Predatory Company with Unjust Policies and Procedures
I have 3 separate student loans through LendKey, and I have had difficulties with them from the beginning. First, they did not want to approve me without a cosigner despite my providing supporting documentation of my income (I suppose this should have been my first red flag). Now, in my repayment period it's gotten even worse. I have only been able to secure part time employment since graduating and am unable to make full payments. I have applied for forbearance 3 separate times, only to be denied despite more than enough supporting evidence. They make everything so complicated that I'm sure most people give in or give up. I can't believe that Navy Federal has partnered with a company that has such unjust practices. I regret ever taking a single cent from these people, and I tell everyone to stay away.

Absolutely waste of my time. I submitted legitimate documentation of everything and they kept denying each piece of submission. then one rep said I can upload an expired id since I am waiting for my id to come in the mail from the state. after almost 2 weeks of applying to the loan I end up calling again and then i get told they deny my application altogether when I am a contract employee. I am trying to refinance a student loan of $6,000. The original is amount is $8,500. I made some payments on it through sallie mae over the years. i got denied by Lendkey because I am a contract employee. I make $1,400 after taxes every single week because I get paid hourly. after submitting so much personal and confidential information on their website it took me having to call just so they can tell me i was denied. LENDKEY IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT AS "REAL" EMPLOYMENT THEN STATE THAT ON YOUR WEBSITE. DON'T WASTE PEOPLES TIME. I CAN EASILY MAKE THE PAYMENTS MAKING $1,400 every week. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LENDKEY TO ANYONE.

Terrible experience
I asked Lendkey change my due date which they did. I was given an effective due date only to have them change it online after the fact making it impossible for me to pay it without late fees. When I called and explained that they had made the mistake and that it wasn't fair to me, they said there's nothing we can do about it you just have to pay it or get late fees. I 100% regret refinancing my student loans with lendkey. Why am I being punished for a mistake that they made when they gave out false information

Never thought I would want to say something positive about a student loan servicer!
I’ve had so many servicers over the years for my student loans (Sallie Mae, Navient, Wells Fargo, FirstMark…) that have ranged from truly awful to just ok, but I have never had a company before that I wanted to take the time to write a good review for. Besides getting a way lower rate and saving a bunch of $ on my refinance, I can honestly say that LendKey is the only company that I have ever felt are truly trying to help the borrower. From the beginning, everyone I have spoken with has been so nice and helpful…and when I had a small issue with changing the auto-debit date on my account because of a recurring computer glitch, the rep who was helping me (Crystal) was so accessible and didn’t stop until she got everything set totally right for me. It’s unique just to be able to reach the same person right away at a loan company, let alone have them really be on top of your case without having to chase them down or remind them. Overall, I’m just really impressed with these guys, and particularly the customer service, which is something I never thought I would feel for a loan servicer!
