Appointment 2nd May 11 o'clock.
Had an appointment on the phone for 2nd May 2026 at 11 o'clock. Had a call 1st May confirming appointment and time. 11 o'clock came and went. We waited till 11.15 and still no contact. Phone records say received 3 calls 2 between 11.25 & 12 noon & 1 between 12 & 12.30 pm. Unable to take as was driving. No messages left on answer phone.
Our appointment was 11 o'clock.
No further contact made by Secure Legacy via phone nor email, but they are happy to keep the fee we paid that we paid in advance.

The sales pitch for additional policies…
The sales pitch for additional policies was very aggressive, leading me to purchase insurance that I did not want or expect. As a result, I had to cancel these policies, which totaled over £500, not including the cost of the wills.

Heavy pressure
We haven’t received it yet, though we’ve had the email version and that was all good. So, assuming we do receive it soon……it was a very straightforward process, but there was heavy pressure for us to go ahead and also use other services (Lasting Power of Attorney, which we have done online through Gov.uk with no charge). Repeated pressure in both calls.

All of our will writers have a legal and ethical duty of care to highlight any potential vulnerabilities or risks in a client’s estate planning. That means we are required to explain additional protections, even if a client has come in only wanting the basics.
The intention is never to pressure, but to ensure that clients are making fully informed decisions, rather than discovering later that something important was never mentioned.
Ultimately, all decisions always remain with you — (and you were absolutely within your rights to stick to the basics you wanted.)
