Asking for 10oz sirloin steak picture on menu looked thick and delicious, but it came down it looked like sandwich steak, so thin and stringy, my partner order a rump steak he got a small 5 oz piece double over to make it look thick but at least he didn't have half his stringy steak pieces to cut out

Food was good but staff service was dreadful, Wasnt busy and said oh only have this table available. No where near where staff were.

food was served and then waited over 5 minutes for sauce and another drink.

Groupon in conjunction with Beefeater were offering 50% off food when joining their (Beefeater) Reward Club. I went through the process as directed, i.e. name, email address etc and hit the "subscribe" button. Nothing happened, no emails, nothing. I had to send 3 emails to The Reward Club (Beefeater/Whitbread) and was advised they had stopped taking on any new member from July. I sent another email stating the Groupon offer was still valid and am still awaiting the courtesy of a reply. Surely 2 large organisations should ensure their facts and advertising are valid and correct. I shall not be bothering entertaining a visit to any Beefeater restaurants.

Stayed at the Premier Inn attached in Romford, hotel was excellent. However the Beefeater was not so good. The staff were friendly but quite slow. The breakfast I must say was excellent but the evening meal awful. They messed up my order, forgot my starter and when my main arrived the sirloin steak was quality, full of gristle and raw in the
middle. I’d ordered it medium rare and got very rare. I had difficulty cutting and chewing it.
Not very happy at all.

Called into the Beefeater next to Morrisons in Darlington this afternoon for a bite to eat. Was greeted by Dan who was very polite and friendly. Although fish was off the menu due to unforeseen circumstances we ordered the gammon and steak pie. Delicious. Service from Dan highly recommended . Will return

Beefeater is an amazing place to drink, the food smells amazing! Whether it’s pint, cocktails or spirits you’re going to leave happy. We had Declan behind the bar today and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Perfect barman, amazing service and prefect recommendations!

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our family. We had a reservation for 12 people, later updated to 14. A few guests arrived about 10 minutes early and were told the table wasn’t ready yet. It wasn’t a warm welcome and the atmosphere from the staff felt far from friendly.
It was very difficult to get two additional chairs and space for the extra guests, despite the update in the booking. The manager eventually brought a chair over, but did so with clear displeasure, practically throwing it at the table.
To make matters worse, two guests who ordered later than the rest were served their meals much earlier. We waited a long time and couldn’t eat together as a group. My salmon was absolutely awful – completely inedible and definitely not worth the price. No one came to check if everything was okay and after we were served, we were left completely on our own. No one returned to our table, no one cleared anything. We were simply ignored!
We left feeling extremely disappointed. What was supposed to be a joyful birthday celebration ended up being frustrating and upsetting. This place completely ruined the mood. I absolutely do not recommend it.

We were looking forward to an evening meal after travelling but it was horrific! My little one didn't even eat his pasta and he loves pasta. Smelled and tasted vile. We had ordered 3 starters to share as there was a deal on. They only brought out 2 which were cold and bland so we didn't eat those, When asked where the 3rd starter was the Manager brought out a kids pizza and chips - this is not what we ordered but was dumped on the table and he ran off (which now I think was meant for a little girl behind us at another table as she waited a while after her family to get her food!). My wee one was that hungry he ate a few of the chips but we didn't eat anything at all so had to go back to our hotel and order a pizza to be delivered!

We were looking forward to our meal at the Beefeater Restaurant in dover( The Plough) this waitress was good, but the food was awful… both our meals were burnt, mine was almost inedible, ( rack of pork ribs) my wife’s smothered chicken was burnt as well, they offered to replace both our meals, but we did not have the time to wait, I received a refund on my ribs, of £21.99 but it spoiled our dining experience, we will not be going back.

Went to Guildford for a Sunday roast. Booked online, arrived at 6.00 pm to be told there were no roasts left. We chose to stay... our mistake. We had beef and ale pie, chips and peas. The pie crust was very hard, not much meat and very weird tasting gravy. Chips were okay but if you were hungry you would have been disappointed. Portion of peas was a joke... one tablespoon if that and that was being generous.

On the plus side, the staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Sadly the coffee was terrible, machine made latte... I don't normally return anything but we didn't pay for the coffee. However, the hot chocolate was lovely.

Sadly overall a very disappointing visit and we won't be returning.

Had a great lunch at Beefeater The Haywain Basildon, Essex. Served by Sue who ensured our experience was relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable.

(We stayed at Premier Inn - same building - which was, as usual, extremely good. However...)

'Premier Inn' ally themselves with 'Beefeater' restaurants (presumably they're one and the same company?). In this case, at Swanley, they're in the same building. So... a stay at Premier Inn means naturally eating at Beefeater.

'Beefeater Swanley' is a disgrace - SO much that is wrong that I hardly know where to begin.

The approach to the business is visually dreadful. The box-hedged gardens are criss-crossed with little muddy footpaths, because the original hard path layout was just wrong, forcing people to walk right out of their way. Naturally, people have taken the direct routes across the gardens, trampling down shrubs.
The loose 'gravel' round the entrance was always going to be a disaster, loads of it being kicked up across the entrances and even being walked INTO the building!! Does 'management' not see any of this?? A Premier Inn staff member complained that she was always sweeping away these small shards of stone, but that Beefeater staff were not as diligent at this. It should not even be necessary, with proper, intelligent landscaping.

Our first attempt at eating there, on our first night... their grill was broken (they are a grilled food specialist restaurant). Unfortunate, but these things happen. To remedy this, Beefeater had apparently bought a domestic barbecue that was far too small, so meal wait times could be half an hour or more (all according to staff). Before sitting down, we therefore decided on the 'lasagne' option. Nope, they'd run out of that! We gave up and left, choosing luck to find us 'somewhere' in the Swanley area, involving us in yet more driving, and therefor not having a drink with our evening meal.

Breakfast was a depressing affair... Staff had a strange attitude - speaking abruptly and in a very slightly "dominant" manner. This is NOT a staff member's problem, but a 'poor management' issue - staff desperately need coaching on their manner with the public.
The cooked breakfast was very greasy and lacklustre, with a very poor choice of sausage (it seemed cheap), though I recognise that this could be personal taste; the 'orange juice', just wasn't - it was a mixture of juices that tasted 'odd' and cheap. Everything else was 'normal' and not worthy of criticism.
The upholstery on the benches was totally unacceptable - not just worn-out, but ripped with large parts missing, hanging off,and filthy. Apart from the slight 'staff attitude' issue, the staff were very pleasant and willing. Their manner of dress, though, was often a bit inappropriate (another management failing). These nice people need better guidance in performing their jobs professionally.
Not one, but two major lights in the Gent's toilet were defective.
In short, the management failings of this Beefeater, at Swanley in Kent, are monumental - we never did have an evening meal there.

In contrast, Premier Inn was immaculate and just as we expect, with the young receptionist being particularly kind and helpful.

Greated with a friendly smile and shown to my table with great presentation and visible menus. My waitress was Sophie and she was very professional, being able to answer any questions and queries and checking if everything was alright with the food. She was very clean and tidy and friendly.

Beware when booking a table online !!! The wonderful Beefeater website allows you to book a table for 9:15 and upon arrival Lydiard Swindon you get told ‘sorry the kitchen closes at 8:45 ‘ - totally shambolic ! Very disappointed !! Awful that an organisation this size can overlook such a basic requirement of customer service

Beefeater. The Springwood. Macclesfield. The food was delicious and great service from Izzy P. Very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was not the best serves was not the best had to cut off half my steak as peers it was stringy in the middle took ages to basic things one person taking over a large area

Thought I would give them a try,
Place was clean and the staff was kind and professional
Unfortunately the food was gross
Wanted a steak so I order there top steak
Med rare
Tasted spoiled too tough to chew or cut almost choke

To bad I was looking for a good meal
I gave them a try and I want be going back

BEEFEATER North West York. Excellent customer service nothing too much trouble, in particular Jack and Emily. In fact you have an all round fabulous team.
