My luggage was picked up on time…

My luggage was picked up on time delivered down to the port timely was safe safely, kept and delivered to my cabin without difficulty
The only thing that was awkward was that it only had to go an hour down the road and they picked it up three weeks early???
Coming back, my luggage was taken from the ship to the port from the port. It was turned into my house and it was actually here the day after I got home.
That made more sense than the possible three weeks they were saying when I first scheduled
I don’t really appreciate that. There’s so many restrictions on what can go in the bags, but I do understand that and I made it work.

Great Company

Paperwork arrived on time, Delivery was as promised. Great service never have to worry that suitcase will not be picked Up or delivered.

Very efficient

Very efficient! Luggage came before the "due date" and was in the same condition as when I gave it to them! Would definitely use them again! It is not cheap BUT well worth not having the hassle of lugging around heavy luggage ESPECIALLY for us older folks!!

True evaluation

Service was as explained. Received luggage in exactly same condition as it left. Was interested in exactly how they figured out what was in it without opening it. List was not accurate I might add. The cost of replacement estimate was laughable. Perhaps if you had purchased everything at Goodwill and replaced it at Goodwill it might have been a fair estimate. However, we were going on a Viking cruise and touring Europe. Don’t think I was bringing trash for clothes. So why bother insuring luggage is my question not that we needed the offer. But brought us peace. So was the huge expense worth it. Maybe. Would I do it again. Maybe. Did I appreciate it at the time. Yes.

Worth every penny!!

Worth every penny!!! With the reoccurring incidentance of delayed and cancelled flights, it's reassuring to KNOW at least your luggage made it. The ease I experienced using this service (especially for cruises) alleviated so much stress and backache. I was able to enjoy my vacation without undue worry. I also loved having the ability to choose the amount to insure contents.

Convenience and trustworthiness

The ease of making the arrangements for pick-up/delivery, the week-ahead-of-predicted (!) return of the two suitcases, the choice of a trusted carrier (UPS) to do the actual hauling, the convenience and reliability of LF's service.

Luggage completely handled correctly

Our luggage was picked up on time, was delivered to the correct boat on the correct day and was waiting for us in our cabin. When we departed we left our luggage with boat, not sure whether luggage forward would find us (we were the only people using luggage forward). Sure enough, our luggage was collected. We received emails during every step of the process.

prompt serviced both ways

prompt serviced both ways, nice UPS drivers. Luggage delivered on time to ship outbound, and to home on return one day service on return. LOTS of people on board used LF and were very pleased

Nice job

Documents sent to my home well before trip. Luggage was transferred to transporter at Lisbon port, Smooth transaction all around.

Luggage arrived home well before expected date.

Very poor service

Several weeks after scheduling I noticed that you were sending the suitcase documents to my home while I was at sea and not the debarking port. After one attempt trying to reach “service” and waiting on hold for 10 minutes I called booking hoping for help. I was told the documents would be given to me by Princess while at sea. That didn’t seem right as we have used your service before and they were always sent to us before we embarking. Princess had never heard of this procedure. We managed to copy one off the internet, stapled that and couldn’t find any clear wide tape to secure it on the suitcase handle. Through most of our cruise I was so nervous wondering about this problem due to not being able to take this suitcase on our second stage of our trip.

We have another trip coming up this winter but am wondering if I can depend you. We have used you previously but if I don’t think I can depend on you.

Did what they said, but booking was frustrating

The collection and delivery of the bag was as advertised. The bag received some damage during transit, but who can say when that occurred. It was a little disappointing there was no mention of the damage, despite it being taped up. This damage was discovered well after leaving port when the bag was delivered to the stateroom, so no prompt chance for contact to resolve.

The booking process had aspects that were extremely easy to navigate, and aspects that were vexing, very little in between. It felt like at times luggage forward did not understand their own requirements or the requirements of the country I was shipping to. For example the requirement for flight booking for departing the origin country, but then they actually needed the flight booking for the destination country. Which I had planned crossing an unsecured land border to (Schengen). These difficulties resulted in too many additional emails considering the cost for the service.
Luggage forward is what people use for convenience, when it stops being the convenient option the choice to use it is questioned.
