Jennis and Warmann did our order for wedding suits and fulfilled the order. We had to return one of the suits for a different size. We were told to pay for another suit and return the mis sized one and they would refund us. but after being assured that the suit had been returned in we still have yet to receive a refund! We are many months later. No email contact anymore, their phone lines still aren't open. AVOID!!!

Ordered multiple suits for a wedding from Jennis & Warmann. Initially surprised to see the order shipped from China? No mention of this on the website anywhere.. With this aside the suits are well made and fit as they should. We ordered an additional jacket with the intention of returning the unwanted size as per their returns policy. Sent this jacket back via Royal Mail signed for, jacket was received and signed for which we have proof of yet still no refund. We are well over 3 months now trying to get the money back. Having just dealt them a final due date before arranging the money to be returned to us via our credit card company instead. Terrible customer service.

The fact that you're looking at reviews here and not just the website means you're smarter than me and hopefully won't make the same mistake I did in trusting this company with my wedding suit.

They do a very good job of projecting an air of professionalism, starting with the process of getting you to take a vast array of measurements. Unfortunately, none of that makes it way through to the finished product. Either all those measurements land in the bin or the people they have sewing can't use them. I've never had a worse fitting suit. Even the suit I had to buy off the rack two days before my wedding fit better (thanks H&M for saving the day).

Their customer service is, like all the reviews here attest, diabolical. They only responded to an issue of having mixed up customer's orders, thereafter silence.
As for the delivery, it took forever, but they still managed to send me someone else's order (not even close in colours, gender etc), and ruined the wedding preparation.

As for the suit itself once it finally arrived... If only it looked even remotely like the suit on the website. First of all, I bet any money that the fabric is a cheap Chinese copy of Harris Tweed. If Harris read these reviews they should immediately investigate this company trading on their name and harming their brand. I own a few Harris tweed jackets and there is no comparison. If you hold this up light even shines through it. Secondly, there are threads visible all over the jacket and trousers poking out through the seams. Seams are also warped. Third, the lining is only applied to the inside front of the trouser legs! Who does this!? But it is yet another sign of this company cutting any corner it can. And that will show.

I also ordered another non-wedding suit, not in tweed (windowpane sharkskin suit) It's also just an incredibly cheaply made suit. Not as badly executed as the Harris Tweed, but then again, they took a month longer to make it, in total over three months until delivery.

Save yourself a lot of hassle and money. Avoid this company like the plague.

Disgraceful way to run a business!

Seriously avoid this lot. Ordered a suit for my wedding and over two months on no suit. Wouldn’t refund me but luckily bought the suit through PayPal so just been awarded a full refund.
Read all the reviews, they all say the same. Avoid them they are cowboys.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Ordered a suit and sent back as it was not fit for purpose and not as advertised. Return recieved and signed for but still waiting for a refund and its been over a month. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

They were very helpful in the first instance as in getting in the order through.
As soon as the suit arrived it didn’t fit correctly at all item was not as described and quality was not great. Asked for a refund that’s where the communications stopped finally got somewhere and they said send it back - months and months went passed constant emails and messages left no one got back to me after sending back. They then changed the adress to send the suit back to after them advising to send it to another address absolute scam! Caused alot of stress this is not a company I would ever recommend!! In the end Pay pal saved me here!! AVOID

TLDR: Bought items, returned them and they only gave my money back because I lodged a claim with PayPal. They won't answer the phone and they will avoid your emails.

I bought a three piece suit and another waistcoat (to compare suit colours). It took over a week for the items to be dispatched, another few weeks for them to turn up.

After finally receiving the items the quality was fine for the price but they were not the suits for me. I contacted Jennis and Warmann to organise a return as nothing had been customised. I had to contact them twice to get the address to send the items to. After the items arrived at the return address (Tracked with Royal Mail special delivery) I contacted them 7 times over 4 weeks. The only response I got was to check the address I'd sent the items to and that they'd check. After waiting over a month I lodged a complaint with Paypal to investigate the issue. Within a week PayPal managed to refund the full amount.

I've received no further communications from Jennis & Warmann. It seems they wanted to keep both the returned items and my money. I wish I'd read the reviews on here before committing to buying a suit.

I ordered a suit four months ago - nothing has been delivered, communication has been zero unless prompted by myself, then there have been stalling messages as well as unanswered e-mails. Do not order from this company, they are not to be trusted with your money. I have now belatedly requested a refund. I am not holding my breath!

I ordered a suit, which arrived about 3 weeks later than the expected delivery date. The suit itself was alright, quality not quite there but appropriate considering the costs. However, it didn't fit so I asked for a return. The customer service replied and I sent the suit back, with tracked delivery so I know it arrived. I followed their returns protocol step by step. Since returning it I haven't heard back, its been nearly 2 months and my numerous attempts to contact the customer service have never been answered.

My experience with this company didn’t begin great, after the promised delivery period was up I had to pester them to get on with my order. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t answer emails or Twitter, they ONLY reply on INSTAGRAM. After weeks of constant messages to keep them interested (I felt like a parent pestering to get their kids homework done) I finally got some tracking info. I have never been so relieved after being so convinced I’d been scammed. The order came from China, I had to pay a hidden shipping fee directly from DHL to get it into the country which was £20 ish so beware for that as well. Eventually 68 days after my order was made my packages containing my suits arrived. WOW, the suits were PERFECT. Incredible quality and sized exactly how they say on their website. I don’t understand how and why they can’t improve customer service, they sell a product that people will love but they make it very hard work for a customer to have a good experience. In conclusion, if you are 100% sure of your sizing and willing to wait 2 months and pester them to get your suit then you will be happy. For me it was worth the hassle but I wouldn’t buy a suit from here again despite the great quality it’s just too much like trying to control your kids.

Booked in for a consultation, picked out the exact suit I wanted, submitted my measurements and photos exactly as recommended on the website and then received a suit that despite losing nearly 5 kg, did not fit, and was so tight I couldn’t get the trousers over my calves. They wouldn’t even admit that this was their fault despite attending and then confirming the measurements I had submitted were accurate and correct, and offered no solution, so I’m now down nearly £500 and have no suit. I’d avoid them to be honest and get yourself either a decent off the rack from a reputable source, or a genuine tailor who will make a decent suit. They are a bit of a scam.

Started by arranging a fitting on the website at their office in east London, after taking a day off from work and travelling there only to find out they are closed on that specific day, but I wasn’t informed, so traveled home again. I was not put off because their suits looked great, I booked a Zoom chat with Jay but didn’t receive Zoom credentials, another meeting that didn’t happen. I was not put off again! All the time not being able to talk to anyone on the phone which was never answered, through email I booked another Zoom chat which was a success Jay ran though some mix and match suits that he recommended and though an excruciatingly slow process showed me fabric samples and colours through low resolution images which I optimistically picked from. After the meeting had finished I felt that I hadn’t seen the whole range of what was available because of this and was looking for more options and inspiration from the website. Trying to achieve this was some what difficult, custom service was poor, never answered phone calls again and always briefly replied to emails late at night or not at all making it very difficult to communicate and get things sorted. Had to give up in the end and settle for what I had picked originally. I was not happy with the delivery. The suit arrived one day before the deadline due to several wasted weeks with poor communication, making it impossible to do any final tailoring on waistcoat and trousers that I ended up not wearing due to this, not only that but I wasn’t happy with colour and fabric. I had a back up suit just in case that I ended up wearing. In their defence It’s extremely hard to tailer and pick fabrics on a computer or phone screen, this suit was a gamble that didn’t pay off, it saddens me because they look so great on their website. Wouldn’t recommend. You can’t beat a one on one suit fitting. I’d recommend you pass on this internet based shop

Sent a suit back due to it not fitting properly, the jacket was way to long. I was told to send it back to an address they informed me over email. I did this 3 weeks ago abs I haven’t heard anything since. They say they’re phone lines are open wed-Sat but they never answer. Avoid buying if you want your money back in the case the suit doesn’t fit. Such a shame as they’re lovely suits when they fit

My husband bought a suit a few months ago. The jacket and waistcoat were too small. He was told he could return them and that he should purchase a new jacket and waistcoat and he would be refunded the cost. Small jacket and waistcoat were returned in July and new ones received (and fit well) but the company is now not responding to emails. So effectively paid twice. Jennis and Warmann have lost out on a lot of future business

We ordered a made-to-measure groom suit 2 weeks ago and was told to select express delivery since the wedding is in mid-October. Since we placed the order and followed up with the company via email and phone to understand the status and confirm delivery date, no-one has ever answered the phone, nor responded to any of our emails (we have tried at least 8 times in a 2 week period). The website looks slick but there clearly is something not right here so we have had to order a backup suit from elsewhere and follow up on the issue via PayPal. I would definitely not recommend this company.

Update from my previous review, I was forced to take Jennis and Warmann to court in early May. They had no choice but to agree they owe me money, yet they STILL have not paid me a penny. They now have a county court judgement against them and I am still waiting for my money.

Ordered custom tailored 3 piece suit 14 January and paid for suit and shipping. By 30 March, received nothing, so sent email to Sales at J&W. Jay replied Covid virus has caused delays for them, but expected to ship tomorrow. By April nothing arrived here in Philadelphia, so tried calling. Recorded message was "we are closed". Sent e-mail to Sales, but no response. Curiously, their web site functions as usual, selling, and collecting payments, although the J&M facility in London appears to be on total lockdown. Hopefully my $400 is not gone forever. Why could not J&W have an employee respond to emails via their laptop at home, as businesses in the USA have learned to do? Sad. Avoid doing business with this Company, else lose your money.

Purchased a grey barleycorn suit from the website. The quality of the suit was good, however the fit was unsatisfactory. I have numerous suits and sport coats in the size ordered (42L). This suit was clearly a good size too small (tight). I am located in the US and after paying the very high initial shipping was told by customer service that I would incur the shipping to return (reorder) a larger version and the outbound shipping again. Shipping charges would approach the cost of the suit itself. they suggested having the suit and waistcoat tailored here in the states.

Quite a disappointment to pay for a "tailored" suit, pay high shipping, and have to have it all re-tailored domestically. Their suits may be fine for those who can return to the store for additional alterations but suggest that international customers take heed.

I am writing the review here as they chose not to post my original review (which they solicited via email) written last month. I saw they opted not to publish it on their site.
