LMB Group Reviews

As an Architect at Shorplans I have worked with Lee Murphy and his team for a number of years on numerous schemes. I highly recommend LMB Group, they are a team of professionals highly skilled builders that work hard to ensure their clients are satisfied.

LMB done a really good job on our loft, the quality of work carried out by the different trades was of a very high standard. There was a delayed start to our project but overall this was made up by the high standard of finish by the teams that were allocated to our project.

LMB Completed the work on my loft conversion over the past few months. The start of the process was amazing with Laurence the builder b big faultless throughout. After the main build was completed it moved over to the project manager. This didn’t start of well, but was later removed for Ollie who has picked up the project well. The workmanship seems to be of a very high standard and generally very happy. This did over run slightly but was kept informed and still very happy over all.

LMB completed our loft conversion in December 2020. Laurence and his team were very professional and efficient, completing the build on time. Costs were kept to budget. We are very pleased with our loft conversion.

I went to LMB Lofts after a really bad experience and being financially taken advantage of by a small loft company called new space.

LMB came to my house to talk through my loft plans and budget, timescale of work and when they could start the work, so to point and direct with all they said

The company was incredible in every area, honestly all of the trades that work for LMB were so professional and always on time, their workmanship was excellent, and what was amazing, they were all really nice down to earth people that took time to explain any concern or issue that I had

The LMB owner Lee assured me that the work will be done and done to budget and done to a great standard

And in my opinion, Lee was correct in all the work his company done

I recommend LMB Lofts so highly

Thanks

Lee and the team were extremely helpful and efficient from start to finish. Everything was clearly outlined from the beginning and if any changes were needed as the process took place, I was made aware every step of the way!
An honest, genuine and reliable company, with an extremely high level of work carried out.
Will be returning if I should need Lee and the team in the future!

We had our lift converted with LMB and found them to be professional, reliable and attentive. The team that Lee sent round to carry out the work were very polite and respectful which made having them in our house whilst the building works were underway a lot easier. The Project manager Laurence and this team were really good and dealt with every query and concern we had. The Brazilian carpenter that LMB used, Dalton, was amazing too! The guy is very talented. Overall good experience and really pleased with the end result, which looks stunning. Thank you Lee and the LMB team!

My partner received a quotation from LMB several months ago. Since then, they have been subjected to a barrage of phone calls from Lee Murphy in the evening offering discounts only if we paid in cash to avoid paying VAT. This constant badgering indicates serious financial problems at this company. After some research to establish the cause of this greed I found on Companies House that Lee Edward Murphy has liquidated two companies (Company numbers: 07461268 and 05140036) and I would advise potential clients to steer well clear.

We recently had our loft conversion carried out by L&B after a recommendation from some friends of ours who had done the same and we couldn't be happier with the results, it's like living in a show home.
All the guys working on the project we're excellent, tidy, reliable, and kept us updated with what was going on and what decisions would need to be made. Ryan who did a lot of the building work especially was top drawer, sending daily videos of what was being done, and making tweaks to things as he went to solve us problems we weren't seeing - lining the windows and hatches up so they would be symmetrical after the wardrobes went in, reinforcing the wall so we will have a place to mount the TV when we get to it etc. Nice touches that we would have missed.
There were a few bumps along the way where unexpected issues popped up - as there always will be, and each time we were able talk to Lee and work through to a happy compromise on solutions to them.
Once the main job was finished the guys came back and tidied up all the loose ends, patching up bits of wall, boxing in new pipework, fixing the dips in the drive and got everything ready to be decorated.
100% would use these guys again if I am ever in need of a loft conversion.

Lee and his team did an excellent job on our loft conversion 6yrs ago. When we were ready to sell the property and we required documentation regarding the loft that we did not have, Lee and his team were more than happy to supply the required documention. Because of that we successfully sold the house. Thanks Lee!

Lee & his team carried out the work to a high standard. They started work on time & communicated well on its progress keeping to all deadlines. I am very happy with my new loft conversion & would definitely recommend him to others.

We decided to go with Lmb for
Our loft build and was very pleased with the beautiful loft conversion that was completed at our property. in side the time window promised and inside our budget as promised

Professional bunch was very pleased
Great work

We had our Loft converted into a wonderful large bedroom with an attached bathroom. LMB did a fantastic job, they were really professional and finished everything on time within our budget. Work was finished to a very high quality. Lee & the whole team were great. highly recommended.

LMB did a beautiful loft conversion for us. We wanted something bespoke and slightly unusual and they delivered at a competitive price. The pricing structure and quote given were very clear. All the tradesmen did a great job and were very nice. Like all construction projects, some problems happened along the way, but LMB always went out of their way to resolve them. We are thrilled with the result.

Buyer Beware!
We have a loft conversion that needs pulling down.
It has been deemed unsafe and dangerous by two very qualified structural engineers.

Use anyone else, but please do not use these.
You have been warned

We highly recommend LMB! We had several quotes as we was weary of doing building works and getting the right company in to do it! But Lee was great from start to finish everything was detailed in the quote and no hidden costs , we discussed what we wanted and LMB listened and made our dreams into reality! All the LMB team were polite professional tidy ( we have young children and the guys made sure everything was well tidy by end of play everyday this is a huge thing for us and one less stress THANK YOU! ) and gave high end quality work start to finish.

I want to thank you LMB for achieving what we have wanted for so long. We couldn’t be anymore happy with the amazing results on our loft conversation and would recommend you to all our family and friends .

We commenced our loft conversion mid March 2022 and completed mid June. I was very apprehensive to start. The party wall agreement was a bit of an issue, one of my neighbours was particularly unhelpful and chose the most expensive Chartered Surveyor. However, when both neighbours reached agreement most of the building works went very smoothly. We were fortunate to have Dave Crawley as our Project Manager, Jack Crawley and Paul as 1st fix Carpenters. They were brilliant. The other builders were very good. All the work men were polite, hard-working and very respectful while on our premises. The workmanship so far is faultless. I am confident that if anything should go wrong we would have a satisfactory outcome. Family and friends are very impressed with our loft conversion comprising a huge bedroom and bathroom. All in all we are very happy that we chose LMB as our contractor.

Overall a very good experience.
The project overran (which is to be expected of any building project) but communication was solid throughout and the final end product we are very happy with.
Brandon who undertook the structural work was in particular excellent and I could not praise him highly enough. The 'finishing' of the project dragged due to general market unavailability of a carpenter which was a shame.
Mark the project manager did a decent job of keeping on top of things and Philomena in the office was superb in getting things finalised at the end.
Whilst I would recommend LMB I think that if more realistic timeframes (and corresponding costings) were provided from the outset (and updated during the build) this would be highly beneficial in managing client expectations.

Had a good experience
The team where excellent, completely the floor, dorma, stairs and internal wall within 3 weeks of starting. Great touch with all of the teams through a WhatsApp group chat.
