Macys canceled my order costing us thousands
We ordered several pieces of furniture from Macys for a vacation home. We flew to the destination to receive the order, and received confirmation it would be delivered the next day. We waited all day and no one showed up. We contacted Macys and were told the order had been canceled, but they didn’t know who or why and, despite having our phone number, they never called us. After 2 days and countless phone calls we were told that they were worried about fraud (there wasn’t any) and that it was the bank that caused the transaction to be canceled and that since it was canceled they couldn’t reinstate the order and if we reordered it they would not be able to get it to us before we left. So we are out several thousand dollars in travel costs as well as other damages. They did offer us 10% off on, not this order, but the next order… as if I would ever buy anything from this chain again.

Their fitting rooms look like they haven’t been cleaned since 1998 – stains on the mirrors, broken hooks, and a line of angry grandmas waiting forever. Found a dress with a security tag still on it, and the cashier sighed like I was the problem.

On 04/09/2025; I had purchased online a Swiss fully mechanical rewindable wrist watch. On 04/16/2025; I noticed that you had a one day discount on purchases in the Fine Jewelry department at your store in Tysons corner mall in Virginia. I immediately showed up and your sales associate, Mr. Susant Ghimire was so helpful for me to be able to return my purchase and repurchase it with a discount. He also perfectly adjusted the length of my wrist watch’s metal strap; so fast, so neat.

This lady who works at the perfume section was walking around with a strong perfume trying to offer it to us. I have allergies and I instantly get rashes all over my hands because she was walking around me with that terrible perfume. We know where she is. We can find her. I am afraid to visit that place again
Beware Of Online Shipments
Macy's may have some great online price, but be aware if you need something quick, then ordering online from here is not the place. I ordered a few suits on the 19th of March, after placing the order it said that shipment would arrive 3 to 6 days. Meaning I would receive my items by March 26th the latest. When I checked my order status today and saw that it was still being processed. I contacted customer service to see what the issue was. At that point they informed me that I would not receive my items till April 1st, I lost it! That's 13 days after I placed the order. What happened to the 3 to 6 days. Here is the catch, that they don't make you aware online, per customer service. It takes 48 hours to process the order, after that it takes 6 days for shipping. This does not include weekends. Not cool Macy's, you need to provide shipping options for your customers as well as how long it will take, if they need items sooner! Plus, customer service was no help in trying to get the items out sooner. That being said, I won't be ordering online from Macy's again.

I have been a long time customer of Macy's. I feel this time they dropped the ball. I saw an advertisement for perfume samplers. I had bought them from sephora, and they were bottles. Macy's sold free samplers, with a picture of bottles on the advertisement. This is false advertisement. Display what is really being sold.

I'm giving this info "as a solid" to the CEO, MACYS main reason of struggle is due to their credit card carrier. They are petty and cust service doesn't solve problems and greedy. The 0 interest is never credited correctly.

and their greed and over billing on fees, interest and charges Etc. A good credit card would of kept them a float but people weren't going to pay on stuff with bad service and constant changing principal balances, esp when the stuff they buy much of it doesn't last. I made a payment in the store but IT WASN'T accounted for and the lady doing the "research on payment" took 3 months to tell me they didn't find it, she called me every two or three weeks asking the same question. She was rude and threatened me to stop shopping their. It was the icing on the cake and I took her advice.

After hacking of a regularly used card I started to use the Macy's card. I contacted Macy's to get an app to manage the card and was told they didn't have one. Several days later I was informed by my credit monitoring service that the card had exceeded its limit.
Macy's had lowered my limit to $2,000 then $1,000 without notifying me, then reported me over my limit causing a 50 point drop in credit score. They were not even apologetic but dismissive of me when Incalled to inquire. This is a horrible company who will never see another dime from me. Macys can go straight to @:$"

Ordered furniture from Macy’s which was delivered from a third party seller. Returned via UPS a few days later unopened. Seller received item Feb 10th. No credit received as of March 14th. Every time we call Macy’s we get a different excuse.

I’ve had an absolutely awful experience with Macy’s online orders. Multiple times, my shipments were either lost or returned due to “insufficient address” – despite my address being 100% correct. Each time, I reached out via chat and email, only to be met with dismissive, unhelpful customer service that did nothing to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, I’ve lost a significant amount of money because Macy’s has failed to refund me for the orders I never received. This has been a nightmare, and I wouldn’t recommend shopping here to anyone. I will never order from Macy’s again.

Foreign customer service is Terrible!!! Called in 3Xs about my credit card expiring and I had not received new one. Received the run around and 3 different explanation where my new credit card was or when to expect my new one. The automated service said it was mail on Feb 18th, one foreign rep said it was mailed Feb 23rd another said it was never mailed When I asked for an American rep was given push back to be transferred and put on hold for 18 minutes and now 15 mins. They DO NOT want to transfer you!!! Macy’s an American company should be ashamed of itself for making American citizens go through such BS and HORRIBLE custom service. This is why their business is doing so bad!!!

I ordered a parfume bottle and I received it in few days but few months later i was charged the same amount of money that was withdrawn from my bank account without even making the order. I discovered that they selected automatic refill (without my consent) just to grow their business against my will. I tried to call them and I waited for hours without any solution from them. As a result,I deleted my personal information on my account to prevent them from stilling me again.
