Moved the car return location with no notice.
The company charged extra hidden fees upon picking up the rental. They closed and relocated their car return at the Rome airport without any notice. I had gotten a print out from the company on how to return the car. They moved to a different garage and there was no note or anything directing you to the new location. This caused me to almost miss my flight.

Our policy is based on maximum transparency, and before the rental agreement is signed, we make sure to explain everything that is included and excluded from your package.
The one-way fee (for returning the vehicle to a different location) is also always communicated before the charge is made and is clearly listed on the broker's booking voucher under the extra costs to be paid at pick-up. We truly regret that you did not perceive the transparency we strive to provide to our customers.
Regarding the change in the vehicle return location, we understand the confusion you experienced. Unfortunately, these changes are beyond our control and are dictated by the airport management rather than our own company. We have taken note of your feedback and will discuss it with the relevant departments to improve our service.
We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back to one of our locations in the future.Chiara

Non sono solito recensire, più per fatica e mancanza di tempo, ma per Locauto è giusto farlo … premesso che ho avuto la fortuna di girare abbastanza il mondo ed utilizzato svariate compagnie di noleggio, con Locauto, in qualsiasi sede da me utilizzata, ho sempre e ribadisco sempre, avuto a che fare con trasparenza contrattuale, mezzi sempre funzionanti e puliti, rinnovati con modelli più moderni ed un atteggiamento cordiale e piacevolmente sorridente di tutti i membri dello staff 👏👏👏👍👍👍💜💜💜

A Firenze dovete segnalare con chiarezza la sede vicina alla stazione. Sul mio account era sufficiente rimanesse registrato l’indirizzo al quale prelevo l’auto solitamente. Non commento l’atteggiamento e zero supporto da parte del vostro personale. Ho dovuto prendere un taxi per raggiungere una sede lontanissima da Firenze, Santa Maria novella

Locauto charged us more for a 2cm barely visible dent, than the entire rental for the car.

Please note that costs of damages are fixed and do not change like price of the car rental. At the link https://portale.locautorent.com/doc/damage_rate.pdf you can find the damage repair fees.
Lastly, as we usually explain to our customers, purchasing damage coverage is a great way to protect yourself against unexpected costs and travel with confidence.

We had a very smooth and pleasant experience with Locauto for our car rental in Italy. The booking process was easy and clear, the staff at pickup were friendly and helpful, and the car was in excellent condition, clean and fully equipped as expected. Throughout our trip everything worked perfectly, with no issues or surprises. Great reception and very fast procedures for pick-up and drop-off. The staff were helpful, and the car was in excellent condition and perfectly clean. The Smart Check-in service saved me a lot of time. Highly recommended!
