The application process was fast and easy, and I got a much better rate by refinancing one of my student loans. When I did reach out via email, they replied in a prompt matter. Great experience overall!

After 13 years or so trying to refinance my private student loans, I was finally given the opportunity with LendKey! I used credible.com, and helped me through this experience that led me to LendKey! Such a wonderful experience and I’m so thankful and extremely grateful that I can now start to work on the next chapter in life and steps to providing more for my daughter and reach our next goal to move out of our 1 bedroom apartment and into a house! I’m so appreciative, excited, and overjoyed with my experience, more companies should show more compassion like LendKey to help give others’ opportunities instead of knocking each other down with no way of prospering!

Simple, easy, clear process. No tricks where they deny after they have approved. Very helpful and straightforward. Great to not have to use Co-signers. Highly recommend.

I applied for forbearance of my student loan due to medical bills arising from a NICU stay. I provided all documentation and budget as requested. They took nearly a month to respond. They asked for a paystub from me, which I don’t have due to being a stay at home mom. I told them that via email, twice, and also through a phone call asking to verify if they needed documentation of my stay at home status. They ignored my emails and the service agent seemed just as confused as I was, and not helpful in the situation. I provided my husbands stubs to document what income I was living off of. They then denied my application saying it was incomplete.

Would not have been a problem if they would have been in touch with me BEFOREHAND to simply answer my questions and let me know what they needed. They ignored my email. When I again wrote an email to complain, they ignored it as well.

I am now back to square one to submit a forbearance request and wait an entire month for it to process.

Funny that their reply is to contact them, as if I haven’t already tried that multiple times. Lol. Thanks I’m not in the mood to talk to a disinterested employee or write another email to nowhere. Did a robot write that? I think the customer service at this place is run by an AI.

The number of installments was significantly reduced, without increasing the monthly payment amount.

I applied to refinance private student loans and was offered a good rate at 4.49% with conditional approval based on my income. I submitted W2s, payslips, and offer letter that captured 8,000 more than the threshold required for the loan. I also had my Dad as cosigner.

They rejected me because they did not include my On-call stipend of 8,000. But notwithstanding that, my base+location differential in my offer letter is exactly the threshold but for some reason the rate on my pay stubs net a mere $78 deficit for the year. 6 figure income and they were going g to deny me over an apparent $78 shortage while overlooking the $8,000 on-call revenue which is guaranteed.

I thought, no problem, I will send you pay stubs from my part-time job at Target which will clearly bridge the $78 made up deficit. They denied that as well.

In hindsight, what I've realized is LendKey is not a legitimate lender like ELFI or RISLA. This was a classic BAIT AND SWITCH designed to lure you in and stick you with less favorable terms. If this is how they handle the approval process, I wonder what nefarious practices lie in store for those that get approved. MY ADVICE IS TO STEER CLEAR OF LENDKEY.
