My wife submitted a bid on a property and for the whole day only the virtual assistant has been answering calls. Poor, very poor!

For a business whose stated aim is to sell property, Leadenhall Estates have a strange way of treating prospective buyers. I have yet to speak to anyone who works there, despite weeks of trying. Telephone lines are constantly busy. After interminable holds you are connected to the virtual assistant, who is a model of politeness. She takes your message and promises to pass it on to the "right person". And that's it. Fifteen calls over two frustrating weeks, a dozen messages left, and nothing. Diddly squat. Absolutely no attempt made to reply. Given this studied level of disinterest in the business of doing business I'm beginning to suspect it might be a front for something completely different.

I just purchased my first home. I would like to say a big Thank You to the Leadenhall team especially Chris DuPreez. She was very helpful with her communication updates, email and phone call follow-ups and this made the entire process so seamless and reassuring. Highly recommended!

They have advertised a house that is not for sale. Today 2 people have knocked to my door stating they have booked viewing, showing me the advert and booking confirmation from this agency.
Hovever this agency has nothing to do with my house, the house is not for sale at all.

UPDATE: I have officially found out the agent had allowed me and many other viewers to view a property which had already been sold by a completely different estate estate company. (They was trying to get a higher offer, to then tell the seller to withdraw from the current sale). AVOID.

The agency is by far the most unprofessional i have every dealt with, from the moment they pick up the phone.
Saw a property which i was interested, the viewing was organised and i attended. The estate agent had absolutely no idea about the property and could not answer basic questions so it seems they contract out their work. Shock.
A day later, i decided to put in a offer. They eventually put it to the vendor after chasing multiple times and told me to they wanted a higher offer, so i did. Second time round i was left waiting for an update so eventually had to chase to hear the guy on the phone say "i haven't spoken to them but they want a higher offer"... which makes no sense???
So i provided one last offer, to then find out they removed the property from the market completely with no communication. FYI the property had its price changed 6 times over the last 6/7 months, so it was already looking dodgy from the start but i thought id give them the benefit of the doubt.

To avoid headache, avoid at all costs as they are incredibly unserious and clearly do not care about making sales.

My experience with this agency has been nothing short of terrible from start to finish.

The customer service is appalling. I was asked to provide various details before anyone would even speak to me, only to receive a call the next day asking what I wanted in the first place. It then took three days for them to offer me a time to view the property. Throughout the process, I got the clear impression that my request to view was an inconvenience rather than part of their job.

I travelled a 9-hour round trip from Cardiff to Manchester for the viewing, only to discover that another interested party had been booked in for the same time slot. It created a very uncomfortable atmosphere and felt completely unprofessional.

The person showing the property knew almost nothing about it, not even how long it had been on the market and told me to “call the office” for answers.

After making an offer, I was informed that there was a supposedly higher offer of £331,500 (above the £325,000 asking price) and was asked to counter. The next day, the property was relisted as “offers over £330,000,” which makes me seriously question the honesty and ethics of this agency. If there was genuinely a higher offer already, why raise the asking price afterward? Additionally, I didn’t think estate agents were allowed to inform potential buyers of the specific figures bid by other people without their permission.

It’s now been over a week since my offer, and I’ve still heard nothing back but will assume it’s been rejected since it’s been re-listed at a higher value.

Overall, this agency has shown a complete lack of professionalism, communication, and respect for potential buyers. Avoid them at all costs - whether you’re buying or selling, they clearly don’t value your time, your custom, or a fair outcome.

I've sent an offer at the asking price to buy a house through the agency. Over 24 hours later I called them again asking about updates just to be told that the owner had rejected it because they’d supposedly JUST had received another offer £15k higher.

The next day, the property was still listed for sale but now with the price increased by exactly £15k. Which gave us the impression that there was never another offer. Not sure what they were trying to achieve with that, but it was super frustrating for us.

The worst estate agency! Avoid at all costs. They’re a complete waste of time! I booked a viewing and no one showed up, I called and was told they’re running late, waited half an hour and gave them another call, this time someone else picked up saying they have no information but they will get back to us!
No one ever did, so we ended up calling them again, they acted as if this wasn’t reported before, huffing and puffing and cutting me off and asking if I just wanted to book another viewing or not. Really unprofessional and rude customer service. But really liked the houae so we ended up booking another viewing, and again no show! Just on the phone to them again, and exact same behaviour! Never again!

Awful company , terrible communucation, short and cant be bothered attitude when on the phone and by email. From 22 May to 12th August too many cooks all trying to do the same thing but no communucation between themselves. They caused so much stress for buyer and seller alike , avoid at all costs .

They need to have an acceptable polite person on the end of the phone who doesnt sigh when you ask a question and communicate fully. The solicitor for leadenhall gave wrong info about the property they were selling and gave info about a different property. All i can say now is that they need to have people who know how to do the job to prevent their seller and buyer from so much stress .

Don't book viewings with this company, they don't show up.

Call their customer services line and you will see how unprofessional they are.

Had a viewing booked in and no one turned up. They love to waste your time.

Had approached them for buying a property. Since they had literally no other listings around our area and not considered a main stream real estate agent, was expecting good customer service. Everything seemed to be okay initially from arranging viewing and talking to the agent. Things took a U turn when the property owner talked directly to us, as she was there to show us the property during our viewing. They turned down our offer and we had to chase them on phone to revise the offer. But they refused and said the owner had already accepted another offer. But clearly that was not true. This happened weeks ago and the property is still listed and unsold in their website and right move as well. Clearly they were hiding something and did not like us talking to the vendor directly. The property would have been long sold if it was to be dealt by main stream real state agents like KT or BFL. I really wish the vendor had gone for a good estate agent and we would have bought ourselves our dream house. Anyways whats done is done. Would steer clear of them and wouldn’t recommend them to the greatest of enemies..🙏

Excellent service from start to finish with all involved

The team were fantastic and helped progress a tricky sale through. We are delighted in our new home and completed in three months, thanks to their help.

Swift communication between vendor, agent and myself. Little hard to get through on the phone sometimes however they do have properties listed across the UK. All positive thus far.

The whole process was incredibly smooth with the team. They arranged my viewing promptly, and once I submitted my offer, they responded without delay. Unfortunately a house that I would have liked to see was listed with these time wasters. Agreed with other post totally rude no professionalism you call some number the woman said she has nothing to do with that property its someone called Matthew no surname no contact details I gave my name number email she said he might contact me today despite chasing it up no contact ever made by a Matthew at Lendenhall Colchester for a viewing when I asked for a phone number to try and phone this Matthew as I've not heard from him I'm told he has no phone number !!!!. What kinda of cowboy outfit is this makes you wonder if the listing are real and if they are does the vendors know how useless rude and incompetent they are there are only 5 properties listed on there site and they can't even manage a phone call to arrange a viewing this has to be the worst estate agents ever even if you get a bad one they can arrange viewing I see they but on there website the are part of the housing ombudsman scheme people should write and complain to them it's frustrating when you're a serious buyer and the agent is so utterly useless and incompetent avoid avoid avoid if you are serious about selling your property
