I am absolutely appalled by my latest experience with Leeds Private Hospital. Just when I thought my treatment by this hospital could not get any worse, today’s response to my formal complaint has left me utterly disgusted.

What concerns me most is not simply the disappointing surgical outcome, but the attitude towards a patient who has been left dealing with serious ongoing problems more than a year later.

The hospital acknowledged my formal complaint which had seven specific concerns and promised to investigate them individually under their complaints procedure.

On the final date Instead of providing meaningful answers, I have now received a response that has nothing to do with the concerns I raised

How can a hospital claim to take patient complaints seriously when it appears unwilling to address the actual issues being raised?

I have also been attempting to obtain my complete medical records since January 2026. The continued failure to provide all the outstanding documentation only adds to my frustration and loss of confidence.

I have read other British one-star reviews of Leeds Private Hospital, and in my experience, the concerns expressed in those reviews ring disturbingly true. I cannot verify every other patient’s circumstances, but the similarities to my own experience are deeply troubling.

I would urge anyone considering this hospital to look beyond the positive ratings and read the negative accounts carefully.

A hospital should be judged not only by the results it achieves when everything goes well, but by how it treats patients when things go wrong.

In my experience, Leeds Private Hospital has failed that test spectacularly. Yet again they have not even followed their own complaints procedure

I deeply regret trusting this hospital with my surgery. I never imagined that seeking private treatment could leave me feeling so let down, distressed and powerless.

If you are looking to be booked in quickly for surgery and are prepared to take the chance that everything will go well, this hospital may appeal to you.

However, if you are concerned about what happens when things go wrong, how complications are managed or the process for revision surgery, I would urge you to think very carefully before making your decision.

I felt completely looked after from the start to finish. I spent a lot time thinking about getting my buccal fat removed,I always thought my lower cheeks looked round in pictures no matter how much weight I lost. I was nervous about surgery since it was on my face,but meeting Dr Fas Arshad at Leeds hospital put me completely to ease. He was honest ,kind and patient ,he didnt try to oversell me on anything and made sure the result would look natural as I get older. if you are considering nose surgery but want to avoid downtimes or noticeable external scars, i cannot recommend the endoscopic technique at Leeds private hospital. during my initial constitution. , the surgeon explained how the endoscope provides direct magnified visualization of the deep nasal framework.
my actual downtime was surprisingly manageable, very little bruising around the eyes, no external cut and minimal post-optenderness. the profile refinement looks completely harmonious with my face. a master class in modern, minimal invasive surgery.

I paid £20,000 for surgery at Leeds Private Hospital with Dr Fas Arshad in August 2025. More than 13 months later, my complaint remains unresolved.

I believe the lower blepharoplasty and fat transfer I paid for were not performed. The clinic says they were. I dispute that, and the explanations I have received have changed.

This is not simply about being unhappy with how I look. It is about whether I received the surgery I paid for, the information given to me before surgery and the accuracy of my records afterwards.

After a lengthy operation under general anaesthetic, I spent the night in the theatre because there were no hospital beds available.

The promised surgeon reviews at 4, 12 and 26 weeks never happened.

My email asking who will conduct the Stage 2 review of my complaint has also gone unanswered.

If you have experienced similar problems, please report your own experience to the CQC, which oversees providers’ complaints systems. Serious concerns about a doctor’s honesty or professional conduct can also be raised with the GMC.

I want a proper investigation and clear answers about every procedure I paid for.

More than a year after surgery, I should not still be chasing them.

7 months posts op breast augmentation
I am now 7 months Post op from my breast surgery and couldn't be happier with the outcome.The guidance I received during the initial consultation was a very helpful to determine what i wanted. Doctor and the team were fantastic on the day of surgery, and the follow up appointment ensured recovery was steady and stress free.

I had a rhinoplasty surgery conducted around about 3 months ago, and very recently I enquired about a question I had, the team was so responsive and my experience, overall has been splendid, so timely, professional and reassuring

The doctors were sincere and cooperative and the hospital provided a warm environment with outstanding facilities.

I had gotten a surgery about 8 months ago and am very happy with how it turned out, it was superb, from the consultation, the follow ups all the way through to the appointments! The communication was clear and realistic, the team was reassuring and attentive throughout.

I underwent rhinoplasty at Leeds Private Hospital in January 2026. It is now September and, following a formal complaint regarding a number of aspects of my experience which I do not feel appropriate to disclose publicly, I am still without a final response or resolution.

I deliberately avoided posting publicly because I wanted to give the hospital every reasonable opportunity to address my concerns privately through its formal complaints procedure. I am also deliberately not naming individual members of staff or detailing my underlying concerns publicly, as I have consistently tried to resolve this appropriately and directly with the hospital.

My complaint has progressed through the hospital’s complaints process and reached senior management. Following a management meeting, I was expressly told that I would receive the final outcome by Monday 21st September. This was not the first management discussion or the first response timeframe I had been given.

Monday passed without the promised outcome. Since then, I have emailed twice and telephoned the hospital directly, but I remain without the final response or an explanation for the further delay. My latest correspondence remains unanswered.

This follows previous occasions where stated response timeframes were not met, including one which the hospital subsequently acknowledged and apologised for in writing.

The process has been incredibly exhausting and distressing. After months of trying to resolve matters privately and allowing the hospital repeated opportunities to conclude its own process, I feel I have exhausted the reasonable avenues available to me directly and have therefore had to pursue the appropriate independent external routes.

My personal experience of the hospital’s complaint handling has been extremely poor and, given my overall experience, I genuinely wish I had done considerably more research before choosing Leeds Private Hospital for my surgery.

I remain willing to engage constructively with the hospital and will update this review if there are any material developments.

I wanted to share my experience with Dr Arshad, because I genuinely feel exceptional care deserves to be recognised.

From my very first consultation, Dr Arshad made me feel completely at ease. He listened carefully to what I wanted, explained everything clearly and never made me feel rushed or pressured. I wanted a natural result and, most importantly, I wanted to feel that I could trust the person performing my surgery. I absolutely felt that with him.

What has impressed me just as much as his surgical skill is the way he treats his patients. His kindness, patience and genuine concern have continued throughout my recovery. When you have major facial surgery, there are moments when you can feel worried and vulnerable, and having a surgeon who is there to reassure you and genuinely cares about your recovery means everything.

His care has been exemplary, both before and after my surgery.

I’m still early in my healing journey, so my final results are still to come, but I already feel incredibly grateful that I chose Dr Arshad.

I have waited a long time before writing this review. My wife underwent major facial surgery at Leeds Private Hospital nearly a year ago, and I genuinely hoped that by waiting there would eventually be a positive outcome. Unfortunately, after watching everything she has been through, I now feel I should share my own experience. Her surgery date was 03/10/25

The hospital itself is lovely, in an excellent location and has the potential to be an outstanding private facility. Unfortunately, in my opinion, that is badly let down by the professionalism, communication and management when things do not go as expected.

I attended my wife’s latest appointment with Dr Arshad. What concerned me most was not simply his opinion of the surgical result, but how quickly he seemed to move on from the concerns she was trying to raise. He told us that she’d had a good result, but we felt spoken over and unheard. We had gone there looking for answers and reassurance about the laxity and fullness in her neck, not simply to be told that the surgeon was happy with the outcome.

I have also found the contradictory information extremely frustrating. Expectations about when my wife’s continuing concerns would be properly reassessed have changed from around 12 months to around 18 months. When someone has already spent almost a year waiting and hoping for improvement, moving the goalposts does little to inspire confidence.

The complaints process has added considerably to my frustration. There have been lengthy waits and missed timescales, yet after all the time and effort my wife has spent pursuing her concerns, it has felt as though very little has actually been achieved.

My advice to anyone considering treatment is to look beyond the marketing and ask detailed questions about how postoperative complications and concerns are managed, what support is available if things do not go to plan, and how complaints are dealt with.

For major private surgery, professionalism should extend far beyond the operating theatre. Patients should receive consistent information, appropriate aftercare and, above all, feel that they are being listened to when they raise genuine concerns.

It is a great shame. Leeds Private Hospital has the surroundings and potential to be an excellent private hospital, but in our experience the way difficulties have been handled afterwards has completely overshadowed those positives.

Very disappointing Rhinoplasty consultation experience today.
I booked a consultation with the surgeon at Leeds Private Hospital online and paid £250 for the appointment. The website gave me three options: a free telephone consultation with the practice manager, a free face-to-face consultation with the practice manager, or a £250 consultation with the surgeon. I specifically chose and paid for the £250 surgeon consultation.
My appointment was booked for 12:30pm. I arrived on time, completed the consultation form provided by reception and returned it promptly. I was then left waiting until well after 1pm. I appreciate that appointments can sometimes run late, but patients also have their own commitments and cannot always wait indefinitely.
When I was eventually taken into a consultation room, I was surprised to find that the person meeting me was not the surgeon. She apologised for being late but did not introduce herself or explain her role. I immediately explained that I had booked specifically to see the surgeon. I was told that the surgeon would see me afterwards, but that never happened.
She asked what I was unhappy with about my nose, so I explained my concerns and showed her a photograph of the type of result I was hoping for. She told me this was not achievable because I have thick skin. She then explained what she believed I would need and, when I asked about the cost, gave me a price of £12,000.
What I found particularly upsetting was the way the conversation came across. I was left with the impression that I would somehow be wasting the surgeon's time and that, because I did not currently have the full £12,000 available, it was not considered worthwhile for me to see him. While this may not have been said to me in those exact words, that was very much how the conversation and overall experience made me feel.
I contacted Leeds Private Hospital afterwards to explain how unhappy I was. I specifically raised the fact that the website did not make it clear that I would first be seeing someone other than the surgeon. I asked who the person was, as she had never introduced herself or explained her position, and I was told that she was the practice manager.
This was particularly frustrating because I had deliberately chosen the £250 surgeon consultation rather than either of the free practice manager consultations. Ultimately, I paid £250 to see a surgeon and never saw the surgeon at all.
To be fair, the reception member I spoke to was apologetic, and I cannot fault the reception staff. I would also like to mention Lola, who took my photographs and morphed the images, as she was pleasant and professional.
I was subsequently told that my £250 consultation fee would be refunded, although the refund is currently still pending.
There was also another issue that I found extremely concerning. When I received the consultation paperwork by email, it stated: "Proposed surgery date: 2 October 2026." I had never agreed to this date. I had only attended a consultation and had not agreed to proceed with surgery. I also do not currently have the full amount available, so I certainly had not agreed to a surgery date.
Overall, I paid £250 specifically for a consultation with the surgeon and did not receive the service I had booked and paid for. I left feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable about the way the appointment was handled.
I hope the hospital reviews how these appointments are presented to patients, particularly making it completely clear who the patient will actually be seeing, what the £250 consultation includes, and ensuring that proposed surgery dates are not recorded without the patient's agreement.
Based on my experience today, I cannot recommend this service and therefore I am leaving 1 star.

I am now 2 weeks post-op from my rhinoplasty with Dr Fas Arshad and I have no regrets whatsoever. I picked the best rhinoplasty surgeon who is surrounded by brilliant medical professionals at Leeds Private Hospital.

I am absolutely over the moon with my results. Dr Arshad listened to everything I wanted to change and he achieved those changes for me. Keeping in mind it has only been 2 weeks, so there is still swelling, but even with the swelling I can already tell he has done everything I wanted. I didn't just have a little change either, it was a whole reshape, and I couldn't be happier with how it is looking already.

The hospital itself is lovely, very clean, and all of the staff are so welcoming and caring.

Sommiya, the Hospital Director, is just lovely and has the warmest, kindest personality. She really put me at ease and answered every question I had. Even now, she is still there to answer any questions that come up, at any time of day, which has been so reassuring.

The anaesthetist, Dr Hythem Shoeib, was amazing. His voice was the last voice I heard before going under and the first voice I heard when I came back around. He has such a lovely bedside manner and made me feel completely at ease.

My post-op nurse, Dimple, was delightful. She is such a sweet nurse and I'm pretty sure I was being a bit of a pain while the anaesthetic was still hanging on, so she was clearly very patient with me! She looked after me so well and was also the nurse who took my cast off after one week.

Scarlet was one of the nurses with me in theatre and I remember her being so sweet while getting me ready and when I was waking back up. She also took my stitches and splints out after 2 weeks and was so gentle and caring throughout.

From the surgeon to the hospital and the whole team who looked after me, I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm only 2 weeks into my recovery, but I am already so happy with my results and so glad I chose Dr Fas Arshad and Leeds Private Hospital.
