I ordered from Kelly Obi NY twice in early 2024. It took about 3 weeks, but I received both items ( a sweatshirt and a necklace), and they were both of good quality. I guess I was lucky.

I ordered a dress last year November 2024 and never received it, I requested a refund through Instagram where I placed the order and never received it. its been many months of trying to get my money back with no resolution from them. They just stopped responding to my emails. It appears they may have gone out of business as their websites no longer exist. Avoid at all cost if you come across them on any other platforms!!!!

I ordered two pairs of shoes. The tabi ones in white and the other in silver and realized like months later I hadn’t received them. I had to go back and find the email thinking maybe I was tripping. It took a few months shy of a year to get a full refund. I’m reading now that I’m one of the lucky ones!

I purchased an item in November 2024 and it didn’t work for me. I was issued a gift card for my purchase. I have attempted to use it to purchase another item but their website would not accept it. I received an email saying they were going through difficulties and would deal my my issue. It’s been crickets since earlier this year. I want my money back at this point.,

Same story. Order a skirt in December. Order is cancelled and an email comes out saying there was a fire in their warehouse. Money is refunded and we are told to reorder. I do so, and nothing was ever shipped. Really sad and unfortunate.

Not sure what happened with this company. Initially they were so attentive amazing service, they must’ve changed ownership and management. My husband purchased a 100 gift card for me, I tried to use it and received an incorrect code error. I tried for several months to reach someone and get it rectified. Never received a return call or response to my email, Instagram message.. nothing!! It’s been 4 months now, still no answer! I will NEVER do business with them. Horrible experience!

Buyer beware. I placed an order back in February and I have not received my order as of today April 23. I’ve reached out several times via email only to receive an automated response I’m considering filing some sort of lawsuit. Please do not buy from this company.

I'm so disappointed in this company which obviously is a defunct company they have changed their name to something called Dua- m e n k a be aware they are the same people do not order from these people they are obviously bankrupt and have now changed their name and are up to their old scamming ways most likely. I ordered back in early February after I have been told they had a fire last year and lost all their inventory which now I don't believe I finally received one part of my order. Which was a camisole and shorts the matching jacket has not arrived and there is no status. I have reached out to ask but found out that email is no longer available. Upon trying to contact them online that page shows as an error and is no longer available. So I've now tried using the the help desk at the contact email address for dua menka.
Since this is supposedly their new company name I'm hoping that I will get something or I will have to take legal action as I suggest we all do because this is a shame that there are so many bad reviews that are stating the same issues of no response from customer service and no money back and no product delivered. This screams illegal scamming activity.

I wish I could rate -5!!!!! I have been reaching out to this company for over 3 months!!! No response nor my money!!! They gave an excuse of a fire that took place in one of their storage places. Where is my refund??? So thank goodness my nephew is an attorney because I’m suing them!!!!

Order came after 6 weeks, poor quality clothing.

I ordered over 2 months ago and there is no sign of anything arriving and my emails have been ignored.
Definitely do not bother buying from this brand- it's a waste of time and money.

I ordered from this store only to never receive my items. Then, I had to fight for for my refund which I did get but then Kelly Obi had the nerve to fight for MY money by lying to my bank and saying I had authorized the transaction which I had when I thought I was getting items in return!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!! It was a nightmare dealing with them and they stole 60$ from me!

Very Disappointed
Received email from the customer appreciation team on December 8, 2024 that my return request RMA5483256 for order #54173 had been submitted successfully. I would receive another email with further instructions…it now February 2025 and after numerous of emails requesting instructions to return customer service Never responded to my emails for a FULL REFUND.
Customers BEWARE!

Only received 1 of the 2 items I ordered. Sent an email to their customer care but no response. I want my money back, that’s stealing!.

They scammed me out of my money! I placed and order early December 2024 then a month later received an email with order cancelation and a statement from the owner or whoever runs that business that they had a warehouse fire bla bla bla and that they will refund me my money.! Guess what… no refund until today, no answers to my emails and I am left with a dent in my bank account due to these scammers! Shame on them. Don’t buy from these people

I gave one star only because zero wasn’t an option. It pains me to write this review, especially for a Black-owned business I’ve supported since its Souk & Sepia days—visiting the NYC shop, appreciating the quality and style, and standing by the brand through its challenges. I extended patience and grace, but that patience has run out. My orders were canceled with the promise of a refund that never came. The app wiped out my information, forcing me to re-register, and my emails go unanswered. When did ignoring customers become standard practice? Will the next step be yet another rebrand, another name, and more customers left in the dark? This is beyond disappointing—it feels like betrayal.

I ordered a skirt, it was nothing like how it was pictured. I chose a store credit instead of a return, ordered a sweatsuit set, got an email it was cancelled, and now I can't get any answer about my refund or a sales credit or anything. The website is half defunct. I'm out 100 bucks and there's zero way to contact them or get any answers? Look for the same items on Shein or Amazon, at least you won't get stiffed.

I've made a order of 2 dresses in September, 1 was for my birthday event October 24th, 2024.. I didn't receive the package until December I loved the pieces although was disappointed.. I placed a next order on January the 4th 2025.. only to receive my package with only 1 dress which I love but is too small and still haven't received the other dress and a pair off earrings the dress I've received is for $79.99 and the other dress is for $49.99 the earrings value $19.99 which I haven't received.. Kelly OBi I'm very disappointed in the way your business has been scamming people please go back to the drawing board and think about how you've sink your own ship..

I placed an order back on 1/11/25 and have not yet received my item or any response about when the item would arrive. I went back to the order page and now that page doesn't exist.I have emailed several times about a refund without any response. I wish I would have read the reviews ahead of time. This is poor business ethics. People work hard for their money and don't deserve to have it stolen from them. Please do not place an order with this company. They will take your money but you will not receive your items nor a refund. A scam indeed.

Orders placed since October 2024. No clothes, no refund. CEO made this big announcement regarding supply and that refunds would be initiated. Despite numerous emails, still nothing. Until this is resolved, please avoid. A shame because I love their clothes.
