I’ve used the Grand & Air for three…

I’ve used the Grand & Air for three months and it’s honestly the most functional bag I’ve owned. The interior is well thought out and everything has a place. It's a big step up from my previous bag where I lost a lot of time digging for cables or passports. Build quality feels solid, zippers are smooth so all in it's worth every penny.

Items not trackable and no response from customer service

12 days, no bag, no communication

- It's been 12 days since I ordered the bag,
- the subsequent email confirmation stated the bags are sent out within 24-48 hours with notification and
- shipping takes 5-12 business days

It's been 12 days since I ordered the bag (order number 6934 on 18 Nov) and have followed up via emails but there's been no response to my emails, no notification of the bags being shipped and no tracking information (if they were shipped).

This is very unprofessional and I am not sure if this is legit now.

Truly Disheartened and Deeply Disappointed After Waiting So Long

I'am honestly extremely upset writing this. I backed La Mansio’s Kickstarter because I believed in their vision and watched the roll out of the previous project. It seemed like the perfect work bag, I loved the practicality of it and the upgrades that were going to be made from the previous version. I waited months past the original delivery date, mine arrived about three months late, and I was so excited to finally receive it around my birthday.

The bag was marketed as a multifunctional “all-in-one” product, with the backpack function being one of its key advertised features. When I checked it properly, I realised the hardware for the backpack straps had been stitched in the wrong place. The bag cannot be used as a backpack without turning it upside down, which is not what was advertised and makes the product unfit for its intended purpose. It’s a manufacturing fault that affects the whole purpose of the bag. I contacted La Mansio expecting they would want to make this right. Instead, I was told that because I reported it outside their 30-day window, they wouldn’t replace it. It didn’t seem to matter that the fault is clearly a workmanship issue or that backers waited far beyond the original promised delivery date. Their “solution” was asking me to pay for a second bag, something I shouldn’t have to do because of their mistake.

What made it worse was being told that “18 of the 19 features still work,” as if I should just accept the defect and be happy with a bag that isn’t what I paid for. I found that really dismissive and upsetting. The part that hurts the most is that I will never use this bag now. It’s beautiful, but it just upsets me to look at it because it reminds me of how I was treated. Imagine putting your hard-earned money into a project you believe in, waiting all that time, being super excited and then being treated like you don't matter and told you basically have to live with a manufacturing fault.

As someone who also creates products myself, I could never dream of treating a customer like this, especially when the fault is so clearly not their doing.

I truly hope La Mansio reconsiders how they handle backers and takes accountability for quality issues. This experience has left a really sad and bitter taste after what should have been something joyful.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company! I repeat: do not buy from this company. This is a spam company… they know that a bank will process a charge and that if you don’t report it as fraud spam within 30 days then they get to keep the money and that is exactly what they intend to do: keep you entertained for 30 days until you no longer have the runway with your bank to reverse the charge. Details: I ordered a bag and asked them for shipping information (after the timeframe had passed in the original order email that said when the bag should arrive - I wanted visibility on the delay of the package and to update my expectations for when it should arrive) and they keep sending links that don’t have any clarity and have vague shipping/tracking details that can’t pinpoint where the package is or when it will arrive. If you’re lucky, they might respond to you via email, but will only send you more links that don’t work. I even received an automated email from them that said my package had shipped but when I followed up with their customer support manually via email, they told me that the package hadn’t shipped and my order was still in backlog… So then why did I get an automated email that said it had shipped? They wanted to ensure I stayed hanging on long enough for the window to pass of reporting a fraudulent charge with my bank.

First of all, there is no need for any bank disputes because we always make it simple for our customers to receive a refund. It's a straightforward email that they can send to us.

Reading your comment, our understanding is that you never reached out asking for a refund, nor that the 30 days have actually passed since you placed the order.

I kindly ask you to please email us because we cannot identify an order based on the information that you shared. Our customer support team will be happy to help you at every step.

If your parcel took longer than 5 days to be shipped out, that is most likely because it was a Pre-Order. When making a purchase, Pre-Orders are clearly identified starting with the actual button that you press to add the product to the cart stating that it is a Pre-Order. In addition, if it is that you opted for a Pre-Order, you would have benefited from the added discount that is applied visibly to those products.

We are always open to feedback and we are certain that visibility can be improved even further, so we kindly ask that you do reach out to our email support team.

When it comes to the shipping status, the first notification that you may have received is that of the shipping label being created and this may have caused part of the confusion. It's a normal initial process and the good news is that once this takes place, the order or pre-order is a few days away from being collected by the fulfillment company and flying out to you.

We apologise again if any of the Pre-Order steps were not as clear as they could have been, and we kindly ask you to understand that being a small team, it really is heartbreaking to read a comment like this that stays here forever and not being able to trace it back to a an open discussion so that we can have the opportunity to resolve it ahead of time.

We have always placed our customers first and we will always try to find solutions that make them happy with their choice of ordering a La Mansio bag.

I was lucky enough to receive it as a…

I was lucky enough to receive it as a gift and I was filled with joy to discover that although on the outside it looks quite minimalist, the inside is absolutely stuffed with pockets and modular possibilities. It was funny because my husband did his research very well and he was the one showing me all the things it can do. All in all, best bag I've ever owned... even if I didn't choose it myself!

One of the best decisions was to opt for the Mega Pack. It comes with the Multi Cube that I use to organize everything, depending on what I am doing that day. For example on weekends I do gigis photographings events and the Multi Cube is home to my camera and lens. Then when I travel I use it as my necessaire. Also highly recommend to get the Laptop case because it comes with extra pockets and can be used as a separate bag by attaching the straps.

My first bag arrived with a slightly misaligned shoulder strap pad. I emailed support and they replied the same day. They actually went above my expectations because they fixed my problem by not only sending me a new strap, but by offering a free upgrade to the Cloud pad that is larger and much more comfortable. Took the Grand on three flights and it…

Took the Grand on three flights and it fits under every seat, even on low-cost airlines. The interior pockets actually make sense. No rummaging. The zipper is sturdy enough to handle being stuffed with everything I need on a 36 hour trip. It’s my go-to travel carry now.

I’ve been using the Grand for 9 months…

I’ve been using the Grand for 9 months now, almost daily. The leather aged beautifully, no weird wrinkles and next to no scratches. Zippers still really well and the color of the metal teeth has not faded at all. Zero regrets. If you’re between different leather types, I suggest opting for the Saffiano because it's so low maintenance.

I had a sizing question before ordering and customer support replied within 2 hours, with photos and recommendations. Ended up choosing the Air bag which fits my 14 inch laptop perfectly. The bag feels thoughtfully engineered. You can tell the founders actually use their own products

The best cross functional work bag and great customer service

I've had my La Mansio since Sept 25 and used it every day for work since then. I commute via public transport so the functions available for shoulder bag to back pack to briefcase works well for the nature of my work. In October I had an issue with one of the zips breaking. I emailed the company and they were super responsive and offered me a replacement immediately along with a handy installation video! I've been nothing but impressed

This backpack is what I was looking for

I was looking for a backpack that was both elegant and practical, and the 2Face Backpack was exactly what I had in mind. This is actually my second purchase from La Mansió.
I really liked the style, design, and finishing — the quality, as always, is excellent. I also have to mention the packaging: it was very well done and protected the backpack perfectly.
The compartments are smartly designed and well positioned.
Overall, it was worth the wait. I’m really happy and satisfied with my purchase!

I already had one of the first…

I already had one of the first generation bags and because that model was not as well enforced as the later generations, the support team helped me out to get it fixed on the warranty, so then I was super excited to also order the Grand bag. It has a multiple additional features and you can really feel the improvements. Top!

amazing bag

I got it for my wife and despite being a bit worried because I had never seen the bag in real life, 6 months later and my wife is super happy!

Customer support was quick at responding, quality is better than expected and the zippers are really well polished so they are smooth on the laptop for example when you slide it in.

Zipper quality bad

I gifted the le mansio one to my partner. The bag is okay. But the zipper is faulty. If you add too heavy items for example Laptop and Tablet and some small daily items (pens, small notebook), the zipper teeth always opens back up which is super inconvenient. The zipper itself stays closed, but the zipper teeth open back up from the closure point onward. The zipper also sometimes randomly opens throughout the day, which makes it unusable. It seems that the quality of the zippers is horrendously, as this is not the only review mentioning this issue. For a bag of this price point, this is unacceptable. Sadly, there is also no answer if you contact customer service. Can't recommend the bag at all, alltough the idea is great, the execution is more than faulty.

Great customer service wins loyal customers

The bag is not well made. It looks beautiful but the stitching and some materials are shoddy at best. Not worth the money I paid for. I am trying to get in contact with manufacturers but couldn't find any emails or links. As of writing, one gold line from the bag logo has been detached, one hook for the shoulder strap detached (now i cant use as shoulder bag or backpack anymore). I regret buying this.

UPDATE as of March 2026: I am very much grateful to the team at La Mansio for hearing me out. They are truly listening to their customers and have proven that small brands are in touch with each and every one of their customers. I feel special and thankful. I am still getting to know my replacement bag and I hope this will last me a long time or even a lifetime. Again, thank you and good luck on your future projects.
