I went in looking for a new knife and…
I went in looking for a new knife and really wanted somewhere I could actually try a few different options before deciding. As someone who loves knives, and with my family treating me to one for my birthday, walking into the shop felt a bit like walking into Wonka World!
I ended up spending far too long in there and trying far too many knives, but at no point did I feel rushed or pressured. I was looked after by Prince, who was incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable.
He took the time to explain the differences between the knives I was looking at and suggested a few options I hadn’t originally considered. There was never any hard sell — just genuinely useful advice that helped me work out exactly what suited me.
I eventually walked away with a knife I’m absolutely delighted with, and they even engraved it for me, which made a birthday present feel that little bit more special.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. If you love good knives and want proper advice rather than just buying something from a website, I’d highly recommend a visit.

At last I have the Perfect Knife!
After years of walking passed the Kensington branch looking longingly at all the beautiful knives, I finally went in earlier this year to be educated! Thankfully Snehal was there to buzz me in and answer ALL my questions whilst also gently offering up advice and knowledge.
Roll forward to this week and I finally bit the bullet and ended up with the knife I’d always longed for! She’s a beaut and I’m pleased that Snehal was there witness the happy event! Used the new edition to make my dinner. It was super tasty for having the extra knowledge, maintenance advise, waiting for the time to be right and heads up about how sharp the blade would be was appreciated. No claret spilled, I do listen. Sometimes!!

Absolutely brilliant service and products
I go to the Chiswick shop. Absolutely brilliant service there and they are so helpful and full of good advice. My recently purchased Strix chef and petty knives are fabulous. These knives are so beautifully made and will last a lifetime. I have realised (a bit late) that it really is worth buying the best you can afford, especially if you use the knives every day. I really could not be happier.

Perfect store! Went in to the store to look for a beginners knife, Maulik provided excellent service, and was incredibly knowledgeable. The store has a big focus on care and safety, both in terms of products and general information they provide. Would recommend for anyone who was interested in Japanese cooking and did not know where to start!

Got my kitchen knife in good condition…
Got my kitchen knife in good condition I like the harder steel it’s made from its attractive and very sharp bordering o a razor blade . I only used it to slice bread I make myself so it glides thru the bread very easily and I can now cut bread eavenly top to bottom small thing but very satisfying plus the blade is very narrow if you want the best check out these blades very good quality and attractive to behold
