I contacted the Japanese Knife Company as I was unable to source Percival knives from France. Twinkle responded to my enquiry as to whether JKC could get them for me, in the affirmative. I duly placed my order and was advised that delivery would not be for several week. The parcel arrived yesterday and the knives are exquisite. Overall I could not have had better service from JKC and especially Twinkle whose communication was excellent.

Best way to gain confidence
First the theory, which made it much more understandable. Then we practiced sharpening a knife and learned the variations necessary as each side of the knife is handled differently. Now I have the confidence to sharpen my expensive Japanese knives knowing I will not damage them.

Certified Japanese Knives
Most importantly reputable brands and Certified Japanese knives policy. Delivery was quick and knives well wrapped. I unfortunately received a limited edition knife with a damaged handle and asked them to reserve a different ltd. knife for me. I received a digital shipping return slip the same day and was able to exchange my knife for a new one within approx 5 working days. Great support and great costumer service. All knives are received with instructions on how to care for your knife. Recommend 5/5 and will shop again.

Fantastic Japanese Knife…
This was a fantastic Japanese Knife store but always so much more.
They carry Konro grills and binchotan charcoal, oil straining pots, tare brushes, Donabe cookware from Iga, graters, Bonsai tools, etc.
I literally filled a suitcase!
The staff is professional , friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.

Incredible shop and amazing knife-sharpening lesson
The shop is incredible and full of beautiful knives but, more importantly, I participated to a knife-sharpening class with Maulik Shukla and it was an amazing experience: very enjoyable and very serious at the same time - I learned a lot (it definitely changed how I behave in my own kitchen) and had a lot of fun at the same time. Maulik is passionate, very skilled and knowledgeable, highly trained and he is a great teacher. I highly recommend the shop and the experience!
