Item arrived. Described as wool blend tag states polyester.
The website won't open. I want to return the garment

Don’t bother purchasing from this company. The products are low quality (nothing to do with the photos on the website). I bought a jumper that was supposed to have some nice details and it was supposed to be made of a wool blend. I got something that looks nothing like it, made of 100% polyester. The return process is complicated and they probably get away with the fact that most people give up. Do yourself a favour and don’t buy anything from their website.

Absolute rubbish, do not buy from this company. I suspect they have no London outlet. Jumper was described as 100% cotton, complete lie, horrible synthetic fabric, not as described at all. I would go as far to say, probably a scam, as I’ve asked for a refund but no communication back yet. I will be trying a charge back through my bank.

Once again, crap from China. I deliberately ordered an outsize (5x) and it’s nothing like it should be! Quite short, nothing unusual about the wool quality & sort of resembles the advert… nowhere as “chunky knit” as seen in advert and that size came in at 44”, at a push. I’m so disappointed. Bloody crap… do not buy from this so called London company… its all fabricated in& around china 🤬

Same as other reviewers. Trading standards need to get involved. Looked to be Uk web site. It is clearly a warehouse in China. Dreadful quality garments not worth 10% of purchase price. Returns full of veiled threats about complexity and lost garments. Scam.

The Co. can improve by being honest & authentic. I wished I had read the reviews before purchasing this jumper which looked really nice on-line & at £34.95 considered it would be something special. (Probably twice as much as I would have paid in M&S)! Purchased on 7/12/25 arrived 23/12/25. I was shocked at the tacky, badly fitting thing I eventually opened. The title 'London' in the address gave me comfort when ordering, but this is obviously a scam & Trading Standards needs to get involved.

Do not buy from Maeve and Elara. It is not a shop in London. The website is a front for a warehouse in China. My experience is the same as that of the other reviewers. The jumper I received is a cheap mass produced garment with no labels and no care instructions. I wish I had found these reviews sooner as I am kicking myself for being scammed by this bunch of Chinese thieves. If I could give this website no stars I would.

Ordered 8th December and arrived 23rd. Not jumpers at all but cheap sweatshirts made in China. One item ordered was xl and I received small and the other one the head opening was too small to get your head through. Asked for returns label and they kept offering me another item at 9.99 and I could keep the defective items. Absolutely not. They need to be removed from Facebook. They only started their page in November 2025 which suggests they may have been shut down under another name. SCAM

Why am I not wearing my Christmas jumper?

I ordered small, it would fit a small elephant!
I asked to return it but they said their warehouse is overseas and it would cost me £25-£30

Misleading advert and not as described. Offered me 20% as a refund as it will cost £25 to return to China, Not London as advertised, and keep item which is rubbish printed synthetic material and not knitted as shown. 1 star is too many

If I could have given no stars I would have.
I ordered 2 Xmas cat sweaters, the pictures advertised looked fantastic……with the cat looking embossed.
When they finally arrived……what a disappointment.
Quality very substandard, no labels or washing instructions.
Apparently they are made in China…..forget about asking for a refund, one has to send back to China at one’s own expense….you would not hear from them again.
What an absolute rip off.
Anyone out there……..do not buy from this outfit…..biggest con merchants ever.
Need to be investigated.

I am very disappointed in the quality of this jumper - the material is flimsy, certainly not 100% cotton as claimed and it is shapeless. There are no labels or care instructions on the garment. I believe this was made in China as the tracking information showed a map of somewhere in China and at one point showed it was in customs! The company seemed genuine and is supposedly London based but I believe it is fronting a scam for cheap and nasty Chinese goods.

They say they are London based. They are not! This is cheap rubbish imported from China that took ages to get to the UK. Once here it was delivered quickly but that was down to the courrier not the company who had taken 14 days to get it into the UK from the date I ordered it. It arrived horrribly creased, badly made and nothing like the photo I based my order on. It was badly packed just stuffed into a bag. It's a complete con!

I ordered 2 cat sweatshirts as gifts for Christmas. Took a long time to arrive, not as described, poor quality, cheap polyester, not embossed as shown on site, no washing instructions or labels regarding such. Co. proports to be based in London but tracking suggests items have come from China, probably from some sweatshop where some poor people are forced to work for terrible wages. I have reported the Co. to the ASA and Action Fraud and am in the process of reporting to Facebook etc. I'm disgusted that I was scammed, since I did some research beforehand to see if they were genuine and they seemed to be so and the address in London did exist. Do not purchase from them.

This is a scam the jumper was nothing like the one advertised. Cheap printed polyester from a warehouse in China. Delivery took more than twice as long they claimed. Returns are impossible as the buyer pays the returns charge and it is not refundable. None of this made clear at time purchase. A total rip off DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF ITS SISTER COMPAIES.

Don’t believe they are being sold by a UK company they are not it’s just a scam for a Chinese supplier.

I ordered 2 sweaters. They took a long time to arrive. They are not as described - I selected a beige one and a dark grey one. A white one and a black one turned up. Quality poor, and the 'one-size' is short in length - whereas I was hoping for baggy and cosy. There are no labels or washing instructions. This company purports to be London-based but the tracking info suggested my items were being flown from somewhere. I cannot now find any info about returns or refunds. Suspect this company fronts a scam.
