DON'T DO IT!!!!

Purchased a VERY expensive leather couch from Macy's furniture in January 2024... and purchased the $500 warranty that was 'supposed' to cover anything and everything. The salesperson assured... "just file a claim, all will be covered... " NOT. A claim for poor quality and damage that should have been covered was denied immediately. And no contact information or way to leave a review through Macy's. Will NEVER purchase anything from Macy's again, nor will I purchase a warranty. Worthless.

Went to Macy’s today with a gift card…

Went to Macy’s today with a gift card worth $200
When the scratch the PIN number they didn’t do right and they erased all the numbers
Then I was told the card was already used.
Asked to talk to a manager who took one and half hour to show up
When I asked him what took so long he replied he was in a meeting
I guess Macy’s makes more money in a meeting than taking care a a paying customer
Now I’m out $200
Unacceptable will not shop Macy’s any more

Terrible experience!

I was in a store at Macy’s store yesterday and saw a dress that I wanted to buy for my Daughter. Since she does not live near me I ordered it online to be shipped to her house. The next day I received an email saying that it was out of stock. I saw this dress in the store in multiple sizes so I know that it is in stock. When I called, the customer service representative was not able to help me and at the end of this entire ordeal, I was left with no dress and no help. I know that they have the Dress and they even told me the stores that have it in stock, but they were not able to figure out a way to have the store Send it to my daughter. I am most disappointed with this terrible terrible experience!!!!

Poor quality control

As a long-time Macy’s customer, it’s disappointing to see a noticeable decline in product quality—particularly in online clothing purchases. Many of the items being sold now feel substandard, far from the quality Macy’s was once known for. In addition, shipping has become unreasonably slow, further diminishing the overall customer experience.

Fortunately, I live close to a Macy’s location, which makes returning these items somewhat easier. However, the core issue lies in what seems to be a clear shift in focus: prioritizing volume and sales numbers over maintaining quality standards. It feels as though Macy’s—and many other retailers—are increasingly comfortable pushing inferior products at premium prices, assuming customers won’t notice or won’t bother to return them.

This is a short-sighted strategy. If Macy’s hopes to retain loyal customers and rebuild trust, restoring strict quality control must be a top priority. Without it, even the most established brands risk alienating their base and losing relevance in a competitive retail market.

Ordered 2 sheet sets, 1 came with 4 pillow cases.. the other with 2 decorative pillow cases.. sheets are very thin.. no wonder they call them cool, no fabric!! Horrible.. no wonder macys is going out of business!

Tried to use macys gift card online wouldn't work called in the worker claimed she placed the order and didn't cuz the order not even in stock. I'm so sick of doing business in America then have to bust my brain to figure out wtf their customer service pple are saying. Just dont buy the cards online!! Customer service is a negative hell

Macy’s delivery services have…

Macy’s delivery services have consistently fallen short of expectations. A few months ago, I ordered a washer and dryer from Macy’s, and the delivery took an astonishing two weeks. Upon receiving the products, the delivery driver complained about the excessive weight of the items, rendering them unsuitable for installation. Consequently, he was forced to reschedule the delivery for another day.
A week later, two new drivers arrived with the washer and dryer, successfully completing the installation. However, on June 11, the same delivery driver arrived at my residence at 9:00 AM to deliver new bedroom furniture. To my surprise, it was the same delivery driver from the previous incident.
Kindly note that the delivery driver entered my home to ascertain the location of the furniture before returning to his truck to unpack and set up the items. Unfortunately, he encountered difficulties due to the weight of the furniture and was unable to complete the installation promptly. Consequently, he requested a reschedule.
I informed the delivery driver that he had previously made similar excuses during his previous delivery, and I declined to accept the delivery and requested an immediate refund. The delivery driver promptly contacted his dispatcher and handed me the phone. I explained to the dispatcher that this was the second time the delivery driver had provided an excuse for a delivery, and that Macy’s should be aware of any weight-related issues and require additional personnel prior to any delivery.

What a JOKE!

Macy's Not Worth Shopping There

Macy's in store stock is really low. The products that they do carry are extremely overpriced. I haven't been in the store in over 2 years and decided to try and take another look. I went in for two items, a purse and earrings. I always look for sales due to the high prices of the items. Nothing was on sale in either of these product areas. I took a look around at some of the clothing and even clothing that was on the sale rack was still overpriced. My experience was really disappointing to me as for 20 years, this was my favorite go-to store.

Unfortunately, I have to add to the negative reviews. These people shipped an anniversary gift to the wrong address. 😡 They had one job and they failed. I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering from their website. That was my first and last time ordering from them.

BILLING ERRORS

I would give them a ZERO if you had it! I have been thru hell with their non english speaking customer service. Afeter several phone calls, I got to an american manager. I returned the 5 items I received due to poor quality and fitting issues. My balance should have been zero, but they kept insisting that is was 17.51. After several hours of going back and forth with them, I received a message sayting that there was a TECHNICAL GLITCH with their system. So, I have tried it once more and ordered 2 items and the same thing has happened, but this time , my zero balance is now over 88 and I am still not in possession of my tops! I dread having to go thru this nitemare again! I am DONE with Macy's online anything!!!

Macys Deceptive online Furniture business

I had a truly frustrating experience with Macy’s after purchasing a Sealy Posturepedic mattress. The product was delivered damaged and without its original tags, which immediately raised concerns about its authenticity and condition. Upon contacting Macy’s return office, they scheduled an inspection after two months—but no one ever showed up. After multiple follow-ups and wasted time, they refused to take responsibility and instead demanded a mattress usage fee for a product that was defective from the start! This experience has been nothing short of disappointing, with poor customer service, a lack of accountability, and an unfair policy that penalizes customers for issues caused by Macy’s. I expected better from a reputable retailer—but sadly, this has been an ordeal I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Beware before making a purchase!

Horrible Customer Service

This is not the first time Macy's did this to me. I returned quality of 2 items in 1 order. Again, same items, quality of 2 and of course again and again. They ONLY refunded me for 1 item and 1 item ONLY. My returns started quality of 2 and Macy's indicated returns received. For this order alone 4602969393 I did called customer service support and luckily the gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and understand my frustration he'd mannually initiated the refund so I did got my full refund afterwards but really? I have to call them to remind them to do their's job that they're getting paid for. The department that process my refund, did they work with their's eyes closed??? Quality of 2 give your customers a refund for 2. This is unacceptable and bad business practices. Today I got lucky get to spoke to someone really helpful and knowledgeable but that not always the case. Most of them are wfh and even from different countries. They are useless and careless. Also, many times in the past I spoke to them and they said they will fix the problem but problems never solved so then you wasted so much of your times and effort for nothing. If this is getting worse and I'll file a complaint with BBB to help others out there that love shopping like me.

Horrible customer service

I have had nothing but trouble shopping online with Macy’s. Packages are delayed in shipping. Purchasing premium shipping doesn’t work. Customer service lies. And orders are cancelled after waiting 5 days for item to ship. I will never shop at Macy’s again.

Like the coat hate the shipping

Was happy to order a new sport coat when the sale prices were too good to pass up. Ordering was easy and shipping was done fairly quickly.
UPS destroyed the box which isn’t surprising. What was an issue in the coat was thrown into a box too large for its size with no internal padding or wadding. The coat came out bunched in a ball all wrinkled and as an added bonus the anti theft device was still attached.
Lucky me so a trip to the store 40 miles away and a sympathetic manger but just sorry and removing the tag. Now I’m tasked with getting it dry cleaned and pressed. Not and ourcome

Ordered online and never received products and never received a notice that the third party seller was saying wrong address, supposedly sent it back. Ok so after Ten different phone calls to no one who speaks English, I still have No product, and still charged!!!?? Stay Away from Macy's!!! It's a total scam now. With absolutely horrible customer service!!!!!
