Leaders - Felixstowe Reviews 

Reviews are a big influence for potential customers and a major reason not to use new services or trades if reviews are negative.

I have also been dealing with Leaders for many years and yes things have gone wrong and I’m not always patient or understanding when issues arise or situations are not resolved how I would expect.

All this said these are a plc who are of many people of different backgrounds and walks off life.

I find them always polite, positive and respectful, it’s so easy to be patronising or belittling but as a branch I feel this is a hard branch to find fault in.

Well done Felixstowe and please continue as usual.

I was issued with a section 21 after 16 years of renting & being a decent tenant. During this time the property had never been refurbished (The landlord is now refurbishing the place & increasing the rent, which means Leaders gets more commission).
I had a battle getting my deposit back. Leaders stated in an email I didn't need to repaint the property. The landlord disputed this & wanted to deduct money off my deposit for this & some other unreasonable claims given that the flat was filthy when I moved in. To begin with I didn't even get part of my deposit back, which I should have done. I was told by Leaders that in order to get my desposit back I would have to go through the deposit protection company where my deposit was held. However, when I made enquiries with the deposit protection company as stated on my tenancy agreement, it transpired they did not have a record of my deposit being protected by them. Neither did the other deposit protection agencies. 2 months after moving out the landlord agreed to give me back the total of my deposit, and it would seem that this was only because my deposit had not been lawfully protected.
For some reason the landlord wanted to pay back my money by cheque. To begin with I was told by Leaders that I would have to go into their estate agents to collect the cheque (I now do not live in the area). Eventually they posted the cheque to me. Then of course I had to pay the cheque in to my account, hoping it wouldn't bounce (it didn't) . Later Leaders emailed to say that I had over-paid some rent. They asked for my bank details so they could pay this into my account. When I moved out a requirement from Leaders was to provide bank details on an A4 sheet of paper along with other personal information. Therefore it seems as though Leaders had lost this information. After chasing up on 3 occasions I eventually had this money paid into my account - almost 3 months after leaving the property. If a tenant didn't pay their rent after this amount of time I can't imagine that Leaders would be happy. Whilst I appreciate that my ex- landlord was partly to blame for these issues, I felt Leaders working on behalf of the landlord were very unorganised. The only reason why they deserve one star is because they behaved in a polite way throughout the times I had dealings with them. But then, so did I, and sometimes I feel I had grounds to really rant (which I didn't)!

We had an excellent customer service from Leaders, throughout 6 months. We were supported by Liz Armstrong who cared about the service she was providing and gave us personal, dedicated attention. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she often intervened with solicitors on our behalf. Absolutely first class and we are so very grateful. Thank you

Honest, open, knowledgeable and does what she says she is going to do when she says she will do it. Fantastic service so far.

Having been a client of Leaders since it took over responsibility for the Felixstowe agency ( many years) I am appalled by the total incompetence and ineptitude I have experienced in the past few months . This incompetent agency has cost me a considerable amount . I will never recommend them. Avoid!

Phil Peartree from Leaders in Felixstowe, is honestly the best Agent to go to if you want honest professional sound advice from someone people who knows all there is to know about buying and selling. Right from the start nothing was too much trouble, it was a tricky purchase but Phil 'held my hand' all the way through, I could not recommend him highly enough.
