We got a few quotes from various companies before deciding on MMHG, and the choice was clear after speaking with Fin, our initial contact. He had the most knowledge, gave the best recommendations, and was one of the few who did not pressure us into making a snap decision. MMHG is also one of the few companies eligible for cashback offers from banks like Santander when taking out a personal loan for solar panels, a deal we were delighted to take advantage of.

Once we signed up, we were handed over to Rosie from customer service, who was fantastic from start to finish.

The process was straightforward. We were presented with two clear options, had an engineer visit to confirm everything, and then paid the second instalment. The scaffolders were in and out in under two hours, and the very next day, our panels and battery were installed. The installation team worked quickly, left no mess, and took the time to walk us through the app, explain how the panels work, and outline any upkeep needed.

The results have been incredible. Our daily electricity spend has dropped from around £7 to under £3, and on a good day, it is as low as £1.50. The paperwork to sell electricity back to the grid was rushed through much faster than expected, meaning we could switch tariff within days and start charging our battery overnight for even greater savings.

MMHG really went above and beyond at every stage. They sent a second person to help the delivery driver unload the panels, collected the packaging the very next day, and communicated clearly throughout. They did not drop the ball once.

I love our solar panels and they were absolutely the right decision for our household. I have been recommending MMHG to everyone I know with a roof. My friends and family may be tired of my daily screenshots from the app showing our output, with the current record being 23 kW.

Bobbie was fabulous - walked through lots of options and approaches. Really clear on pricing, what could be changed to alter the price and what were the pros and cons of each option, allowing us to define what we wanted at the right price point. Easy process from my desk to come to a good quote and a way forward.

Very impressive. Video consultation very straightforward, enabling face to face discussion and live review of options and modelling. The expert was indeed an expert and enabled a very effective and transparent assessment of all aspects of solar power projects. Honest and professional, this did not feel at all like a sales pitch. The company appears to have developed a very impressive business model, with the partnership with Richmond Council an important component.

MakemyHouseGreen initially got in touch after I used their calculator to get an initial estimate for the cost of installing some solar batteries (solar panels already installed). Alex was my contact point and was enormously helpful, professional, and knowledgeable, and when he didn't know the answer, he would find out and get back to me promptly. We used Make my house Green for our Solar panels after quite a bit of research into Solar panels. We looked at what our local council were doing and they were in partnership with them. Everything from start to finished was well organised. From the guru at the beginning, to the scaffolders, to the installer and to Rosie who was our phone contact, they were brilliant. We’ve also got a fantastic product which we are really happy with. It’s early days, but I’m sure we will see the benefits very quickly.

I knew nothing about Solar until I found MakeMyHouseGreen. I was walked methodically through the process, what would be best for me and told exactly what it would cost. I placed the order and now eight weeks later we have 14 solar panels built into the roof generating all the power we need and exporting to the grid. The company kept in contact throughout, the kit arrived exactly as they said it would and it was installed three days later.. The roofers and electrician were excellent, completing the job in less than two days. Thank you MakeMyHouseGreen … good job!

This was so easy from start to finish. There was no pressure selling. Everything was fully explained by Bobbie, all my questions were answered. Booking the survey and installation was easy and flexible. The installers on the day kept me informed, it wasn't the easiest house to work with but all issues were resolved. Jon set up and explained the app to monitor the battery. All through the process Rosie regularly checked in on me and that I was happy with how everything was progressing. I am happy to recommend this company if you are looking to install solar batteries.

So we're on the road to upgrading our PV array that was an integrated 12 panel 2.16kwh from 2012.
After replacing our second Sunnyboy inverter, we checked our output, to reveal that we're down to 80% of original spec.
So "MMHG" are called in to propose the upgrade, and we're on to keep our existing FIT rate, so long as we don't extend our output beyond the original spec. with only 4 panels. So much more efficient.
We are also looking to having a separate array that's aligned with a battery and an additional 8 panels to run on our roof.
So far the price for the parts is so much better value, BUT the cost of installation is HUGE.
So far we've had an initial remote consultation & a further discussions on value, PV rating and inverter cost payback, & hopefully we're going to arrive at a satisfactory outcome this week.

Everything ran like clockwork! The fitters and electrician were really helpful and worked through some on site issues collaboratively, resulting in a perfect install. If you are thinking about solar I would highly recommended MakeMyHouseGreen =)

I've been looking into solar panels for years, but the combination of pricing and poor customer service meant that it never went further than an online indication of price or an initial discussion.

In March 25 I went to the Homebuilders and Renovations show at the NEC and spoke to 4 solar companies. All promised to contact me in the next week. MMHG were the only one who gave me a date and time for an appointment. One company emailed me after I'd paid my deposit with MMHG and were disappointed I wasn't interested in talking to them. I never heard from the others.

I had an initial discussion with Bobbie, who gave me some options for different configuratios - with online links and details - to look at and think over. We had several further discussions and made adjustments to the configuration and pricing to give me more panels and a bigger battery, still within my initial target price, and I provided photos of my property - fusebox, meter, roof space & beams, etc - to allow them to assess the house and identify any pre-work that may be required. I needed a smart meter fitted and some electrical work doing first, but I managed to arrange that through my utility company and a local electrician.

A little over 3 months later, my panels are installed and working. The actual installation was a breeze, with a great team of fitters and electrician. The day went really well and I was involved and informed all the way through.

In hindsight, there were some useful things that weren't communicated upfront, but nothing that hasn't been discussed and rectified during the overall process and the post installation review.

As an added bonus, MMHG have links with various financial institutions, so by borrowing funds for the home improvement from my own bank, I qualified for cashback, which was paid into my account within a week of the work being completed.

I can't say whether MMHG are the cheapest or the best option, but they were the ones who made sure to contact me when they said they would and gave me the time and information to make a decision. I have already recommended them to friends who are considering solar panels, on the basis that I am happy with the price, the product and the level of service from everyone I have dealt with.

We spoke to a number of companies about getting a solar installation, but none seemed to have the knowledge and honesty as this company.

Our expert, Bobbie was brilliant and spent a lot of time with us creating the system what was right for us and our house setup.

The delivery, installation and service have all been perfect and i'd reccomend them to anyone looking for a fair price and a system which is right for them.

We’ve now completed our solar journey with MMHG and it’s been faultless from start to finish. Our solar guru Jess was very informative, helpful, patient in answering lots of questions sometimes having to go over things again that she’d already explained. And importantly for us, Jess wasn’t pushy at all. She recognised this was a big investment and one that we needed to be well informed about to make a decision. In contrast we had a quote from another well known company who sent the quote a couple of mins before our first call, raced through the info and expected us to sign up there and then.

MMHG kept us informed through the journey, the sub-contractors from surveyor, scaffolders, delivery to the install team have all been first class. The actual installation is a first rate job. The team were great to have around, considered how best to complete the job so any positioning of kit, cabling and trunking was as neat as possible. They answered any questions we had and gave a good walkthrough of our set up.

Not forgetting the customer service, Rosie and colleagues who’ve kept in touch throughout with check-ins during the install to make sure we’re happy.

We’d have no hesitation in recommending MMHG.

Prompted by a flyer promoting a partnership between MMHG and my local District Council, I approached the company and had a couple of lengthy video calls with one of their’gurus’, Fin Potter.
Fin was helpful and informative, setting out different options to meet my needs and explaining how his ROI calculations had been produced.
For personal reasons I finally decided not to proceed but my decision should not reflect badly on either Fin or MMHG as a company. I feel confident that if I had chosen to continue, I would have enjoyed ongoing customer care.
