Joe & Seph's Gourmet Popcorn Reviews 

Found foreign objects(strip of paper and a light human hair in bag of Black pepper/goats cheese popcorn delivered unopened by Ocado today.

I ordered last month and was invited to leave a review on their website. I bought two products and gave an overall rating of 4 stars. However, I rated the Pistachio flavour 2 stars and the other flavour 5 stars. FYI the pistachio flavour just wasn't there, it mostly tasted just like caramel.

It appears that Joe & Seph's may be selectively publishing only 5-star product reviews. My 2-star review for the Pistachio flavour has not been published, whereas my 5-star review for the other flavour has.

While I appreciate the company's innovative flavour choices, I don't like the idea of a company controlling which reviews appear on its website, as it gives a misleading impression if only the most positive reviews are shown.

I do appreciate the quick delivery and flavour choices.

However, as a result of this apparent review moderation, I have reduced my overall rating from 4 stars to 3 stars.

I have now ordered to 2 lots of popcorn and am so impressed by the quality. I especially like the milk chocolate covered popcorn! Such a different gift to send and I think good value and a change from flowers. My daughter received hers as a surprise and she was really happy! I would definitely recommend.

I signed up for a subscription service for one year, last September. I knew from the outset I'd occasionally get flavours I didn't like as you can only exclude two types of flavour from your profile choices.

At the end of April I cancelled the subscription, having remembered it would otherwise auto-renew. Since then I have been receiving the same selections of popcorn every week - I just had the fourth identical box delivered. I contacted J&S to let them know and they thought I would be "happy to know" that they have fixed the issue now.

I'm happy for them, I'm not too happy that I've been sent cheese (which I don't like) and Guinness (which I don't like) flavour popcorns four times now, wasting eight of my subscription packs over a technical error.

Therefore, I can recommend the product (when you can choose your own flavours at least) but definitely not the subscription service.

Today I received my Sweet & Salty popcorn from Joe&Seph. So many packets in the box, felt like Christmas. The taste took me back to when I was a kid when the popcorn of the time was the fabulous Butterkist. It was that popcorn that set the future for me with popcorn. A preference over many other sweet treats. J&S popcorn is a quality product. There are many different tastes, flavours and combinations to choose from. Some even covered or partially coated with chocolate. If you are a popcorn fan then Joe and Sephs product will definitely be for you. I also take time to acknowledge their Customer services. I have rung them in a few occasions and the person in the receiving end is always helpful, polite and friendly. Thank you.

This is the best popcorn I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not joking, it’s changed my life and it is so delicious that I can’t wait to buy the next bag. It’s my treat after a long week at work. I really love it so much! The Camembert flavour is the best in my opinion, closely followed by the goats cheese & black pepper! Just amazing!!

I bought the best sellers collection for my wife for her birthday but I've been having serious problems with Royal Mail of late and was worried it wouldn't arrive in time. A special mention to Samantha Traviña who went over and above to get these delivered to me in time, it's such a breath of fresh air and a rarity these days to receive good quality customer service.

My wife has reliably informed me that the popcorn she has tried so far is divine! I definitely gained some brownie points for this one 😁

I was looking for a rich 'smooth' sauce to pour over a banoffee liqueur homemade cheesecake. My normal go-to M&S luxury chocolate sauce wasn't available. So I spent a couple of days looking for a suitable alternative, and came across , Joe & Sephs brand for the first time.
And due to the good branding and description, I decided to purchase a jar.

Unfortunately, this purchase was a complete mistake, with relation to its described purpose a 'sauce'.
Its consistency was definitely not the definition of a sauce.
Sauces are fluid liquids or emulsions used pour,drizzle and to coat, while spreads are thick, paste-like, substances designed to be applied with a knife. Putting a spoon into a spread it will stand-up and not fall due to the thick consistency..with a sauce that is not possible (but it was with this).

This products whole formula/recipe either needs to be reviewed (of what it actually is between the 2 consistencies), or reworked has a recipe or branded as a spread due to it's thicker viscous texture.
Yes the taste was deep and very rich, but it's just not suitable for it's described purpose.

Unfortunately, this was a case of 'It doesn't do what it says on the tin'.

I have had this product before and enjoyed so bought several xmas sets as presents .We have not enjoyed them .The popcorn has all tasted too similar and was greasy with loads of unpopped kernels. Very disappointed and won't be purchasing again

Christmas calendar free cinema tickets expire after 4 weeks which is extremely disappointing, after Christmas and the new year pass by the time you get back to work and things settle down it's too late to use them

Got a Christmas calender with gourmet popcorn. I cannot recommend it at all. The popcorn were very soft and chewy. They were supposed to be crispy and delicious but only a few of the bags lives up to that.

All businesses can't operate at 100% all of the time and issues do and will happen. What makes a great business stand out, is what they do and how they deal with it, when issues do arise. I recently had a bad experience with Joe & Seph's popcorn, but I can honestly say the way that they dealt with it was exceptional. Their customer service, speed of response, sympathy for issue was second to none, hence the 5 star rating, which is thoroughly deserved.

I got a whole box for Christmas. Various flavours. It’s not of me. Every flavour just tasted of caramel. Looks fancy but very basic.

New to Joe and Sephs, saw them for sale on amazon and found the website. Lots of unique flavours of popcorn. I went through the sale section and bought several flavours as it was too difficult to just pick one. I have not got to a flavour yet that i do not like this will be my go to place for a yummy treat.

Had this advent calendar last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, which is why I bought another this year. However, all the popcorn is stale and chewy with no flavour. Extremely disappointed and have ended up throwing the rest of them away.

Purchased the advent calendar for my daughter, some bags are really gross and stale but just accepted it as she seems happy and didn't want to disappoint her. She really enjoyed the popcorn and due to an ongoing eating disorder this year was really happy to have found something she has been enjoying. Ordered her a tub of chocolate caramel sauce, on opening the bubble wrap I noticed the seal was broken so I opened the product and it looks like someone has taken a huge handful out! Gutted.

Bought the advent calendar. Absolutely dreadful. Every packet is stale a chewy. Their popcorn is normally good, but the mini bags in the calendars are terrible. Avoid.

I thought the giant cracker and baubles looked like a lovely gift for recipients via a charity I support but when they arrived - wow, I was blown away. They are far bigger than expected and should really make the recipients feel special.

In addition, the standard delivery time was tight for the cut off date (which was quite early in December to allow the charity to distribute) and Customer Service couldn't have been more helpful in reassuring me that it would be received in time. And it was :-)

Sooo disappointed with my advent calendar, I use Joseph's all the time and it's my go to cheat day snack! I am so saddened as my advent calendar so far, 8 days in has been disastrous. Every bag stale ...... disguisting - not edible at all. I paid so much for it to look forward to daily but it's been awful, just bog standard and I wish I never purchased this.
