Leaders - Hitchin Reviews 

Currently in a dispute with Leaders of Hitchin regarding purchasing items for a rental property at the direction of their own employee (not the first time this has happened) Only to be told after the fact they will not honour this and now they are ignoring us and avoiding our calls. We are out of pocket with considerable financial difficulties at the hands of this team and their immoral and unethical attitude towards resolving this issue has caused significant upset and stress.

This is just one thing in an endless line of errors made by this team - it’s shocking how terrible they are at their jobs.

If I have the opportunity to make Leaders my life estate agent, I will do so because their service was tested and trusted. Hitchin branch office manager Paula D'cruze is humble, and her commitment to her job is not negotiable. Ellie Barnes Mortimer and every other staff contributed greatly to make sure that I enjoyed my tenancy period.

I've dealt with a lot of letting agents during my search for a flat and managed to arrange a viewing for one with Leia at Leaders. I expressed an interest in a property that I believe I was the first to view, and asked about the next steps and was told scheduled viewings were being honoured which was fair.

Did not hear anything back other than to be sold their tenancy insurance and when I asked for a timeline I got no response. Even called the office and was told Leia would get back to me but never got a follow up.

Saw today that the property has been let. I have no issues with the flat being let since I understand that that is up to the landlord but the lack of communication other than to push insurance is frustrating. Please do better.

There have been several moments with this agency where i believe they have been acting illegally.

I shant provide information on all of the disasters, but will provide you with one...

On several occasions, Leaders have used my rent payments to pay other invoices (gardening is the example here) all without my knowledge or permission.

I'm still trying to resolve payment issues with them but their team are just awful!

I’m not one to write reviews however my experience has been so stressful and emotionally draining over a sustained period of time I felt compelled to share. I’ve been waiting and chasing for 7 months for a root cause to be identified and my property to be repaired following continuous issues and leaks from a property above me managed by leaders. I have been living with extensive mould during this time. The communication has been terrible, I’ve been acting like a project manager between tenants, the landlady, the property management contact and the contractors and it’s still not resolved. It’s been such a frustrating and draining experience I would not recommend

Alex and the team were faultless in helping our family secure a rental property in Hitchin, which proved perfect for our parents who were moving into the area. Communication was clear, arrangements were all very straightforward, and Alex in particular was as practical as he was helpful/supportive in making all arrangements. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending both Leaders as an agency, and Alex personally as an agent-thank you all for your efficiency.

Alex was a very personable, efficient young man, very good and informative, he had done his homework on the area. Will definitely use again if my circumstances change

The best Estate Agent I have ever came across ,very friendly and very professional , Alex and Leia kept us informed through out the process ,very responsive to emails and phone calls and were there for when we had any questions. we got moved into the new flat very quickly and with no issues. They both went above and beyond and were very supportive throughout the whole process , I would highly reccomend thank you so much 😊😊

Alex from Leaders was excellent from beginning to end, he got me in super quickly to view the property for myself after viewing on the 360 (also a great perk!) very responsive to emails and questions and made my moving in experience so quick & easy! I spoke with other members on the Team in Leaders too who checked in on me throughout, great team work and you can tell they really care about their clients. Would 100% recommend Leaders!

My viewing was perfect, Alexander gave us excellent service and answered every question we had, he was very friendly and helpful, explained everything we needed to know and helped me see the bigger picture with the property and is one of the reasons I will definitely be making an offer - Tyler

+cleaned well before moving
+ better house prices compared to others
+ Alex was good at his job.

-Membership is bit expensive with no actual benefits. But you get no deposit option.
-You have to insure the house that you don’t own
-no help contacting owner regarding energy schemes.

Leaders in Hitchin is one of the best agency experience I've had till now! They were always understanding and prompt when communicating with them.

I communicate with the agents in the Hitchin branch, they are always prompt and helpful. Finding my current home during the height of the pandemic, which was challenging, Patrycja found ways to make it seemless. Patrycja has been extremely helpful. I recently met Amy, who was punctual, friendly and polite.

We had booked to view a house which on viewing wasn't right for us. Helen (showing us around this property - from Leaders) took the initiative to show (online) us another property, nearby, in our budget. We booked in for a viewing a few days later and it was perfect for us.

We are now week 3 living in the property and love it. Both myself and my partner have said we've never slept so well before in our lives. Must be the right home for us.
