Good meeting and good advice
Leonie turned up on time, was well briefed and well prepared. We had a good and open discussion about the pros and cons of solar for us. She actively listened to our questions and had constructive answers. We found her knowledgeable and engaging. She promised to summarise our meeting and send a proposal for us to consider by the end of the day which she did.

Our initial contact left the company. No one advised us of this and when we had an online meeting it was not available.
Seb our new contact was lovely, attentive and informative
This is not a quick process but I like that as it means we're not going to be impulsive and regret whatever decision we make.
Solar is something we want to do for our house along with future proofing for our family down the line to enjoy and be sustainable so far this company is not the usual sell sell sell but just as invested in the technology

Annoying Company
I continually get unsolicited marketing emails from this company, despite unsubscribing numerous times. I sent a complaint asking them to manually remove my details which has been ignored, so even if I was considering solar panels, would I use them - NO. They are a menace.

Everything was managed & installed BUT…
Everything was managed & installed excellently but your accounts system is woeful. My initial invoices had grossly incorrect dates, a £400 payment escaped your attention and I had to repeatedly chase SEG documents after payment.

Excellent company price wise average and similar to other companies I was quoted.
I have very good experience using MakeMyHouseGreen as part of Santander trusted partner. I will also receive some cashback as part of the Greener home scheme. So make sure you do some research before hand. The installation was super easy and quick. Overall experience communication was superb as they can work around your days.

Utter useless
Utter useless. They provided batteries that won't charge and not fit for purpose. Finally got them to agree to send someone out (after they left a broken solar crumbling panel on site and didn't seem to think / know / be bothered to collect it). A date was agreed. The electrician called to say he couldn't do the agreed date, I offered an alternative, the electrician said I'll come back to you and has never been heard from again. Chased them up, repeatedly asked for my availability (seemingly from now until the end of time), given them many options and still nothing set. Now they turn round and say I have to pay in advance for the visit, to check the batteries that they supplied that haven't worked in months and not fit for purpose, when a charge for the visit was never mentioned when the visit was first scheduled in. My only conclusion is their after sales service is appalling, they don't care about you once they have done the installation and good luck with the equipment working.

No hard sell, just great advice and a willingness to listen
I'll admit it - where solar and battery is concerned we are an outlier house. I know, to the kWh, what our annual consumption is for every day over the past 5 years. I know what percentage is heat pump, EV, cooking - I'm very boring!! But I wanted to hear from an expert about whether I could lower my bills and be even more green by getting solar & batteries (SPOILER: I can't). Fin, the consultant, took the time to listen to me, and explained his thoughts clearly and in a way that wasn't hard sell. We ended up agreeing that I was running a very frugal operation, in terms of both kWh and ££, and that neither solar or batteries would be of benefit or make any kind of meaningful ROI within 15-20 years. This was refreshing, and I am now going to keep Make My House Green on my radar in case any future developments in tech or legislation change things. Good to be able to have an adult conversation with no overt selling - just useful info and a knowledgeable sounding board to work from. Thank you for this refreshing change!!!
