to get them back after we dropped them off and to not know who really did them is more bothersome as we dont like everyone in our financial business.

Finally, after eight years of moving to the United States, we were able to find this good company for our tax affairs. Naira Vardarsian helped us a lot with her patience, professionalism, and hard work. She helped us with the tax documents accurately and we are grateful for her professional work. Naira Varderesian,we appriciate you for your great job.

Took a month to be called back in after drop off service. Still took 2 hours after they made me think I was just signing, paying and sending off to the IRS. 2 hours!
They severely lack customer service and communication practices.
They also CLAIM that as a first time client, you’ll pay $49. Nope! $99 for each year filed.
I will NEVER use their service again!

Sara Copland at the Merced Ca. office was very helpful in answering my questions getting the taxes done in a timely manner and helping me with my bill.

I had my taxes done at the Walmart in Carlisle, PA. The agent was outstanding. She was very nice, had answers, taxes were done rapidly.

communication at Marion Ohio place on Delaware Ave between person working from 11am to 4pm and 4pm to closing. black gal who works 11am shift acts like it kills her to work and don't know a thing, but the gal from 4pm on gets right down to it and knows her job and takes and answers questions and very helpful i had to go 3 times and gal on 11am shift did not know apples from pairs and second i went to gal on 4pm shift my taxes was done in about 15 mins done and ready; your gal on 11am needs better training or needs to learn her job more

This company is very bad
The guy who did my tax for the previous year before last year 2025 was a whole confused person. He's logins for the filing were completely wrong and misspelled. And also they over charge for not doing a good job. I remember calling the manager or supervisor giving him all my correct information which he said he has updated it, whiles I was on the phone with him. It was a lie he never bothered to do it after waisting more than 30 minutes on the phone talking to him. Please and please again am begging everyone never to go there.These people bring unprofessional staffs to file your taxes and you end up with complications on your tax return with IRS. The guy who did my tax is called Jamal he will never respond to your call if you have any concerns about the tax he filed for you. That was my first time and I have promised myself never and ever will I go there again.

I used JH for the first time this year after being informed that my decades long relationship with my accountant would cost me almost 25% more than last year. I contacted Alexandra at JH in Selden, LI, NY. Took barely an hour, She was professional and charming. It cost less than half of the projected rate and I did not owe anything ! I have recommended this office and it has been used with success by some. I am a big fan

This was our first time trying this company. Should have turned around and walked out as soon as we walked in!!! The "office" was run down, and frankly, scary! Signs on the front door about all doors to attached apartments being locked. Seemed as though there was an eviction going on. The (one) lady working was really nice, but had no idea that she had an appointment. Didn't ask us any questions when we walked in, we had to start it all off, and finally got to the part that we had an appt. We booked the 1 hour appt and assumed we would leave with our taxes completed. NOPE. She need to hold onto everything and leave it for the next person, after telling us that she had been sitting there alone for 2 days until we came in. We spoke about the fee, "$149 OR LESS, for all situations, no matter how complex." Not true. She said the State could be 100's of dollars. Reluctantly, we left everything. Got a call next day from someone else telling us that it could be up to $900!! I quoted the ad from the internet and she said that their sign doesn't say that. We went in to collect our paperwork and I showed her the ad online. She had no idea it was there and told me it wasn't true. Hmmmm. We will be going elsewhere and NEVER going back there again!

Never again the process was fast and helpful once filing, BUT them fees was ridiculous & on top of that when you try to call for help they don’t even help you always giving you the run around but you filed my taxes and took almost $800 I won’t be back I usually do my own but I wanted the advance loan that I didn’t even get approved for. All in all go else where!!
