I would give zero.
Been just about to complete on a house this week and they have now had in excess of 1k and yep Monday with no warning they shut up shop no way to contact anyone to see what we can do about our move or how to get our money back. Absolute scumbags

Phoned 4 times for help after my Dad passed away and no one had the decency to get back in touch even though it was this form that sorted out his will. Would avoid as obviously don’t want work!

We have followed Stephanie Napier each time she has changed firms. She is our family solicitor and we would not go to anyone else. She is friendly, approachable and above all professional. She has been our family solicitor for at least twenty years. We have no hesitation in recommending her to others.

l am writing to share my deeply frustrating and ultimately triumphant experience with my niece's journey to obtaining British citizenship. The process was fraught with obstacles, particularly from social services, who consistently delayed and complicated matters. Obtaining even a simple document took months.

During this time, I was advised to seek legal counsel for my niece's application. Initially, I contacted Mergullaw, specifically Mr. Rauf, based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, the owner began our engagement with falsehoods; we had agreed on a Turkish-speaking lawyer who could understand me. Later, I was assigned to Mr. James, the most unprofessional and dishonest individual I have ever encountered. He consistently broke his promises, never adhering to scheduled appointments. Until the end of June 2024, I endured a relentless cycle of delays, lies, and deception. My repeated appeals to his manager and the owner of Mergullaw, Mr. Rauf, were equally unproductive. When I threatened to complain, Mr. Rauf explained Mr. James's situation, defended him, and asked me to be understanding. However, Mr. James was truly terrible in ways I couldn't comprehend. I kept asking myself, why would someone deliberately obstruct a process with such negativity and constant lies? The entire process, which should have been straightforward, was needlessly convoluted over 8.5 months, ultimately resulting in a negative outcome; the file was returned to the beginning. I still struggle to comprehend how anyone could be so deliberately obstructive. I keep asking, why? Had they invested even a fraction of their energy into genuine work, as Mrs. Dilan Kirdag does, the outcome would have been vastly different. They did not. This entire ordeal was incredibly draining and left me feeling hopeless. I will now complain about Mr. Rauf and entrust my experience with him to God. May he experience what I have, in a different way!

Thankfully, we were finally referred to Dilan Kirdag at Wilson Solicitors LLP. I had previously worked with Anita at Wilson Solicitors LLP, who was exceptionally professional, so I was hopeful. Mrs. Dilan proved to be a true beacon of hope. Where others created chaos, she brought clarity and order. She not only untangled the mess created by her predecessors with remarkable skill and precision but also navigated the complexities of the case with unparalleled expertise. I can’t stress enough how bad this company is.
This company and Lois Calder who is working for this company are acting for who we are buying a property from.
This company are preventing the sale completing due to negligence and incompetence with simple paperwork and simple tasks.
They fail to take identification to verify who the seller is which doesn’t match paperwork on land registry documents, this is gross misconduct at the very least.
They do not care about compliance and attention to details on important documentation to pass on to buyers solicitors.
This has caused us much distress and upset and potentially at this point loss of funds!
Please stay away from this company if you want a stress free property selling/ buying process.
This company really do not care about timescales and the importance of correct documentation.
Staff appear to have no experience with conveyance.
They have no care that they are messing with people’s lives
Lois Calder and Wilson’s are unprofessional, incompetent and do not follow correct procedures.
This company are already under investigation! Since found out
Please AVOID using this company, they do not deserve a license to practice.

Terrible if you want the real man in charge only happened at the end

Wilsons solicitor nearly cost us our entire house sale, avoid avoid avoid! Our buyer used this solicitor, they waited months and months with simply no responses or actions on the file. It is absolutely shocking that firms are allowed to run in this way. They sent the file to 'compliance' where it stayed for months on end, they proceeded to ask for various documents, of which they had had many weeks before. A total lack of ability to perform the most simple of tasks, let alone act as your solicitor in purchasing a house. Our buyer found a new solicitor, who completed everything within a week!!! We accepted our buyers offer in APRIL 2024 all documents were back and ready by the start of MAY. In OCTOBER 2024 they moved firms - totally inexcusable and shocking.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Do not use Wilson’s. Currently using them for a sale of a property to an investment firm. After weeks of chasing them they are still not progressing our sale forward. They rarely respond to emails, you have to do most of the chasing, or they just say things like, “that’s been passed on” - not very helpful. They also said proof of funds check would take 48 hours, 3 weeks later we’re still here, no further forward. If anyone suggests you use Wilson’s, don’t. The stress this is causing is a horrible experience for me and my partner and is down to their incompetence and lack of progressing this through. If the property was a 7-figure sum I’m sure they would be pulling out all the stops to get it done.
Avoid at all costs, unless you want to do the work yourself.

These worked for the purchasers of my property and there was no contact from James for over a month. When we tried to contact him apparently he doesn’t take calls?!? So it’s emails but he doesn’t respond.
Disgusting messing with people’s lives! Got all the proof before you start to say this is a lie!

The Property Buying Company used Wilsons to do the legal work for the purchase of our house and they were very good. Quick with all that needed to be done. Always there for us. And very good at chasing up not so efficient third parties. Thanks to all their that helped us with our sale.

About 2 months ago, after seeing the wrong information on a copy of the AML Search for me which I received from the Complaints Handler at the firm in Ilkley, I wrote asking for confirmation that the wrong information had been fed into the Anti-Money-Laundering Search (the AML for me), thus delaying and complicating the conveyancing Wilsons (Ilkley) carried out for me. I received no reply to my request. I then wrote to ask if a reply would be forthcoming. No reply to date. This lack of communication can be for any reason but it seems to me suspiciously like confirmation the staff at Wilsons did cock up.
