LMB Group Reviews

I chose lmb on recommendation from a close friend and it was a pleasure dealing with the office staff in the early stages. They had a highly skilled and professional workforce complete the build and overall their project management could not be faulted, I had to make a couple of tough decisions regarding different designs etc but I was fully guided by the team and everything was explained fully. Overall my experience with lmb was very pleasant and could not be faulted and I would highly recommend them to everybody to consider if doing renovations due to their high quality of work.
Thanks again guys

Fantastic Conversion done by LMB great people to deal with from start to finish, explained everything about the conversion whow it would proceed step by step and kept us up to date at all times, we had reservations regarding the addition of the en-suite bathroom, but what a difference it has made the products used and the finishing detail right down to the mastic sealant done to match the colours of the bathroom great job all round guys money well spent

I have to say that from the moment we called LMB to do our loft conversion to the time they completed the work can only be described as the most professional friendly and comprehensively straight forward build we have ever experienced.

We have had a number of works undertaken over the years on a number of properties, however LMB have been by far the best.

LMB assigned us a dedicated Project Manager in Mark Graham-Sharif. This simple addition to the LMB team made our project run so smoothly.
As with any large projects there are always hurdles and obstacles encountered but what's most impressive is the manner in which the LMB team worked with us to resolve them.

From the office team to project manager and the build team were all simply fantastic.

We are very happy to leave this review and would whole heartedly reccomended LMB to anyone for any building project.

Thank you LMB!

Great experience with Lee and the team, even the communication via the WhatsApp group was spot one,we were kept in the loop all the way through the project, the office staff were so polite and easy to deal with too, would definitely be recommending these amazing guys to friends and family in the future!

Nightmare experience with this company when my parents used them to build their loft! Project was delayed for months! Lee Murphy rang them before the project started to demand more money for timber and steel along with a pre-start payment before he would start it and was rude and condescending. There were several major issues on the project. Lee Murphy refused to answer his phone and only contacted them to demand payments. All work was subcontracted out creating issues getting them back to the property. A quick Google search revealed that LMB Lofts (the previous incarnation of this company) was liquidated by Lee Edward Murphy with massive debts in late 2017. Ignore all fake and deceptive reviews on this and other review platforms designed to encourage you to part with your hard earned money. Thoroughly unscrupulous and unpleasant owner. To be avoided at all costs! Caveat emptor. Please note the reply below from the company is not truthful at no stage were my parents offered their deposit back which was 25%. This seems like a lot of money to pay Lee Murphy to manage a project. In truth, project management was non existent, communication was poor and work was shoddy. I checked the previous company on Companies House and it was insolvent liquidation with debts of more than one million pounds clearly evidenced in the Statement of Affairs signed by Lee Murphy and not as stated below.

LMB completed our Loft Conversion in February 2022 - we can't fault the process, from start to finish everything ran so smoothly, we are so happy with the end result. Lee and the team at LMB work hard to make sure we are always kept in the loop and shared every step of the way with us! Thank you guys! Highly recommend

We had an excellent experience with LMB Group, start to finish everything ran smoothly, on time, on budget. Extremely happy with our new loft conversion. HIGHLY recommend

Wonderful Job :)

LMB have provided us with a new lease of life, our home is now exactly how we envisioned it to be, we put all our trust into LMB and it was totally worth it, they are a great team, hardworking, tidy, efficient and all the team members have so much knowledge and experience. Thank you so much for providing us with our dream!!

“We were sold on LMB from the start with a great brochure and marketing material and a visit and chat directly from Lee to build our loft conversion. The price was competitive and there were no hidden costs which was something we were initially concerned about when embarking on the project. The builders themselves were an pleasure to have in the house, despite lockdown and home schooling. They built the loft to a high standard and were clearly very experienced and were able to use their experience to help provide us with advice on the design and layout. The other tradesmen (Plumber, electrician, tiler, carpenter) all did their job to a good standard and tidied and hoovered up every night before leaving. We had some issues with a leak as a result of not choosing to have a tin hat but Lee rectified the damage. We have had our loft space now for a few months and are delighted with the space. It is light and airy and the en suite bathroom is like stepping into a hotel bathroom every day. We did have a few issues with the guttering post build but Lee and the team were able to resolve these issues and LMB also provide a 12 month guarantee as well on structural work. The office are friendly and helpful too! Thanks LMB!

We have just had our loft conversation completed by LMB Construction, the loft space is a perfect addition to our family home, we are delighted to have chosen LMB.
Lee and his team were highly professional from start to finish, we would happily recommend LMB in the future.

Lee and his team were fantastic from start to finish. Ricki was highly knowledgeable and had great ideas and Chris the site manager was PHENOMENAL, his work ethic and speed were exceptional. The organisation of the different trades was done well & took the stress out of a big renovation whilst we were working. We are now moving & will have the LMB team back for our new house! Look forward to see you all again!

LMB completed our loft extension in May/June 2021 and we couldn’t be happier with the result. We original chose LMB as we were very happy with the price and had seen previous testimonies supporting their good work. All the way through we were kept up to date and informed. Apart from the initial deposit all other payments were made direct to the trades that had finished that part of the job. We had been given a payment plan, which was followed to the T and there were no surprises. All the trades people that came to the house were tidy, polite and all very professional, top of their game. The end result after 8/9 weeks, a beautiful double bedroom and bathroom created in a unused space that used to house the Xmas decorations!
I would recommend LMB to anyone who is considering a loft extension, we definitely made the right decision to use them.

I wasn’t to sure who to choose to do my loft, then I met lee from lmb. Him and his team are first class. From the off lee kept me up to date on all the progress and stages that his team were at from getting the deliveries on site to the install rite the way through. Having a loft installed is very daunting but with having the lmb team on it it put me a ease. I’m very happy with the end result they have produced and would highly recommend anybody think of having a loft try out these guys first as you will not be disappointed. Many thanks lee and all the team

We’re delighted with our new loft space. LMB delivered true to their word and went to great lengths to tailor the project to meet our budget. Lee has a great team, good supply chain and numerous friendly trades who we felt very comfortable with. They worked incredibly hard during an unquestionably tough time for the construction period (lockdown/ supply of materials) and still managed to meet expectations. We would be completely happy to recommend. Any problems were quickly sorted and Lee is very genuine and reassuring figure.

We are over the moon with our new loft conversion! From the start, LMB provided a highly professional and efficient service. Lee’s communication, the support from the office and architect’s plans all exceeded our expectations from the get-go, and that set the tone for the rest of the project really. The speed at which the main structure went up was so impressive. There are many other trades that came in to work at different stages of the project lifecycle, and they were all well organised. The quality of the workmanship of the vast majority of these trades (particularly the roofers, tilers and carpenter) has been brilliant and it’s allowed us to achieve the finish that we wanted. The loft space is a wonderful addition to our home. So if you’re also thinking of taking the roof off your house to create some extra room, we’d definitely recommend LMB!

LMB recently did a loft conversion & bathroom refitting for us. Lee and team were extremely professional and did a really good job. Lee was happy to accommodate all requests from us and gave us what we wanted. I would happily recommended LMB to others.

We have just had a rear Dorma loft conversion completed and are really happy with the final result!! LMB were excellent and kept us up to date and informed throughout the project, with anticipated timelines and step by step progress. In particular Lee was very personable and available, keeping the project on track and offering reassurances when needed . Even before the build started we were impressed with the complete service provided by the company, who were able to answer any questions raised. They completed the project within the estimated time and budget although we went with some optional upgrades during the build. There were, as I'm sure with most builds, some delays and unforeseen set backs, but these were dealt with quickly and properly. The standard of the trades people was also excellent and we could not fault them for their professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend LMB and would be happy to engage with them in the future.

We have just had our loft conversion completed by LMB Construction. Lee has an excellent team working for him from the first and second fix carpenters, tilers, plumbers, and plasterers, they were all so friendly, trust worthy and very professional. The whole project from start to finish was a success. If i needed anything done i would speak to Joanne who worked in the office and she would sort it out straightaway. Joanne and i have never met but she made me feel like we'd known each other for a long time. I would highly recommend LMB for construction works on your home.

Lovely loft conversion done, boys were perfect cleaned up after themselves everyday and very polite.we would definitely recommend LMB 👏🏻👏🏻

Our loft conversion has changed our lives, from start to finish the customer service, workmanship, level of expertise and everything in between has been outstanding. They have provided us with not only a new home for our family to grow but the most positive, happy and stress free experience which is more than I could have asked for.

The process went so smoothly, Lee gave us all the information we needed and always kept us in the loop and Joanna was always available for us to ask questions, nothing was ever too much.

I can highly recommend Lee and his team at LMB Group
