Linen Chest is one of the worst companies for customer service. They do NOT have a customer service telephone, you can only chat with BOT, they do not allow private messages through social media channels and they have set it up so a Google Review cannot be written. I find it quite insulting when a company does not want to offer proper customer service. Shame on them. That is how you have lost me as a customer, by making me feel that I am not valued.

I recently wrote about the duvet that I ordered from the Linen Chest. It was delivered and smelled absolutely disgusting - my housekeeper described it as smelling like "cockroaches". The sheets smelled, too. I thought the smell was incredibly moulding and pungent, like everything had been stored in a dirty, damp warehouse. Well, no one seems to care enough to help me. While I did receive an email over a week later from someone in the customer service department that they'd "be glad to help!" I replied with my order number last week and haven't heard a thing. Atrocious smelling duvet and atrocious customer service. Please note - I've tried washing the duvet 4 times and the smell is still there!

I ordered two sheet sets online. I was really happy with the price and they came very quickly. The quality felt really good until I washed them.
After only 3 washes the first set tore at the seam. I messaged the company and they were very kind and sent me a replacement set.
Then, after washing the other set only 2 times, I found a hole in the fabric of the pillow case.
The fabric is really soft but now I can tell it's cheap and thin. (300 count). Sheets should not fall apart after only a couple washes. They should last years. I won't order from them again.

I ordered King-size sheets. One double was sent with King pillowcases and a King flat sheet, and they smelled badly, like they came from a factory. I tried to reach customer service numerous times, but couldn't get past the chatbot. It kept saying no one could take my call and would make me cycle back to step 1. After I posted this review and the company responded, I was able to email them, and they promptly sent me a King-sized fitted sheet. It doesn't smell bad. Everything worked out, and they were apologetic and appreciative of the effort to make it right.

Sad to see such a horrible company out there waving the Canadian flag. I had a concern but what really sums up this disgusting company is that they have no real customer service contacts. Call the customer service number (not on website but can be found onlilne)? It is just a message to send you to the website and a bot. The bot does not attempt to solve your issue - it just wants to offer a limited choice of the questions it arrogantly will answer. No way around it. They do not actually answer any real concern and do not care about their dismal reputation.
Avoid at all costs. It is a shame for Canada retailing. How not to do business.
Add to that, dishonest promotion techniques offering discounts they have no intention of offering with limitations that take out anything on sale - but they don't tell you that until the have stolen your email based on false advertising. Looking forward to this one going out of business to make room for a company that actually respects customers.

My $120 pillow was delivered by CanPar 6 hours away from my actual address. I have been trying for weeks to get a replacement or money refunded to no avail. And there is no customer service telephone number to call. I will never deal with Linen Chest again! BUYER BEWARE - AVOID LINEN CHEST

I was in the middle of asking the only cashier where something was when the phone rang. No excuse me or anything this person not only did not put this person on hold to finish the exchange with me she proceeded to have a lengthy conversation. She did not call for backup she simply ignored everyone.
Another cashier finally arrived and assisted customers. Why does a phone call take priority over the person in front of them jn the middle of a conversation? Is this how you train people.
I try to support canadian companies but I will be in a snit for a while and will select company who perhaps is more interested in my husiness

Mon chaudron est arrivé brisé. Impossible de parler à quelqu'un : il n'y a que des messages automatiques: aucune réponse directe, aucun numéro de téléphone. Ordered a mirror. The mirror arrived completely smashed. I reached out to their “customer service” via email weeks ago to do a return/exchange (sent photos and everything they asked). They told us to try and return it to a store location close to us. This is not possible as we live in Alberta, a 4 hour plane ride to the closest store. Over the last two weeks we have emailed simply asking for a response to resolve our issue. . . Not even the courtesy of a response email was sent. There is literally no way by phone email or computer to deal with a real person. I will now be wasting more of my time reaching out to Visa in order to get the payment reversed. What a time wasting disappointing ordeal this has turned out to be!
Update,
A week after I left my review Linen Chest reached out to us and gave us a full refund. For this I am happy just wish it wasn’t such a process (added 1 star).

False promo advertising. They promise 15% online discount if you give you give them your email and another $5 off. Total BS. I gave them my email and I received a discount code. You can’t apply this discount at the check out. The online chat is an AI bot and was useless. So much for buying Canadian. They suck! When you call the 1-800 Quebec line they don’t offer an English operator. Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. There are also 250 other very bad reviews. When I finally decided to dial zero— a French receptionist answered (who spoke English) but was unable to connect me with an employee and took my complaint & said they would call me back in a few days. Not acceptable as I wanted to place an order immediately.

Just be aware, this company will not help you at all with your online purchases. We were hoping to support a Canadian company but there's no chance of that now. Take my advice, don't even think about ordering online unless you live close enough to be able to return your order in person. Too bad I'm not able to post a picture of the fitted sheet that was had the body of the sheet sewn to the elastic.
I meant to add but forgot, the staff in the store were great. Too bad I had to drive over an hour one way to return my product with confidence that it would be returned.

Worst customer service ever dealt with (Have not seen a customer service that bad anywhere). I ordered something online and wanted to cancel the order. It could not be done using their "automated" system. Tried their live chat, no agent is available and suggested me to use their useless "automated" system. Sent emails to so called "customer service" with no answer. There is no phone number so a customer service with no phone number. That is really amazing. Will never ever order from them again

J’ai vécu une très mauvaise expérience avec Linen Chest concernant l’achat de stores motorisés. Une conseillère est venue chez moi le 5 novembre pour prendre les mesures de mes fenêtres, et j’ai passé ma commande en payant immédiatement.
Après un retard de 15 jours pour la livraison, les stores destinés à la chambre de mon fils sont arrivés endommagés. L’installateur les a repris et a rédigé un rapport. On m’a donné un nouveau rendez-vous, avec un délai déjà long, mais à son arrivée, l’installateur avait encore des stores endommagés. Même scénario pour un troisième rendez-vous : les stores étaient toujours abîmés.
Pendant tout ce temps, aucun suivi de la part de la conseillère qui était venue prendre les mesures. Après plusieurs appels et beaucoup de frustration, j’ai fini par accepter un remboursement tout en gardant les stores endommagés, car j’étais tout simplement épuisé par cette situation.

J’ai fait une commande récemment et il manque un item dans mon colis. J’ai envoyé 3 messages, sans aucune réponse. Je me suis même déplacée en boutique et une employée m’a dit qu’elle enverrait un courriel pour faire rectifier la situation, mais il ne s’est rien passé non plus. Impossible de se faire rembourser le produit manquant (ou de le recevoir, car il est encore disponible) malgré mes multiples tentatives.

I went to the Linen Chest located in the St Laurent Mall on Sunday March,9, 2025 and purchased a silk duvet. I did not open the bag until I got home. I opened the bag on a bed and read the label attached the duvet. It stated that the duvet was made of 50% silk and 50% cotton. It was not the 100% silk I was looking for. Also I felt the duvet was heavy to be a cover for a little child.
So I packed the duvet back into the bag. The next day (Monday), I went back to the Linen Chest to return it. The cashier was rude, she took a look at the duvet and accused me of using the duvet overnight and said the duvet was covered with hair. She point out a little fizzy lint and took some pictures..she said I could not return it. After arguing with her for a couple of minutes, she texted her manager. The manager replied that since I bought it yesterday they could gave me a store credit. At that point, I didn't want to discuss anything with the cashier and took the store credit. that ws offered.
My point is, don't shop in the Linen Chest, they tried their best not to let you return the goods you purchased! Also there is no customer service in the shop and the cashier is down right rude and accusative.

Terrible customer service each time I have had an issue with The Linen Chest orders, prices, and timelines. There are delays, inconsistencies, disorganization, and mistruths from their staff. If you are going to deal with this company, be prepared to wait up to 2 months for your order, have the information on delivery and prices change after placing an order, and receive incorrect information if you are lucky enough to reach an agent. Reaching an agent is a painful process. The agents are not honest or helpful and if it's a refund, they stall and hope you will forget all about it.

I received broken dishes and there is no way to contact customer service by phone. The only options are a bot and sending emails — but so far, no response. How does a company continue to operate without offering basic customer service? Very disappointed, especially since this is a Canadian company. Update March 18 - In their response below on March 12, they indicated that my case would be prioritized, yet it has now been six days with no follow-up. I've never had these issues with any other online retailer. Since they remain unresponsive, my next action is to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Update Mar 23 - received email that they agree to send me a replacement for broken dish (one of two options I requested in my email response to the escalated request). Final update March 27 - received replacement dish via courier - note this was 3 weeks after initial request
